Palomo was my husband’s dog and my husband passed away. Palomo is a sweet dog but I am not able to care for him properly. He would be good for a home with a large yard. He is 5 years old and has a kennel that can go with him.

Story
Abby is a gorgeous 6.5-year-old Labrador Retriever and Bluetick Coonhound mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! This sweet girl originally came to us at Stray Haven from North Carolina in 2021. Sadly, she recently found her way back to the shelter after her previous adopter passed away, and now she's searching for a new, permanent family to cherish her.Abby is quite the social butterfly and has so much love to give. She'll thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention and share all her amazing energy! The Ideal Home for AbbyDog Friends: Abby can be a little choosy about her canine companions. We recommend a meet-and-greet with any existing dogs in the home to see if they're a good match. No Cats, Please: She would prefer a home without any feline friends.House Manners: Abby is a smart cookie! She's excellent about keeping her kennel clean here at the shelter, which means she'll likely pick up a potty schedule quickly and easily in her new home.If you are looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, Abby is ready to fill your life with joy! Could you be the one to give this deserving girl the loving forever home she dreams of?....Never been to Stray Haven?Stop by during our open hours. No appointment needed.…..Stray Haven194 Shepard RoadWaverly, New York 14892…..Hours Tuesday-Friday 10-5Saturday 10-4Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays

Story
Meet Goose, the goofy, affectionate boy who is ready to wiggle his way right into your heart! At roughly 1 year old, Goose is in that perfect young adult sweet spot—he’s moved past the tiny puppy phase but still has all the playful energy and zest for life you could want in a companion. According to his previous shelter, he is a Boxer and Jack Russell Terrier mix, which explains his unique look and charming personality. He perfectly blends the "wiggle butt" enthusiasm of a Boxer with the clever, compact, and curious spirit of a Jack Russell. Basically, he’s a big dog personality in a perfectly medium-sized package!Goose is a certified love bug through and through. If you’re sitting down, he will likely try to find a way to become a "lap dog," even if he doesn't quite fit. He thrives on human connection and will be your most loyal shadow, whether you're heading out for a morning hike or settling in for a movie marathon. He is famous for his "lean"—resting his weight against your legs just to remind you he’s there—and his highly motivated nature makes him a dream to train, especially if treats are involved. The ideal home for Goose is one that embraces both his silly side and his need for adventure. Since he is still a "teenager" in dog years, he’s looking for an active family or individual who can provide him with consistent structure and plenty of mental stimulation. In return, Goose promises to provide a lifetime of laughs, loyal companionship, and more tail wags than you can count. If you're looking for a best friend who is always up for the next adventure, Goose is your guy!Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays

Story
Behold, Dee Dee Ramone, a canine of exquisite taste and unparalleled judgment, who has been available for adoption (to the most deserving of human servants) for over a year. If you're seeking a dog who enjoys the company of other animals, thrives in chaotic environments, and enjoys sharing attention, please avert your eyes immediately. Dee Dee is not for you. This distinguished dog possesses a unique set of preferences, including but not limited to: a serene, quiet home devoid of other pets, humans who understand the art of personal space, and an unwavering commitment to meeting her every whim. Dee Dee is not one for casual acquaintances; she demands loyalty, respect, and a deep understanding of her superior intellect.Adopting Dee Dee is not merely acquiring a pet; it's entering into a binding contract of servitude. You will be expected to provide a sanctuary of tranquility, free from the disturbances of lesser beings. In return, you will receive the unparalleled honor of basking in her regal presence and the occasional, begrudging display of affection. So, if you're prepared to dedicate your life to the worship of a canine monarch, Dee Dee Ramone awaits your humble application.Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays

Story
🐾 Hi, I'm Jackson! 🐾I'm a super-sweet Boxer, and I just turned 7 years old! You might notice I have a little something special about me—I'm totally deaf. But guess what? That doesn't slow me down one bit! I rely on my eyes, my nose, and my amazing sense of wiggle to experience the world.I think of myself as an expert-level cuddler and a full-time professional snuggler. Even though I can't hear them, I watch my humans really carefully, and I know exactly what they mean when they wave their hands or give me a big smile.I have so much energy and love to play! I can run and chase toys with the best of them. I'm a really happy boy, and I make sure to give everyone I meet the biggest, wiggliest greeting ever. Life is an adventure, and I'm ready for the next one!Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays
