Story
🌸 Meet Cricket! 🌸 This sweet little lady is ready to find her forever home! Cricket is a small mixed breed, weighing around 25 pounds — just the right size for snuggles, car rides, and being your constant companion. She’s about a year and a half old and already potty trained! Cricket has one gorgeous blue eye that makes her truly one of a kind. She’s incredibly lovable, adores kids and people, and gets along great with other dogs too. Wherever she goes, her gentle personality and happy tail win everyone over. 💕 Cricket came to us from Louisiana, where she was rescued from a kill shelter along with her two puppies. Her babies have already found their forever homes, and now it’s finally her turn to be the one who’s spoiled with love! She’s scheduled for her spay, which will be fully covered by the rescue. She’s also up to date on her vaccinations and all ready to meet her new family. Cricket’s story is one of second chances and unconditional love. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a heart of gold (and the prettiest blue eye you’ve ever seen!), Cricket could be your perfect match. 🩵🐶 Application to adopt https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/STRR/Dog

Story
💔 Meet Lucy — the little dog who still believes in love. 🐾 Lucy was found tied to a tree, her body showing she’d just had puppies. She’s estimated around 2 years old and still very much a puppy at heart, full of joy, curiosity, and hope. We believe Lucy was kept in a basement or garage before she was rescued. Because of that, she’s still learning her house manners, but she’s catching on quickly with consistency and patience. She’s such a smart, eager girl who just wants to make you proud. She is an absolute lover and snuggles up like a nice heated blanket 🐾 Lucy loves her chew toys — she keeps one in every room like little treasures she’s collected now that she finally has a safe place to call home. 🧸 She adores other dogs and will play with them all day long, and she’d love to be friends with cats too (though her excitement can be a bit much for some). After all she’s survived, Lucy deserves a family who will give her the love and security she’s been missing. She’s ready for her second chance — could it be with you? 💕

Story
🐾💙 Meet Gus — the Sweetest Little Shadow You’ll Ever Have! 💙🐾 Gus is an approximately 7–9-year-old, 25-pound small mixed breed boy who has the gentlest soul and the biggest heart. This handsome guy is up to date on his shots and is scheduled for his neuter in December. He may be a little older, but don’t let that fool you — he has plenty of love, charm, and tail wags left to give! Gus absolutely adores people and is especially wonderful with kids. He can be a little nervous around men at first, but once he realizes you’re kind, he warms up quickly and becomes your very best friend. And when he bonds… oh boy. Gus is a clinger, a true little shadow who just wants to be near his person and soak up all the love he’s missed out on. He gets along well with other dogs, though he prefers polite friends — no jumping on him, please! He also doesn’t seem to mind cats, making him a great fit for many types of homes. Gus appears to be mostly potty trained, though he gets nervous going outside alone. We truly believe he’s afraid of being left behind again. With reassurance and patience, he’s already improving, and he just needs someone who will remind him he’s safe and loved. He is also crate trained, did wonderfully in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. Overall, Gus is a sweet, happy, gentle boy who just wants to be loved and to love right back. He’s been through a lot, but he hasn’t let it dim his spirit one bit. He’s ready for a family who will cherish him and show him that forever really does mean forever. 💕 If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side and fill your home with warmth, Gus might just be the perfect match. 🐶💙

🐾💙 Meet Faroah! 💙🐾 This handsome Husky boy was born around May 12, 2025, and he’s full of personality and love! He is up to date on shots and neutered. Faroah is playful, affectionate, and always ready to make new friends — both with people and other dogs. He does great with kids and has even seen the cats a few times… they didn’t stick around long, but he didn’t seem too bothered, so with proper introductions, he might do just fine with them too! 😄 Faroah is currently working on his potty training and doing really well. He’s a smart boy and picks things up quickly! Like most Huskies, he’s very vocal — he loves to “talk” and share his opinions with everyone around him. 🎤🐺 You’ll never be bored with this chatterbox in your home! One thing Faroah isn’t a fan of yet is the crate. He’ll let you know exactly how he feels about it with his impressive howls and cries. So we’d say he’s still learning about crate time! 😉 Faroah is full of life, love, and energy — the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a spirited Husky and all the laughter (and singing) that comes with them! ❤️

🐾 Adoption Update! 🐾 There will be no adoption event this weekend, but that doesn’t mean the cuteness stops! 🥰 Throughout the week, we’ll be featuring some of our wonderful cats and dogs who are still waiting patiently to find their forever homes. 💕 We will still be doing meet-and-greets for anyone who is pre-approved to adopt, so if you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, now’s the perfect time! 🏡🐶🐱 Just fill out the adoption application below to get pre-approved — it’s quick and easy! ✨ Meet Tux! ✨ This sweet boy is around 6 to 8 years old and has been with our rescue for almost two years waiting for that special home to call his own. 🖤🤍 Tux is paralyzed from the waist down, but don’t let that fool you — he doesn’t let anything slow him down! 💪 He does have a little wheelchair, but he prefers to scoot around on his own, and he gets around amazingly well. Because of his paralysis, Tux wears diapers or belly wraps and will need a home that can give him a little extra care and a lot of love. ❤️ He’s great with other dogs and kids, and he absolutely loves to play with squeaky toys — they’re his absolute favorite! 🧸 He’s up to date on vaccines and neutered, ready to roll (or scoot!) right into your heart. 🥹 Tux is truly one of a kind — a happy, loving boy who just needs someone special to see past his differences and give him the forever home he’s been dreaming of. 🌟 Thank you for watching and for always supporting our rescue mission. Every like, share, and kind word helps animals like Tux get one step closer to finding their happily ever after. 🥰 Application to adopt: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/STRR/Dog #AdoptDontShop #RescueLove #ForeverHome #AdoptTux #SpecialNeedsDog #Handicapable #PetRescue
