Story

Sadie is a 9 year old (June 5, 2017) longhair purebred chihuahua. She weighs 6 lbs. I bought her as a puppy. She started out fine but then I adopted a Cocker Spaniel rescue who is one year older than Sadie. She has been snarky with Patsy and it has now gotten to the point that I cannot take it anymore. She has never bitten anyone and is not aggressive with people. She has just decided that she does not want Patsy anywhere near me. Patsy is a very sweet dog and is very easy going but sometimes when she has had enough of Sadie's growling and snarking at her she will respond. I am a 78 year old woman and I cannot tell you how many times my arms have been ripped open when these two get into it on my lap. They are always sitting with me on my recliner. A few months ago Sadie was diagnosed with a torn ACL. I have been keeping a brace on it as I could not afford the $2600 surgery. It seems to be helping. I love Sadie and this breaks my heart.

Piper is a loving and energetic Golden-doodle/Lab mix. She turned 2 years old in January and loves other dogs and kids. She has been around kids as young as 3 years old and did well with them. She loves to run around and explore and dig. She would do well on a farm or with a large fenced in backyard. Unfortunately, I am moving and wont be able to take her with me. She has been a great companion. She is house trained and crate trained. She does require frequent brushing, but she does well with that.

Mali is a sweet, affectionate girl who’s never met a stranger. She adores people, loves other dogs and cats, and will happily greet anyone with a big smile and an even bigger tail wag (watch out for coffee tables when that tail gets going!). She’s full of energy and would thrive with someone who has a fenced-in yard or enjoys daily runs/walks. Mali loves to chase a ball, play outside, and then curl up inside with her people. Her only “fault” is that she gets extra excited when meeting new folks — but that enthusiasm settles quickly, and then she’s all love and loyalty. Mali has been with her family for the past five years, after being adopted from Chesterfield Pound. Due to a recent move to a home without a fenced yard, she’s looking for her next chapter with someone who can give her the space and activity she loves.

Hi everyone, meet Apollo! Apollo is the definition of a gentle giant. He is always happy. He is a super lovey, super cuddly boy. He loves playing with our two cats and the neighborhood dogs that come to visit. He plays beautifully with our 8 and 9 year old and all of their friends that come to play. Apollo knows "sit" and "shake". We were told he is primarily Pyrenees with the possibility of some Newfie. Like all Great Pyrenees, he can be loud and an escape artist. He rarely barks while inside, only when their is a strange animal directly at the door. An electric fence will not work for him. This is a dog that either needs land or a fenced in yard. Unfortunately we have neither and did not know this when we got him. After several attempts to make electric fences work, it is just not happening. This is one of the main reasons we need to find him a new home. Between the wandering and us being out of the house for 12 hours a day, we know that he is not living his best life.

She just gets so excited and may knock smaller children over. Cassie has everything! Smart & beautiful! Now she just needs her forever family and home.

Lolita does well on a leash but can be reactive to other dogs, she is crate trained and housebroken! Lolita is also starved for attention! and just wants to be loved on and to be with her forever family!
