Story
Ziti is a sweet, affectionate dog who came to us as a stray, so we're still learning about his past. In the shelter, Ziti has shown himself to be a true love bug. He enjoys attention, seeks out affection, and loves to play. Ziti can be shy and cautious around men at first, but with patience, consistency, and kindness, he warms up and becomes much more confident. Outside of those initial moments, his playful and loving personality really comes through. Ziti has met several other dogs here at the shelter and has enjoyed playing with them. While his history with cats is unknown, any introductions to other animals should be slow, thoughtful, and well managed. Ziti would do best in a home that understands the importance of giving him time to build trust, especially in new situations. With a supportive environment and positive experiences, his confidence will continue to grow - and his affectionate nature will shine. If you're looking for a loving companion who just needs a little patience to show his best self, Ziti may be the perfect fit.

Story
Shamrock came to us a stray so her background is a mystery to us. What we did know was that we had a sweet dog who was terrified, shutdown and in need of love, help and guidance. With the selflessness of a wonderful foster home, we were able to see just who Shamrock is! She immediately opened up and found comfort with the resident dog along with her foster mom and daughter. We found out she loves couches, cuddles and of course treats! She is smart and food motivated to learn any command she can. Shamrock was described by her foster mom as 90% cuddles and 10% kangaroo; she gives so many kisses and loves a good belly rub. Shamrock still gets nervous around new people and situations, something that will probably never go away but with patience and understanding is easily manageable. What Shamrock now needs: *a quiet home with stability and patience *a confident, friendly dog in the home to be her friend *a home without any feline residents *a fenced in yard is preferable- she does LOVE to play fetch

Good with kids, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sashi is a friendly, outgoing boy who loves meeting new people and making friends wherever he goes. He’d prefer a home with older kids who can match his energy and give him the respectful space he needs to feel comfortable. Previously a farm dog, Sashi was trained to leave chickens and goats alone, but he still has a strong instinct to chase small animals, including cats, so he’ll need a cat-free home. He can also be selective with other dogs and may guard his favorite items, so he’d thrive as an only dog. With the right management and thoughtful introductions, he may be able to live with a compatible canine friend. Sashi knows some basic cues and is an absolute joy to walk, he’s polite on leash and always ready for an adventure. Whether it’s hiking, exploring, or enjoying the outdoors year-round, Sashi will be right by your side with a happy tail and a big smile. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share your adventures, Sashi is ready to meet you!

Sunny is a wonderful lady with a gentle spirit. She can be a bit shy at first and takes her time warming up to new people and dogs, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality really begins to shine. She has never lived with a cat before, but with the right slow and thoughtful introduction, she might be able to share her home with one. She has previously lived with dogs and may be able to again, as long as introductions are patient and gradual. Sunny already knows some basic cues, is a joy to walk on leash, and absolutely loves a good game of fetch. Whether it’s a quiet stroll, a fun play session, or simply relaxing by your side, Sunny is a loyal companion ready to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. If you’re looking for a sweet, steady friend who just needs a little time to bloom, Sunny may be the perfect match!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Lucky is searching for a quiet, committed home where he can truly feel safe. Life hasn’t always been easy for him, and he’s looking for someone who understands that trust can take time, and that the journey is worth it. Lucky is happiest as the only animal in the home. He cannot live with cats, dogs, or other pets, and he’s not comfortable around children. What he does need is a calm, adult-only household where his people respect his boundaries and allow him to settle in at his own pace. When visitors come over, Lucky will need a designated safe space where he can relax without pressure. He takes time to warm up to new people and does not want to share his space with visiting kids. Lucky isn’t looking for a busy home or a big social life he’s looking for “his person,” someone who sees him for who he is and accepts every quirk.

Story
Louie is eager to make your acquaintance. He may come across as a bit shy at first, but give him some time and you’ll uncover a true love-bug just waiting to blossom. Louie does best when he’s allowed to warm up at his own pace, and once he feels comfortable, he’s all about cuddles, affection, and quality time with his people. The great outdoors is Louie’s happy place. He loves exploring the woods with his nose to the ground and enjoys a good game of fetch. He’d thrive with a family who’s around to spend time with him, as he truly values companionship. Louie has a history of being friendly with other dogs, but after previously living in a busy environment with limited space, he’s hoping his next home will offer a calmer atmosphere, one with structure, quiet moments, and plenty of room to relax and decompress. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will reward your patience with loyalty and love, Louie may be the perfect match for you.
