You won't find a more handsome, intelligent or silly boy than Sidney. He is about 4 years old and weighs 84 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system) He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney, email anncox.newemail@aol.com for an application

Fiji had an ok appointment with the ophthalmologist recently at Veterinary Ophthalmology Service where we did learn that he does not have glaucoma - good news - so no eye removal needed, but we also did learn that he does have some scratching on his cornea (which may get better with time and meds), and he has a retinal disease that does make it so he currently can see some with light, but his site will continue to diminish over time until he eventually will probably be fully blind. BUT. Dogs are soooo good at adapting so if we find this little man a home while he still has site, it will make it so much easier when that site goes. Fiji is pretty easy at his fosters home and does great with their large breed dog and high school age daughter and is cute as a button! If you like to take pics of dogs then Fiji is here for it! Chandler is a young Lab mix puppy who we pulled from the shelter because he had a wound on both his face and his leg that we thought may need surgical intervention. Thankfully both the vet and the surgeons at the hospital do not think that is the case and Chandler is now about all healed and we think ready to go! His foster has been working on potty training and crate training with Chandler him and though he doesn't seem to be a big fan of the crate and does vocalize quite a bit when in it, we have worked with a dog counselor on what we think is his separation anxiety and his foster is continuing the recommendations from him on how to work with Chandler. Because of his vocalization we do not think he would do great currently in an apartment setting. He seems to do great with his foster dog siblings so we think he could be good with other dogs and he def is the sweetest little guy! His foster says that he is the most chill puppy and he is SO SMART and picks up on training very quickly! He also could be a great family dog as long as kids understand that he is a puppy but his foster is working on his mouthiness as well. He truly is a great boy!!!October 15, 2026, 12:03 pm

Agnes is an incredibly sweet girl who loves to show you her stuffies she likes to carry around in her mouth-its adorable!!! She seems ok with dogs selectively but is leash reactive but shows interest in play if met off leash and done appropriately. But also loves to just be around people! She does seem to have an issue with larger white dogs that have a certain look (she had one be aggressive with her) but a conversation would be had about that. Other than that she seems to like most dogs if introduced properly which we do at any meet & greet that may happen! She went on a breakout over the holidays this past year and road tripped to Florida and did amazing!!! She also seems to have developed a dislike of kitties so no cats in the home sadly. And older children would probably be best. Agnes did have a decent sized tumor on her front leg we had checked out and unfortunately it was cancerous and removed and they did not get good margins on it but we have seen and consulted with both an oncologist and a radiation oncologist and all of us are in agreement that with the fact that there has not been a reoccurrence since removal in October of 2025 she is doing good and the regrowth rate is less than 30% with a chance of spread at less than 20% that we will not be pursuing treatment with her. She will be headed to checkups every 3-4 months for x-rays for a bit and Bonaparte's would cover the cost of that as well as any medical costs associated with anything needed to be pursued in the future associated with the leg if it were to come back. She was also Heartworm positive when we pulled her and has gone through the rigorous HW treatment so yay for that! We dont want any of this to scare anyone because Agnes truly is a dream in a home and really just the bestest girl and anyone would be so lucky to have her!!!October 15, 2026, 12:03 pm

Nessie is an incredibly sweet and gentle, blind, very senior approximately 93 lb Lab who is entirely made up of love and light! She LOVES a good snuggle whether that is with a human or another dog (or two) and LOVES to be in bed with you and be your best bud. Truly this senior girl is PERFECTION! If you want a bit giant floof to be your BFF and cheer you up at the end of the day this girl is IT! Her fosters have been working on slimming her down because we like those seniors to be a little more lean and she is already down 2 lbs so a new adopter would need to be committed to that process as well!October 15, 2026, 12:03 pm
