Story
Addie is a sweet, good natured, loving girl. She is looking for a new home because her person has become ill and is no longer able to care for her. Her family is caring for her now, but she needs a new home by the end of the year. She is very well behaved, housetrained, and a lovely companion. She does like to run around a bit, so a fenced in back yard is a must (or controlled outdoor area like a farm). She is good on a leash. As you can see, she is fully vetted, spayed, and chipped, so she is healthy and ready to go. She is the perfect medium size. She is friendly to dogs, people, and children. Cats are unknown—she has not been around them. She will make a wonderful, loving addition to your family. Please call for more info and to begin the adoption process. Let’s find this sweet girl a forever home for the holidays!

Story
Brodi is a very good boy and a sweet young dog. He was rescued from a shelter in kentucky and is living with us here at Redwing Dog Refuge. Brodie is a super good dog who, although he ca be exuberant, has very good manners. He is very sweet and loving and good with people and other dogs. He is housetrained and good on a leash. He is smart and knows his basic commands and will come when called. He loves to chase balls that are thrown for him. He could potentially be an excellent Frisbee dog. He is physically very robust and would be a great dog to take along on adventures. He will make a wonderful dog for a family. If you are interested, please give us a call at 502-445-2749 and we can set up a visit. Thanks.

Story
Arlo is such a good boy. He just spent 5 moths in a shelter where we rescued him from. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and very housebroken. He is about 70 lbs and 2 years old, so fully grown. He is very well behaved and good on a leash. He can have his active moments, but settles down quickly. He would love a place with room to run and an active owner to take him for walks and hikes. He is great with people, kids, and other dogs, but he does have a prey drive, so no small animals or cats. He is very chill around the house and happy to just sit with his person. He is an excellent protection dog. He is very intelligent, and responds very well to training and structure. We dont really know his breed, but he acts like a cross between a lab and a small Great Dane. If yoou are looking for a great companion and adventure dog, you cannot do better than Arlo. Please call if you have an interest. Thanks.

Story
Arapahoe is bright-eyed, a little shy but friendly, puppy! She is currently about 15 weeks of age and was born under a porch in rural Kentucky. She is a beautiful people, dog and cat-friendly girl and will make a great addition to most family makeups! We rescued the entire family, mom and 7 puppies! Mom has an AMAZING temperament and puppies have the potential to follow suit! Arapahoe is tri-colored, but predominately reddish/brown and black, and should grow to a medium size dog. She currently weighs in at 13 pounds. Her mother weighs in at under 40 pounds. Arapahoe is a bright and exuberant girl with all the potential to be a super adult dog! She would like a family with patience and commitment to raising a puppy! Proper socialization and obedience training will take her far to help her grow up and be a nicely mannered adult pup! If you'd like to meet Arapahoe, please contact us through email at blueridgerescue@aol.com

Story
Hi! My name is Bella, and I can't wait to find my furever family. I really love to play, and to take long walks for exercise. I would love to be your hiking buddy! I love pets and want nothing more to be snuggled up next to you or in your lap! Netflix and Chill??? I like to bounce around the yard with my friends, they tell me I look like a rabbit and make them laugh! Likes: 👍 playing with dogs and people 👍 snuggles and getting pets after exercise 👍 adventures and time outside exploring with her hound nose 👍 loves naps in the crate after activities 👍treadmill walks when the weather is gross Dislikes: 👎 loud noises bother her but not super badly (gunshots, loud thunder, fireworks) 👎 rude dogs or dogs that are too rough with her 👎 being picked up but does much better with practice 👎 heavy rain My ideal home would be an active home with have a fenced yard, since I love to run and explore. I would also really love a fur sibling. I am very sensitive and would like a home without young human children. I am crate trained, and love that it is my safe space. If you think I could be the perfect addition to your home, please fill out an application at https://thearrowfund.org/our-animals/adoption-application/, and tell them Bella sent ya! Don't forget to share so I can find my perfect home. #rescuedogsofinstagram #louisville #animalrescue #rescue #dogsoflouisville #adoptdontshop #rescueismyfavoritebreed #instadog #dogsofinstagram #rescuedog #animaladvocates #fosterdog #foster #adopt

Story
Penny is a 15 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  November 29, 2023, 8:20 am
