Story
Up for adoption in Texas: Puppy Ivy. She is the yellow puppy in the pictures. She is eight weeks old and weighs 12 pounds. She's independent, spunky, and feisty, but can also be loving with her foster parents. She's vocal and specializes in tearing up puppy pads. She likes her teddy, her chew bones, and chewing on her brother Nick. Ivy would likely do really well with another dog in the home and people who are home quite often at this young age. She is microchipped and will be getting her second round of vaccinations soon, and then she can go to her forever home. Apply now for this spirited puppy at www.luckylabrescue.com

Story
Available for adoption in Texas: Collins! At just one year old and about 60 pounds, Collins is the perfect blend of youthful energy and snuggles. Collins firmly believes the best seat in the house is whichever one is closest to you. Preferably touching you. Just to be safe. This beautiful girl with the biggest, most soulful eyes bonds deeply with her humans. Once you’re in her circle, you’re in for life. She follows her foster like a devoted little shadow and is convinced that every task is better when done as a team. Cooking dinner? Together. Folding laundry? Together. Sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing? Especially together. In Collins’ world, personal space is more of a suggestion. She can be shy when meeting new people and appreciates slow, gentle introductions. But once she feels safe, she melts. Truly melts. She’ll lean into you like she’s been yours forever. Collins takes her role as “loyal sidekick” very seriously. Batman had Robin. You’ll have Collins. She is currently building confidence during life’s solo moments, like when her people leave the house. Because she bonds so deeply, being alone hasn’t always been her favorite thing. The good news? She’s making wonderful progress with structure, consistency, and medication support. We’re already seeing her grow braver. She will need a patient, understanding home, committed to continuing that journey and cheering her on. Collins would thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not and where she has a confident canine sibling. Another dog isn’t just a bonus for her; it’s truly important. She gains comfort and confidence from having a dog friend to follow and learn from. She loves other dogs and does well with cats, too! And if she wasn’t cute enough already, Collins knows some Spanish! Bilingual queen energy. She’s looking for a calm, stable home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. In return, you’ll get unwavering devotion, endless snuggles, and a best friend who thinks you are the greatest thing that has ever happened. Collins is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped, and officially ready to start her next chapter with her forever family. If you’ve been searching for a loyal little shadow with soulful eyes and an even bigger heart, Collins is waiting! 🤍 Apply to adopt at www.luckylabrescue.com

Story
Up for adoption in Texas: Miss Reba. Reba is a sweet, senior lady with a heart full of love and a calm, gentle spirit. At 9 or 10 years young and weighing in at 45 lbs, she’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a mellow, well-mannered dog who enjoys the simple pleasures in life. Reba is visually impaired, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying life. She gets around just fine once she’s familiar with her surroundings and relies on her other senses to guide her with confidence. She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys her twice-daily strolls, taking in the world at a peaceful pace. Car rides are another favorite—she’s a relaxed and content passenger who’s happy just being near her people. She loves trips to the pet store to check out all the new smells! Reba would thrive in a home where she is the only dog. She prefers a quiet environment where she doesn’t have to share attention and can truly relax. This sweet girl is well-mannered, easy to care for, and appreciates cozy naps. She may not see clearly, but she’ll feel the love in your home—and give it back tenfold. Reba is ready to spend her golden years with someone who will cherish her just as she is. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion, Reba may be the perfect match! Please apply at luckylabrescue.com Reba is vaccinated, crate trained, house trained, spayed, and microchipped.

Story
Well, Hello There!! I'm Luna! I'm two years old and weigh approximately 73 pounds. I can come live with you in Texas or New England. My favorite activity is spending time with my foster mom on the back patio and in the backyard. She says I'm great at going for walks, and I enjoy car rides. I'm so smart, I know how to sit on command and am kennel trained. I love other dogs, both big ones and those tiny ones! I like cats, too, though my foster mom says I can be a bit overwhelming to the cat when I get excited to say hello. I would cherish a home where I can receive lots of love, be an active participant in my family's life, and have the freedom to grow my sweet disposition. She sits and stays on command. I'm spayed (whatever that means), vaccinated (that's a funny word), house-broken (I swear, I didn't break anything in the house), and microchipped (that sounds like a sci-fi movie). Story
Meet Velvet 💕 Velvet is a big, beautiful black Lab mix with a heart the size of Texas. She's up for adoption in the Lone Star State. This loving girl is estimated to be around 3–4 years old, and while we don’t know much about her life before coming to Lucky Lab, it’s clear she’s been through a lot. When she arrived, Velvet had recently had a litter of puppies and showed signs of having had a rough start. Thanks to excellent care and plenty of love, she's healed, and her puppy days are over. She is now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Now Velvet is ready for her forever home. Velvet currently lives with an active foster family that includes two teenage boys and three other female dogs, and she thrives as part of the pack. She loves being with her people and has two favorite pastimes: snuggling and adventuring. Couch snuggles, bed snuggles, side-by-side snuggles—Velvet is all in. She’s the kind of dog who presses her whole body against you and soaks up every bit of affection. If a dog on the couch or bed isn’t your thing, Velvet probably isn’t your match—but if you’re looking for a true cuddle companion, she’s your girl. She also enjoys getting outside and is a superb walking and hiking partner. Velvet walks beautifully on a leash, loves being active with her family, and is always up for an outing. She adores swimming too—while she may not retrieve, she happily swims alongside another dog who does, just enjoying the water and the company. When Velvet first came to Lucky Lab, car rides were scary for her. She would try to hide rather than get in. With time, patience, and lots of positive experiences, she’s made huge progress. She’s still a bit hesitant about getting into the car, but once she’s in, she’s an excellent traveler—curling up and sleeping for most of the ride. She’s even become a camping enthusiast with her foster family. Velvet is kennel trained and does very well staying crated when her family is away, making her an easy and trustworthy companion in the home. When Velvet meets new people, she is gentle and kind, though a bit shy at first. She’ll accept pets politely but may seem reserved until she feels safe. With her own family, her true personality shines—confident, affectionate, and deeply devoted. Velvet is looking for an adopter who will be patient as they introduce her to new people and new situations. In return, Velvet offers unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a whole lot of love. She’s ready to spend the rest of her life being cherished—and she can’t wait to find the family who will do just that. 🖤 Apply for this beauty at http://www.luckylabrescue.com

Story
Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Kodiak. He is about 1-2 years old and weighs around 65 pounds. This handsome hunk wakes up in the morning ready to love life. His favorite things are tussling and playing with his foster sis (dog), cuddling up with her for a nap after, playing with his toys, and getting hugs! He will even tap you with his paw to let you know he is hug-ready. Kodiak sleeps through the night in his crate, is potty trained, and is excellent at 'sit' for treats, cuddles, or putting on his leash. He is still working on his leash manners (he gets so darn excited), but does well with a front-clip harness. Kodiak is excellent in the car, especially on longer car trips where he zens right out. He REALLY loves toys, but has learned what toys are and what are not (just needs to be shown what's what), and even what's inside and what's outside toys (no sticks in the house). He is a gentle, goofy, giant with a heart of gold. He loves to play and snuggle with other dogs and humans and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He is neither food nor toy aggressive. He'd like to say on his own behalf, "Gosh! I love you already!" Kodiak is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Apply for this gem of a dog at http://www.luckylabrescue.com
