Captain is a playful and loving dog! He loves to swim, play, snuggle, give kisses, and be near his humans. He is better suited being an only dog, as he is very competitive and toy aggressive with other dogs (NOT HUMANS!)

Story
This handsome 4.5 month old puppster is called Boy George and he is what you would call….a character.  A Border Collie mix puppy who is smart and mischievous and a leader in life.  He was born in a litter of 8 puppies around the middle of October and he was the biggest kid in the bunch. He is laidback yet very much an involved pup when it comes to creating dog events that are fun and inquisitive.  He is one that doesn’t back down because he knows that he can win the challenge with his tenacity.  Boy George has conquered all the obligations in his life to learn about housebreaking, crate time and how to walk on a leash with at least a B- rating.  Practice will make perfect when in a family that has more one on one time for him.  He is going to be a 55 pound boy once he is grown.  His Mom is Blue Eyed Kaye and she is a wonderful girl with a happy demeanor and has certainly passed it along to all her sweet offspring.  Boy George is a good pup but he is looking for an even smarter owner that will figure him out before he slips one in on you. He is loving and can be an attention grabber because when you are raised in a pack of 8 siblings, you kind of crave some private time for yourself.  Boy George will be a fun pup to raise and one that will excel at puppy training classes.  At 18 weeks of age and 32 pounds, he is a great size to take on car rides, walks on a trail or  your local neighborhood.  He will welcome new dogs and people to meet and did we mention that he LOVES CATS!   To our Boy George they are just another friend in life!   We will require a home with a securely fenced yard so that this boy can explore and hang out in the great outdoors/backyard.  He is not a digger and he is not a fence climber.  But he is a dog that requires the stimulation both physically and mentally every day.  Teach him things and he will make you a proud dog owner. Someone is looking for a dog like this.  Maybe an only dog in the home or just a great addition because he will be play buddies with anyone.  But always know that you must be the leader of your pack and Boy George.  He craves the boundaries and rules.  He thrives best not having his way and is so moldable.  If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Mention where you live, city and state.  Transport is available to the northeast outside of Tennessee where he is being fostered PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption. Story
G Man is really what we call "extra needs". As our vet said when G was examined "what a trainwreck". Upon intake, G Man had no fur on his legs and they were covered in sores. He also was having rectal prolapses frequently, not to mention some stinky breath and skin. With some awesome vet care, medicated baths, oral meds and surgery, he has morphed into quite the handsome and quirky guy that he is today. G does require daily meds for his skin (about $35 per month ) and weekly baths with a medicated shampoo. He does experience bouts of constipation but he has meds for that also. G Man is tolerant of other dogs his size, but is terrified of puppies and larger dogs. He is most comfortable sitting/sleeping beside or on top of his human. His whole world will revolve around his person and when he lays his head against your chest and at you with his eyes, you know that you are deeply loved by him! Story
This beautiful girl is called Kenzie and she is a Border Collie mix  from what we can tell due to her size, temperament and the very silky soft fur that adorns her.  This girl is about 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds and is such a spunky and active girl that is happy, charming, and ready for any adventure that you want to ask her to join you in.  Her story is not uncommon in the south, but it definitely was one of  neglect.   Our girl Kenzie is a survivor and a brilliant puppy. Her persona is one of vibrance in life and resilience, topped with confidence.  She adores other dogs, young children and never meets an adult stranger.  She has beautiful eyes that are the color of blue in one and brown in the other.  Her charming personality is bold, happy and full of smiles and energy.  She embraces life with the full expectancy that she will give good love to others and good love will come back to her. And that is what we have promised her at Critter Cavalry Rescue. We will not settle for anything but the best. Our hope is that she will have a home filled with laughter and activities thar also include a home with a fenced yard, and long walks or jogs, along with excursions in the car that the best of great outdoor events. She brings great karma to all who meet her.   If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained and undeniable beauty, then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. She is located in Nashville, TN and able to transport on a weekend to the northeast to a new family. Story
Hunter is a gentle 60-pound Pitbull mix with a heart of gold. This strong boy, about a year old, was found running loose on the back roads of Tennessee, but despite his tough start, he's in great shape with a silky black coat. While no one has come forward to claim him, Hunter is patiently waiting for a loving family to call his own! Hunter enjoys his daily walks and is working on not pulling on the leash. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 He’s curious, playful, and loves other dogs! He’s been sharing a pen with a Boxer, though we feed him separately to avoid any food aggression. Hunter does the cutest little dance when it’s time for his meals or walks—it’s sure to put a smile on your face! While he hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, Hunter did have a run-in with a neighbor’s chicken , so he might be best suited to a home without small livestock. Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Hunter find their forever homes. Story
My name is Good Time Charlie and I have had a pretty interesting past year while I’ve been looking for a new home and a restart to my life.  I was found running for months through a rural neighborhood where people reported me coming into their yard and property looking for food.  Finally when the really terrible cold set in, I was found shivering in a flower bed huddled under a bush trying avoid the snow.  You see I am a 5-6 year old short haired Hound mix and I weigh 50 pounds now.  I used to be starving and very scared.  Now I am looking for a  home with a quiet family of mature people and not a lot of people coming and going all the time.  I just need an easy going place that I can hang out with some people that I love.  I am housebroken, kennel trained and I don’t tear things up when I am home alone.  I do have a little anxiety when you first leave but I settle down.  I get along with other dogs and even cats but when I first find a home I will need some slow introductions and time to get to know everyone.  I would love a couple who are maybe retired and ready to kick back and have me as good fulltime company.  Would you make my dream come true and give me your heart and home to prove how special I can make your life?  I am not a barker either like most Hounds and I do give my heart soul when I know you love me too.  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask about me.  They are happy to talk with you.
