Story
Courtesy Post - Owner Surrender/Rehoming - West Boylston, MA Meet Aries (black tri with blue eyes)! He is a 6 year old Australian Shepherd that weighs around 35 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm preventatives. He is dog reactive, so no other dogs please! He will chase cats and hasn’t been around children. He is protective of his family when inside the home. He does better in new locations but is still on guard. Aries can benefit from training around other dogs and strangers, due to his reactivity. He has also nipped a person who grabbed onto the owner. He is being surrendered because the owner has a family emergency and is unable to keep him. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible please! Meet Effie (black tri with brown eyes)! She is a 4 year old Miniature American Shepherd that weighs around 27 lbs. She is up to date on shots but isn’t spayed or on heartworm preventatives. She will bark at other dogs and follow Aries lead but she isn’t aggressive towards them. She will also chase cats and hasn’t been around kids. She is skittish around new people touching her but will warm up after 20-30 minutes. She is being surrendered because the owner has a family emergency and is unable to keep her. She needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible please! Please contact the owner listed below if you think you can provide a great home for Aries and Effie. They are a bonded pair that will need to stay together. There is a $300 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for this assistance in placing Aries and Effie. Story
Leah is spayed! She will bite on our white labs legs and gets into fights with our black lab mix. Our black lab mix is a female and white lab is a male. Leah is a very energetic dog. We took her in from a home that could not take care of her and we had her get fixed, updated shots and just planned on keeping her as a foster dog until we found someone that would love her as much as we would. Our home is expanding and unfortunately with three dogs it’s hard to train her as well as we would like to. She is territorial on her back side and will let you know but not bite you at first, but will warn you by putting jaws out as if she is about to bite. She has never bitten any of my children and will bark at men constantly until she gets to know them on a regular, then will cuddle with them. Leah is a smart dog but needs to be with a single woman with no pets that can give her more attention that we wish we could give her now. I also have all her updated records from vet.
