Story
Say hello to darling little Peggy. Look at that face! That awesome hairdo! She came to us when her former owner passed away and she was brought to a shelter. Peggy is a senior girl, about 10 years old. She is looking for a quiet, peaceful home to enjoy her golden years (so no young kids, please). We don't know what her past life was like, but she has some fear issues and is going to require a patient adopter who will allow her time and space to get to know them. She loves just sleeping quietly beside you while you work or watch TV. She is hard to catch if there is something she doesn't want to do, such as going outside, so she needs a home with someone who can work with her on that. She also requires a fenced yard, as she tries to bolt when frightened. She is not a dog who wants to go out and about. She was absolutely terrified when she recently went to the vet, including in the car, so she just wants to stay home and enjoy the security of that. She gets extremely stressed in the car, so a home in close proximity to her foster home is needed. She does not like pesty dogs getting her space and will warn them, so a home with active dogs would not be a match, but a low-key, respectful older small dog would be fine. Peggy weighs about 12 lbs and she is hoping to find a home where someone is home a lot of the time. She will give you lots of snuggle time sitting close beside you on the couch in return. (Peggy is being fostered in TN)

Story
********** ADOPTION PENDING *************** Introducing Lily and Zeplin, a charming bonded pair of 9 year old Cresteds. Lily is the powderpuff girl and Zeplin is the hairless boy. They came to our rescue after a good Samaratin found them running loose down the middle of the road. She was able to locate the owner, who said the dogs were always escaping from the yard and she didn't want them anymore. So here they are, safe and sound! They absolutely MUST be adopted as a pair. We will not split them up, so don't ask. Zeplin is quite timid. He spent the first 3 weeks at his foster home on a chair under a blanket. He is slowly starting to come out of his shell and loves going outside with his person, while Lily prefers to follow you absolutely everywhere. She is the more outgoing of the two and is Zeplin's security blanket. When he had a vet appointment and she stayed home, they both got extremely upset and screamed to let us know they were not happy being apart! They both ride nicely in the car. They require a fenced yard, as they were used to running off at their former home, so they need a fence to be kept secure. Zeplin is housetrained, while Lily is still working on that skill, which will be an ongoing process. They are looking for a quiet, patient home that understands they will take a while to open up and blossom. They need a home without young kids, where someone is home a lot of the time. They are looking forward to finally being a treasured part of someone's life. (Lily & Zeplin are being fostered in northeastern Ohio)

Story
It is with heavy hearts that we need to Rehome our handsome coonhoud, Fred. Fred is approximately 7-8 years old, in good health and up to date with all shots and medical visits. Fred is very gentle and friendly while maintaining his great sense of humor. He is a cuddly boy and loves to be with people and other dogs. He seems to be gentle with cats however has not lived with one to the best of our knowledge. He is still active and loves to play but also enjoys his walks sniffing his way through the neighborhood. He is a coonhound so prone to wander off if not on leash or in a fenced area. Fred loves to talk to everyone on his walks. We are two seniors with health issues. Due to this change in our life it is now necessary to move into an apartment close to our family. Fred deserves someone/family who can give him time and attention which he loves!

Story
Trinity: The Hug-Giving Love Bug Meet Trinity, a 2-year-old mixed breed with a whole lot of love to give! This sweet girl is playful, affectionate, and full of joyful energy. She adores spending time with people and is happiest when she’s showering her humans with affection (and plenty of hugs and kisses!). Trinity thinks she’s a lap dog (yes, all 50-”ish” of her!) and will gladly climb right into your lap to soak up every bit of attention. Sometimes she doesn’t realize just how big and strong she is, but her intentions are pure sweetness. If you sit down at her level, be prepared to be smothered with love! She’s equal parts cuddle bug and ball of energy, making her the perfect mix of fun playmate and loyal companion. Trinity is ready to find her forever family—the lucky ones who will get all of her devotion, snuggles, and her big, goofy hugs. If you’re looking for a dog who will love you with her whole heart (and then some), Trinity is your girl!

Story
Meet Zola: The Cozy Queen with a Heart of Gold 🛋️💛 Say hello to Zola, a 7-year-old mixed breed sweetheart who is dreaming of a home where she can truly max and relax. This shy, gentle girl may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she’s as sweet as pie and just as comforting to be around. Zola is a smart cookie with the most endearing habits. She knows her basic commands, is house trained, and will absolutely steal your heart with her love of routine and comfort. If you tell her to “get your blanket and go to bed,” she knows *exactly* what to do—she’ll grab her special blanket and settle in like a pro. While she loves her downtime, Zola has a playful side too! She enjoys tug-of-war, knows how to play hide-and-seek, and when the fun is over, she’s a world-class snuggler. Zola is looking for a calm, loving home that understands her gentle nature and gives her the time and space to feel safe. In return, she’ll offer unwavering loyalty, quiet companionship, and the coziest cuddles you could ever ask for. If you’re searching for a sweet, smart, and snuggly companion to share peaceful days and warm nights with, Zola might just be your perfect match. 🐾💕
