Story
My partner and I adopted Tango about six months ago. We were told he was social, good with dogs and cats, great at dog parks/doggie daycare, etc. He seemed perfect for us as we have two cats and another small dog who are all rescues. Sadly, this has not been the case. Tango has shown high levels of reactivity to both our cats and to certain dogs. He has problems with resource guarding and has lunged/growled/barked/snapped at all members of our family. He has never broken skin, but we do worry. He has not been friendly to guests and struggled at doggie daycare. Tango is highly food motivated and has responded well to basic command and potty training with only a few recent accidents inside. Tango is also crate trained. We feel like Tango can thrive in a low-key home and with adequate training. There is no adoption fee because we would rather you spend the money on getting him training. He loves head scratches, walks, and peanut butter. Please consider this handsome boy! He deserves it.

Story
❤️ Ludlow is a sweet big baby who wants nothing more than to be your best friend & will steal your heart. He originally came from a kill shelter in GA. Ludlow would do best with an experienced owner who lives an active lifestyle & has empathy, patience, & understanding. He would prefer to be the only pet. He is very gentle with kids of all ages but older children are preferred as he is clumsy with his long legs! ❤️ Ludlow has severe separation anxiety. Because of his anxiety, he needs constant stimulation and something to chew on most of the time. He MUST go to an owner who has the time and patience to get to know him as he was abused in the past: ❤️ Although he may require hard work and patience, he is the sweetest boy and is the BEST cuddle & car buddy! He knows “sit” “stay” and “lie down”. ❤️ I will provide you with his bowls, crate, leash, harness, toys and grooming tools. He is also on Apoquel for allergies and takes this daily.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Everett, MA Meet Kingston! He is a 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 65 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Kingston is fearful of strangers. He is good with dogs! He hasn’t been tested around cats. No children, due to his reactivity! Kingston bit the owner’s father after he grabbed his collar because he was barking. He also bit the owner last year. This occurred while they were playing ball. Kingston jumped on the couch and bit the owner after he took the ball from him. The owner is surrendering him because they can’t provide the environment that he needs to thrive. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Kingston, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Kingston. Owner’s Contact Information: Zach Herman at (978) 835-8175 or zfherman@verizon.net.

Story
****************** ADOPTION PENDING ********************* Meet Darling Doug! Doug, a hairy hairless Chinese Crested, unique and rare, With his fluffy tufts and skin so bare. Though he may seem unconventional, it's plain to see, He's the perfect pup for you and me! At fourteen years old, he's a senior dog through and through, But age hasn't dimmed his spirit, it's still anew. His silly zoomies and tail-chasing will steal your heart, And from the very beginning, you'll never want to part. Though deaf, little Doug is full of good cheer, His other senses make up for his inability to hear. With a sideways gait and bunny ears so sweet, He's the cutest pup you'll ever meet! Doug recently lost his beloved human mom and dad, Who cherished him dearly, the only people he had. Before being fostered, he was scared, sad, and alone, Now he’s blossoming and looking for a family of his own. Having separation anxiety, he may bark and fuss, But as he learns to self-soothe, he'll gain more trust. The companionship of another dog would help him grow, Confidence and calmness, his buddy would show. He gets along with other pets, including felines, Doug is a solid eater, on kibble and wet food he dines. Living with incontinence, a challenge he faces, A belly band would help him with inside spaces. Though he struggles with stairs, they're quite a chore, But with a helping hand, he'll manage to explore. Grooming and skincare will ensure his naked body glows, And to keep him warm, he prefers to wear clothes. Doug is an affectionate pup, oh so snug, He’s twelve pounds of love, a real cuddle bug. He dreams of bedtime snoozing, right by your side, In his favorite fluffy bed, he'll happily abide. So if you're ready for a loyal friend, no lie, Darling Doug will be your best senior guy! (Yes, Doug has a very creative foster mom!) Doug needs a home where he is not alone much and has the company of another small gentle dog to give him confidence. He needs a forever home that understands deaf dogs and will give him a peaceful, quiet home to live out his senior years. He is a very special little man! (Doug is being fostered in Western PA)

Story
Meet Griffin. He's a frisky and fun three year old Chinese Crested who came to us as an owner surrender. He's loving life in his foster home as he waits to find a family of his own. Griffin is very puppy-like in terms of his temperament! He's playful and energetic and loves his toys. Griffin is great with other dogs. He would love to have another small playful dog like himself in his foster home, as he loves to wrestle and play. He loves to eat, and even with a slow feeder dish he's the first one finished and then tries to help himself to others' food! It's best to feed him separately. It takes him a minute to warm up to a new face but once he does, he becomes a Velcro dog who stays close to his person and would not be happy in a "no dogs on the furniture" type of household. Griffin is a lapdog and loves to cuddle. He also takes his job as watchdog very seriously and he loves to exercise his freedom of speech whenever someone comes to the door or walks by the house, so he's not a great candidate for apartment living. He's also super fast and can never be allowed off leash. A securely fenced yard would make him happy, as he loves to run zoomies like the wind! He's a smart boy who learns quickly, and is doing fantastic with leash training and house training. He has no health issues that we know of and he certainly has plenty of energy. Griffin would be happiest in an adult only home with people that are around a lot of the time and who could continue his training, show him patience and kindness until he settles in, and appreciate this silly, quirky, boy and how special he is. He recently went on a little vacation to a different foster home while his other foster parents were away and settled in quickly and had a blast with the other Crested in the home and running in the fenced yard, so that is what he is hoping for in his forever home. If you think this fun little guy might be perfect for you and vice versa, please submit an application. (Griffin is being fostered in New England)

Story
Charm's name suits her well, as this girl is so sweet and charming! She is a 2 year old powderpuff girl who is looking for a low-key home to call her own. We believe that she was not socialized well as a puppy, so she can be nervous and sensitive in new situations. She will take time to settle in and feel comfortable. She needs a gentle, confident dog in the home to help her learn the ropes and be brave. She loves her humans and looks to them for reassurance. She is easily startled by loud voices and sudden movements, so a home with no young children is required. She enjoys playing with toys and cuddling with her humans. She is a quiet, gentle girl who loves to be petted. She is working on her housetraining but training will need to be continued in her forever home. She is nervous on leash, especially when cars go by. She is hoping for a quiet forever home where she can be doted upon and have a gentle dog buddy like herself. She is a smaller girl at 10 lbs. We can't wait to see this wonderful little girl blossom as she becomes more confident! (Charm is being fostered in New England)
