Story
Meet Queso, a gorgeous Domestic Long Hair with a silky black coat kissed with warm brown highlights. This spayed, vaccinated lady is fully litter box trained and ready to settle into her forever home. Queso is the perfect mix of spunky and sweet—she has a playful spark, but she’s also deeply affectionate. She adores gentle brushing, happily curls up for cuddle sessions, and is a champion biscuit-maker when she’s feeling cozy. Queso does well with other cats and would thrive in a home that enjoys quiet bonding moments and lots of love. Her experience with dogs and kids is unknown, but with her calm, cuddly nature, she may adjust well with proper introductions. If you’re looking for a fluffy companion who will steal your heart (and your lap), Queso might be your girl

Story
Meet Westley! Westley is one of four special kittens who have been working their way toward confidence with patience and care. He and his brothers arrived at the shelter very unsocial, fearful, and intolerant of handling. After weeks of consistent work from shelter staff, the boys showed encouraging improvement and were able to continue their progress in a foster home.Westley spent additional time with a foster who specializes in kitten socialization, where his personality has begun to shine. He is more confident than his brother Inigo Montoya and often leads by example through play and exploration. While he is comfortable being out and engaged, Westley will still flee if movements are too quick or unexpected, especially when he isn’t prepared for interaction. He does best with calm, predictable handling and will need patient adopters, a home without small children, and continued gentle exposure to help him keep building trust.Westley enjoys human company on his terms and will often stay close to people, especially during quiet moments. He tolerates brief touching and shows curiosity and engagement, but sudden motions can still overwhelm him. His ability to model calm, exploratory behavior has been especially helpful to his siblings, making him an important confidence-builder within the group.Westley shares a close bond with Inigo Montoya, with Westley’s higher confidence helping Inigo feel more secure and willing to engage. Their complementary personalities and shared play style make their bond beneficial to both kittens, and they would thrive being adopted together. If you enjoy watching trust grow over time and can offer a calm, steady environment, Westley (and Inigo) could be a deeply rewarding addition to your home. With patience and understanding, Westley has all the potential to continue blossoming into a confident companion.

Story
Meet Inigo Montoya! Inigo is one of four special kittens whose journey has required patience, understanding, and time. He and his brothers arrived at the shelter very unsocial, fearful, and intolerant of handling. After weeks of thoughtful, consistent work from our staff, the boys showed encouraging progress and continued their development in a foster home.Inigo Montoya then spent several more weeks with a foster who specializes in kitten socialization. While he remains on the shy and more independent side, his foster has observed meaningful growth. Inigo regularly comes out to interact through play and enjoys observing human activity, though he is still easily startled by loud noises or quick movements and may retreat when feeling unsure. He will need very patient adopters, a calm home without small children, and plenty of time to build trust at his own pace.Inigo Montoya is the most reserved of the group and is still working on becoming comfortable with close human interaction. He prefers to observe, learn, and follow the lead of his siblings rather than initiate contact himself. Though he is not yet seeking affection, he shows steady progress through play and gentle exposure.Inigo Montoya shares an important bond with his brother Westley. Wes` confidence and energy help encourage Inigo to explore and engage, while their sibling play builds his confidence in a way humans alone cannot. Their bond is crucial and deeply beneficial to both boys` continued socialization, and they should be adopted together. If you work from home, enjoy a quiet household, and are open to giving an animal the time and patience he truly needs, Inigo Montoya—along with Westley—could be an incredibly rewarding companion. With consistency and compassion, Inigo has the potential to continue growing into a more confident cat at his own pace!

Story
Meet Nemo, a delightful feline companion who charms everyone at the shelter with his sweet, friendly demeanor. Nemo`s curiosity leads to playful adventures, often accompanied by his goofy antics that bring smiles all around. He enjoys exploring every nook and cranny, yet always finds time for cuddles. Nemo is the perfect blend of playful spirit and loving comfort, making him an ideal companion for any home. His ability to brighten any room makes him more than just a pet; he`s a joyful addition to any family.Nemo has been diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This disease is not curable, but he can still live a very long and healthy life! FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds and is unlikely to be spread through sharing of water bowls or other close contact. Friendly cats who develop stable relationships without fighting are at minimal risk of transmission, so slow introductions are highly recommended!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Whisper is a beautiful black long-haired cat. Recently we found out she absolutely thrives in a calm environment with no other animals in the household. She is very affectionate and will swish around your feet, head bump you and lean into you. She loves pets and may even give you a little kiss, after she decides she trusts you. When she's comfortable she's even been called a velcro cat.  Whisper is a young cat and when she really wants attention, she may give a little nip or swat now and then. She has a lot of cattitude. She is curious and likes to know what you are doing and nose around near you. She loves playing with toys.  Whisper is looking for someone special who will be patient with her and give her time to trust. She would do best in a non-chaotic environment.  Whisper is spayed and is up to date on vaccines.    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
