Story
Up for adoption in Texas: Miss Reba. Reba is a sweet, senior lady with a heart full of love and a calm, gentle spirit. At 9 or 10 years young and weighing in at 45 lbs, she’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a mellow, well-mannered dog who enjoys the simple pleasures in life. Reba is visually impaired, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying life. She gets around just fine once she’s familiar with her surroundings and relies on her other senses to guide her with confidence. She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys her twice-daily strolls, taking in the world at a peaceful pace. Car rides are another favorite—she’s a relaxed and content passenger who’s happy just being near her people. She loves trips to the pet store to check out all the new smells! Reba would thrive in a home where she is the only dog. She prefers a quiet environment where she doesn’t have to share attention and can truly relax. This sweet girl is well-mannered, easy to care for, and appreciates cozy naps. She may not see clearly, but she’ll feel the love in your home—and give it back tenfold. Reba is ready to spend her golden years with someone who will cherish her just as she is. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, Reba may be the perfect match! Please apply at luckylabrescue.com Reba is vaccinated, crate trained, house trained, spayed, and microchipped.

Story
Well, Hello There!! I'm Luna! I'm two years old and weigh approximately 73 pounds. I can come live with you in Texas or New England. My favorite activity is spending time with my foster mom on the back patio and in the backyard. She says I'm great at going for walks, and I enjoy car rides. I'm so smart, I know how to sit on command and am kennel trained. I love other dogs, both big ones and those tiny ones! I like cats, too, though my foster mom says I can be a bit overwhelming to the cat when I get excited to say hello. I would cherish a home where I can receive lots of love, be an active participant in my family's life, and have the freedom to grow my sweet disposition. She sits and stays on command. I'm spayed (whatever that means), vaccinated (that's a funny word), house-broken (I swear, I didn't break anything in the house), and microchipped (that sounds like a sci-fi movie). Story
Meet Velvet 💕 Velvet is a big, beautiful black Lab mix with a heart the size of Texas. She's up for adoption in the Lone Star State. This loving girl is estimated to be around 3–4 years old, and while we don’t know much about her life before coming to Lucky Lab, it’s clear she’s been through a lot. When she arrived, Velvet had recently had a litter of puppies and showed signs of having had a rough start. Thanks to excellent care and plenty of love, she's healed, and her puppy days are over. She is now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Now Velvet is ready for her forever home. Velvet currently lives with an active foster family that includes two teenage boys and three other female dogs, and she thrives as part of the pack. She loves being with her people and has two favorite pastimes: snuggling and adventuring. Couch snuggles, bed snuggles, side-by-side snuggles—Velvet is all in. She’s the kind of dog who presses her whole body against you and soaks up every bit of affection. If a dog on the couch or bed isn’t your thing, Velvet probably isn’t your match—but if you’re looking for a true cuddle companion, she’s your girl. She also enjoys getting outside and is a superb walking and hiking partner. Velvet walks beautifully on a leash, loves being active with her family, and is always up for an outing. She adores swimming too—while she may not retrieve, she happily swims alongside another dog who does, just enjoying the water and the company. When Velvet first came to Lucky Lab, car rides were scary for her. She would try to hide rather than get in. With time, patience, and lots of positive experiences, she’s made huge progress. She’s still a bit hesitant about getting into the car, but once she’s in, she’s an excellent traveler—curling up and sleeping for most of the ride. She’s even become a camping enthusiast with her foster family. Velvet is kennel trained and does very well staying crated when her family is away, making her an easy and trustworthy companion in the home. When Velvet meets new people, she is gentle and kind, though a bit shy at first. She’ll accept pets politely but may seem reserved until she feels safe. With her own family, her true personality shines—confident, affectionate, and deeply devoted. Velvet is looking for an adopter who will be patient as they introduce her to new people and new situations. In return, Velvet offers unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a whole lot of love. She’s ready to spend the rest of her life being cherished—and she can’t wait to find the family who will do just that. 🖤 Apply for this beauty at http://www.luckylabrescue.com

Story
This is Skyla, a 3-year-old Great Dane. She was living in a home with 2 other Great Danes. Owner let her get pregnant and she had puppies, and since then she does not get along with the other female Dane in the house, so the owners decided to rehome Skyla. Skyla is house-trained, current on vaccinations and now spayed. She is good with people and children. She loves going for walks and car ride. She understands “wait”, “no”, “food”, “treat”, “sit”, and sometimes “stay”. She loves being with her “humans” and, like a typical Dane, enjoys her naps. Skyla needs to be the only dog in the house. If interested in giving Skyla a new home, please go to our website and fill out the adoption application. www.pawsofaustin.org

Story
This is Boone. He is a 9 years old fawn Great Dane. His owner is an elderly person and she can no longer take care of Boone, so she reached out to us asking for help to find Boone a new home. Boone is a senior dog, but he is in excellent health, still believes he's a puppy. He has a sweet personality. He gets along with the other dog in the house, but probably prefer being an only dog. He's never displayed any aggression. He's housebroken and good on a leash and he loves going on walks. If you would like to give this sweet giant boy a new home, please go to our website and fill out the adoption application.

Story
This is a Courtesy post. Hugh is a stunning 3-year-old, 120lb neutered male merle Great Dane who turns heads everywhere he goes. He was found as a stray in San Antonio and he was taken to the shelter. He had Demodex mange, so he was put on the euthanasia list. Luckily PPip's Rescue Pack Foster Grouppulled him out of the shelter and he was provided the vet care he needed. Huge was adopted to a family out of state, but unfortunately it did not work out and Huge is now back at his foster home in Pflugerville. Huge is a happy playful goof ball who loves to explore, romp around, and be near his people. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys playing with other pups. There are no issues in his current foster home, but we became aware that Huge can get stressed around people he does not know, mostly men. His lack of trust of men is probably due something that happened to him in the past. It’s obvious that Hugh has been through a lot. His behavior and physical condition are consistent with a history of neglect, and possibly abuse. When going to a new place, he needs time to decompress and feel secure in his environment. Once he gets settled, you get to see the happy, goofy, playful loving dog that he is. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and endlessly entertaining companion, Hugh is your guy. He’s a gentle giant with a huge heart, ready to soak up love and return it tenfold. Link to adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PRP/Dog
