Story
BARKLEY is a real sweetheart. He is a delightful Texas Blend, maybe with a small Lab mix. His two siblings and himself came to us as puppies but they both are long adopted. Somehow, Barkley got overlooked and is now past the “cute and small puppy” stage. However, he still loves to play with other puppies and run around with toys in his mouth. His home is on the ranchette with several other dog friends; a home with a dog buddy would be best to show him doggie ways and to model joy/things to be excited about – like walks are fun and for sniffing and show him how to do things . He is super smart, listens well, and loves to cuddle on you. He is food and treat motivated, so will be easily trainable; he will need weighted bowl so that he can eat in a way that is he comfortable/familiar with. He likes having a crate/den area easily accessible so he could feel secure. He will need housetraining reinforcement. It is Barkley’s turn to get out of foster care. He really belongs in a loving home, with his forever family. Can you have it in your heart to give him one soon please? Barkley spent a month of training at Bobbi Colorado’s Canine Camp. Currently, he is undergoing a month-long refresher course. We all know that this kind of training does not come cheap. We invested in this training, as we do not wish for him to grow up in a "shelter" environment forever. If you are an active family who loves walks, runs, or just the outdoors, Barkley is the one for you all. Go to our website for more pictures of Barkley. We require a home in the Austin metro area with a privacy fenced yard, and children over 8. Barkley’s adoption fee of $250.00 covers his vet exam, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal test, dewormer, heart worm preventative, neuter procedure, and microchip.

Story
Cooper is a 4-month-old Blue Heeler mix with a zest for life and an incredibly gentle heart. Cooper is smart, affectionate, and already potty and pad trained. He’s currently working on his leash manners and learning quickly, showing just how eager he is to bond and please his people. Cooper is dog-friendly and cat-appropriate, enjoying playtime with canine pals while respectfully ignoring feline ones. He especially loves splashing in the kiddie pool and watching squirrels on TV – simple joys that show off his playful, curious nature. He’s the kind of pup who brings a spark of happiness to everything he does, and he’s ready to share that spark with a family who’ll love him as much as he’ll love them. Cooper’s brother, Bennet, is also available for adoption, and the two share a wonderful bond. You can adopt Cooper on his own or open your heart and home to both brothers for double the fun and twice the love. Either way, Cooper is sure to brighten your life every single day. Austin, TX area adoptions only. Children over 5 years due to sharp puppy teeth. Fenced yard. Adoption fee of $350 for vet exam, vaccinations, heartworm preventatives, dewormer, fecal test, rabies/tick tests, neuter and microchip.

Story
I originally came to TXHH with a few of my siblings, but I`m officially the last one left. Partially why I`ve been in the shelter for so long is because the team found out we had ringworm and that takes a while to treat, but have no fear because I was cleared from that a long time ago. Now I`m just a bigger puppy competing for attention. Some fun facts about me is that I`m playful, I love to go swimming, do well in doggy play groups, love toys, enjoy treats, am fully vaccinated, and have decent leash skills. Will you give me a chance to potentially join your family? Stop by during business hours and a staff member will let you take me on a walk or play in a yard together!

Story
Hi there, I’m Airy! I’m the branch manager here (many branches and sticks to be managed, trust me.) I’ve got energy for days and can keep up with the best of them! I love going for walks, playing fetch, tasty treats, parkour, and getting attention (and scritches.) Despite my big personality, I have a little bit of social anxiety so if you’ve got another dog, I’d like to meet them before you take me home! I recently got to spend some time at doggy daycare and did well so I think I’ve opened up more but I’m taking it one day at a time! So come see me, I’m eager to meet my forever family!
