Story
Frankie is a good boy with some special needs. Because of past trauma and abuse, he prefers a woman only home with no kids or pets. He is currenlty workingthrough fear reactivity and touch sensitivity. With the right home and patience, we know Frankie can thrive!October 14, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
Ellie (short for Eleven) is the silliest goofball with the sweetest smile. Ellie is literally the perfect family dog but has sadly been overlooked due to her size and color. Her previous owners were going to euthanize her, but our rescue felt that she deserved a chance so we stepped in.    Ellie has been waiting to be adopted since September 2023 and she has never received an application. She has been a fantastic, easy houseguest in each of her foster homes and everyone quickly falls in love with her fun personality.    She is fully house trained and nondestructive in home. She is SUPER dog friendly and currently lives with 3 other dogs. She lived with kids and was so gentle and loving.   As a medium energy dog, she is an awesome exercise buddy and loves to go on walks or runs, but she also loves to chill with you on the couch watching a movie. She is often seen snuggling her favorite stuffed animal toys.    Ellie deserves to finally find the forever family of her dreams!    Ellie is currently fostered in Austin TX but transportation is available to adopters anywhere in the USA.       October 14, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
Mama Autumn was a stray who had her babies under a car in a work site. She snuck in looking for a safe place to have her family. Thankfully, a foster took them in and they’re all healthy and finding their own personalities more as each day passes. Now mom needs a break from the family life and wants to retire in a home of her own!October 14, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
Meet handsome Milo! He was dumped at an apartment complex in Houston, Texas. Neighbors fed him for about a week before a Good Samaritan saw him and caught him. He was very malnourished and had dermatitis. After about 6 months with his foster, he’s now healthy and ready to find a forever home! He’s kennel trained, house trained, good on a leash, and good with dogs. He’s super unique looking with his stunning black head and brindle legs. He is about 78 pounds and we believe he is a mountain cur mix.October 14, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
Poor Daisy was dumped across the street from her foster moms’ house on Easter Sunday. They watched the car drive away with her chasing behind, but she gave up pretty quickly and started sniffing around to try to figure out where she was. Daisy’s panic was cut short when her foster moms scooped her up and took her to their home.  She was skin and bones, all ribs, hips, and vertebra plainly visible, with scabs and sores all over. She tested positive for heartworm and hookworm. Her foster moms are working closely with their vet to get her healthy for her forever home.  Daisy is a big girl - at 50 lbs emaciated, she’ll likely be 70-80 once she’s filled out. She is estimated to be 4-5 years old.  She quickly fell in love with her foster moms and wants to be as close to them as possible at all times. She’s working on the concept of “personal space” but hasn’t quite grasped it yet.  She gets along well with the resident cats but needs to be leashed around the outside animals (chickens, goats, horses, etc).  She can be dog reactive so needs a home without other dogs and to be walked in areas with low dog traffic.  Because she was starved, she does have some resource guarding issues with food and currently needs to be fed in a crate. She walks amazingly on a loose leash.  She house trained and is working on crate training.  She has not yet been tested with children but with proper introduction, her foster moms expect she would be fine, though she might knock them over trying to get pets. As underweight as she is, she’s still pretty strong!  Daisy loves tug of war and is learning about every other way she can have fun. We’ll continue to update her bio as we get to know her better.  October 14, 2024, 3:59 pm
