Story
This lil lady, just a 42 lb lab mix, is looking for her forever home. Check her out in this adorable video & also learn more about her backstory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD8b_vcHqDA Roux is sweet and cuddly, but she enjoys being independent, too. She is the best of both worlds - still young and playful, but she can't say no to a good nap and just hanging out at home. Roux can be a little shy when she first meets new people, but she warms up quickly with treats. Roux is house trained. She is smart and picks up new things quickly so routines have been easy to establish with her! Roux can't live with cats and has made some dog friends, but would do great as an only dog, too! Due to her shyness an adult-only home or a family where the kiddos are at least 12 would be ideal. Roux would probably do best in a house versus an apartment. Please reach out with any questions!

Story
Winnie is a 4.5 yr old cattle dog mix who has had excellent training with Christina Donahoe at K9 Inclined Dog Training!! Christina has wonderful things to say about Winnie and provides training sessions in person or virtually to the family that adopts Winnie so they are set for success. Winnie is house and crate trained. She has good manners in the house. Will only bark a bit at noises and people coming to the door, but settles down quickly. Sleeps at night on her dog bed or in her crate (door left open) Prefers to be an only dog Can be cat friendly, but needs to have an owner that sets clear boundaries for her Around the cat. Moderate activity level. Loves to go on her walks, and will entertain herself by tossing her toys around. Walks well on leash. Rides ok in the car but it's not her favorite. commands known: sit, down, off, quiet, "let's go" (her version of heel), come, no Treat motivated (all treats) You can sometimes trigger zoomies if you blow gently in her face! It's so fun to watch. Her true live is people. Older kids would be fine. She does prefer to be around her humans but will go into another room to nap and occasionally will even go into her crate on her own. Winnie is an incredibly smart dog, who loves to be around her people. She loves to cuddle, but is also fine just napping. Around other dogs, Winnie needs to be on-leash and have her human give her clear guidance. She's made tremendous progress, but like with people, can have a rough day where she takes a step back. Winnie would thrive in a house with a yard and with a person (or preferably a few people) that are willing to take the time to continue building on her training. She's fully vetted, up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative and know prevention.

Story
Isla is a sweet, small, 28 lb, easy, five year old Shepherd chihuahua heeler mix looking for a calm home with a doggie friend. Dog and cat friendly girl, who has lived with both in her foster home. Loves having dog friends, following them around and would be a great companion for another dog. Low to medium energy girl who likes affection, being brushed and treats of all kinds. . Housetrained. Crate trained. Has not been destructive inside or outside. Walks well on leash and enjoys going on walks. Isla prefers to be inside rather than outside. Quiet girl is not a barker at all. Can be a bit nervous at first in the car, but settles in after a bit. A patient adopter to help her feel safe and comfortable to continue to come out of her shell would be best. She really enjoys the company of men. Will make a wonderful companion for empty nesters, a single adopter or anyone looking for an easy girl to talk to and live life together. Isla is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention.

Story
Miss Kota is a dapper dame, bounding with the love (and playfulness!) of a puppy. Kota loves the good things in life - snuggles, toys, and chasing a fat squirrel every now and then. She is committed to her people, taking every opportunity to cuddle up with them and provide ample kisses. As a real people-pleaser, she is receptive to training and commands! When she's not snuggling up on the couch with you, she will grab the squeakiest squeaky toy and start running - when you fire up her laser pointer, then the fun really begins! She isn't a fan of her biweekly brushing, but she is calm and patient every time. Its tough work being the prettiest lady in the neighborhood! Kota has been with TKRR since March 2023. She has been surrendered to Austin Animal Center twice, most recently from her family who were unable to give her the engagement she needed. She would make an excellent friend in a single-dog household. Kota has a few reactivity issues on-leash, but was very quick to pick up on muzzle training. She's been excellent when her foster family leaves her alone for a few hours, when she's crated, and telling her people when she needs to potty (accident free!) If you have questions about Miss Kota, feel free to contact us! She's an absolute sweetie that's been through the wringer and can't wait for her forever home!

Story
Hi 👋🏼 I’m looking to rehome this blue heeler, Dude! Dude moved from Chicago to Texas a couple months ago and absolutely loves it here ♥️ he is about 5 years old, 30 pounds, neutered, vaccinated through 2024 and chipped. This quirky little snuggler does really well with other dogs and positive reinforcement and the tiniest bit of affection makes him so happy. He would do well with an active family & space to run, comes when called, and could play fetch all day. I would love to take him but I’m moving 9/1 and there’s a pet max on my new house and we already have two heelers. He’s great with other dogs and big kids but not sure about cats and tiny humans. Please consider opening your heart and home to this love bug, you won’t regret it! Message me to meet him 🥰🥰🥰 — in Austin.

Story
I bought her from the shelter when she was 1 years old and I noticed that she has seperation anxiety but eventually she grew out of it. I bought another dog from the same shelter and they got along instantly. She had a little attitude because she wanted all the attention but eventually she caved in and now she has a best friend. She loves to be loved on; she wants all the attention. And she is sporty she loves to play and run. She needs someone who will take the time to treat her and make sure her health is up to part. She is also a big cuddle buddy u let her in the bed and she will cuddle with you. I am Willing to discuss pricing.
