Story
Moses arrived as a stray. At first officers weren't sure of his temperament. Moses wasn't as friendly as the other shelter cats. They soon realized his reaction was due to fear of his situation rather than unfriendliness. At one time, just picking him up scared him so much he released his bladder. Now though, we love watching to see what new toy he'll fall in love with. He plays like a puppy with balls! Thank you for your interest in adopting! If you think the animal in this profile might be a good fit for your home and would like to meet them, here's how! !. Go to our website at wacshelter.com. 2. Click on the Apply To Adopt button to submit an online adoption application. NOTE: You will get an email confirmation that we have received your application. If you do not see this email appear upon submission, please check your "spam" folder. 3. Your application will be processed and a volunteer will call or email with any questions. NOTE: If any questions are left unanswered or incomplete, the application cannot be processed. A completely filled out application will take 1-3 days to process! 4. We will set up a time with you to meet the animal you've applied to adopt! ** We DO give preference to applicants with verifiable pet experience. All cats are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV negative unless otherwise indicated. All are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. All of our resident cats use their litter boxes unless otherwise indicated. Cats are naturally inclined to use a litter box. Cat Fact: If a domestic cat is not using a litter box THEY ARE TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING IS WRONG! It should never be ignored! Your cat is depending on you for help. Our adoption fee for felines is $65. That covers the cost of spay/neuter, FeLV/FIV test and vaccinations (if applicable). We look forward to meeting you! Story
Astrid was left behind in an apartment hallway. She and another cat were both very thin, Astrid with an autoimmune response, she was trying her best to soothe a huge wound on her side. After a few rounds of injections, she's doing a lot better now. Her veterinarian estimates her age somewhere between 2-4 years. She's a quiet cat who would do best with a family like her. Story
Hildegard was discovered as a blind and deaf homeless cat fending for herself. Her fur was matted and her nails were growing back into her paw pads. Fleas were crawling on her and making her miserable. Despite all of that, she is a gentle and loving cat who makes "biscuits" when she gets attention from her human friends. Hildy is around 10-12 years old and looking for a quiet home able to give her a safe place to spend her Act 2. :) Thank you for your interest in adopting! Story
Hi I'm Twice a longhair super fluffy boy. I was part of a feral cat colony and when doing TNR(trap, neuter, release), I was found to be sweet and tameable. I was fixed by the caretaker then taken in by SOLAR. I'm looking for my forever home now and would love to find a nice lap to cuddle on. I come fixed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, fiv/felv tested negative, and up to date on flea preventative.
