Story
Ziti is a sweet, affectionate dog who came to us as a stray, so we're still learning about his past. In the shelter, Ziti has shown himself to be a true love bug. He enjoys attention, seeks out affection, and loves to play. Ziti can be shy and cautious around men at first, but with patience, consistency, and kindness, he warms up and becomes much more confident. Outside of those initial moments, his playful and loving personality really comes through. Ziti has met several other dogs here at the shelter and has enjoyed playing with them. While his history with cats is unknown, any introductions to other animals should be slow, thoughtful, and well managed. Ziti would do best in a home that understands the importance of giving him time to build trust, especially in new situations. With a supportive environment and positive experiences, his confidence will continue to grow - and his affectionate nature will shine. If you're looking for a loving companion who just needs a little patience to show his best self, Ziti may be the perfect fit.

Story
Please come meet Frank & Nova! This "opposites attract" duo is ready to find a nice, quiet, comfy home they can share and relax in. Frank is a laid back love bug while Nova is energetic and sassy! You get the best of both worlds with this pair. They are each others security blankets, so we would really like them to stay together. They love to play with each other. They both enjoy walks and walk well on leash. While Nova can have dog friends, Frank prefers only Nova as his friend. They would need a home without any cats but both would be fine with kids.

Story
Maddie is a small Jack Russell Chihuahua mix. She was rescued from a puppy mill in PA when she was 10 weeks old. We are rehoming due to her howling when we leave the apartment. Our landlord won’t allow it. Positives: Crate trained Potty trained Leash and harness trained Loves to play, run, be outside Cute, sweet, cuddly, aims to please, treat driven, good with other dogs (she is a dominant female though- meaning she may growl at a dog that is not submissive or try to get away from the dog. She also will try to eat another dogs food so separate eating areas is important for safety of both dogs) Negatives: Maddie has separation anxiety at times when you leave the house. She will howl if she knows your outside and she’s in a crate or loose in the house. Not the best fit for apartments due to this. Not great in the car- she howls most of the drive. She is afraid of the car and will work herself up. Not sure about kids. If kid home, must monitor closely so she feels safe.

Story
Henny is 5.5 years old and was adopted through Rescue Inc. out of Massachusetts in January 2022. He is a sweet, gentle boy who doesn’t have much energy. He will play with his brother from time to time but often won’t initiate. He loves to run outside and cuddle his people and brother on the couch. Henny is house trained, crate trained, muzzle trained, and knows basic commands. Henny lives with one other dog and an infant. Henny has shown some curiosity towards the baby, but otherwise keeps to himself. Henny has displayed some jealousy issues and reactivity. More information on this can be provided. Henny is dog selective and may benefit from a single dog home with an owner who has experience with reactivity. Putting him up for adoption is not an easy decision for our family. Henny is a fantastic dog and would be a great addition to your family!
