Story
Buddy is a 2½ year old mixed breed sweetheart with a tender heart and a quiet bravery that grows a little more each day. He’s a nervous boy right now, still learning that the world isn’t as scary as it once seemed. But with patience, kindness, and steady support, Buddy is now ready for a home that will help him continue that journey. Buddy gets to know new people and places at his own pace, and he deserves a family who will celebrate each small step forward. He’ll do best in a calm, predictable home with older children (14+) who can understand his boundaries and help him feel safe. Give him gentle guidance, reassurance when things feel uncertain, and the freedom to explore on his terms, and you’ll see his confidence bloom. And once he warms up? Buddy is incredibly sweet. He softens, relaxes, and lets his beautiful personality shine; curious, affectionate, and quietly playful. His trust is something special and earning it truly feels like a gift. Buddy is looking for a patient, loving home that understands that progress comes in moments, not miles. If you’re someone who finds joy in supporting a dog as he discovers that the world can be a kind and safe place, Buddy will reward you with a deep bond, gentle love, and the pride of watching him become who he’s meant to be.

Story
Meet String Bean! Lovingly known as Bean, this boy has a beautiful personality that shines through once he is comfortable. Bean came to us as a stray, and while the world was a bit scary at first, he has learned that people can be kind and that love can feel really good. Once he opens his heart up to you, his goofy and playful self comes out. He loves to romp around with a toy in mouth, show you some happy zoomies, and then snuggle up for some well-earned affection. He is on the lookout for a patient home where he can continue to build his confidence. We estimate that String Bean is about 2 years old, and he is 36 pounds. He has no known history with cats, and may be compatible with other dogs which he would need to meet here to ensure compatibility. Bean would prefer to have an adult-only home. If you are looking for a sweet, soulful companion with a touch of silliness, String Bean may be the dog for you! Fill out an application to meet String Bean during our open hours.

Say hello to Honey!! This gorgeous 10 year old Shepherd mix lives up to her name! She’s pure sweetness. Honey is a gentle, affectionate lovebug who adores cozy naps, soft pets, and simply being near her favorite people. If you’re looking for a calm, loyal companion to share your quiet moments, Honey might be the perfect match.
