Story
Prepare for a "chia-rming" addition to your home with Chia, the female cat whose sweetness is as delightful as a blooming garden and whose size and fluff are bound to make your heart "grow" with joy! Chia is not just a cat; she's a purr-fect blend of sweet, large, and fluffy, ready to turn your home into a haven of cuddles and charm. This feline sensation is not just a furball; she's a "paw-some" companion, promising a garden of love and affection. Imagine evenings filled with Chia's gentle purrs and her fluffy embrace that's as comforting as a warm hug. Don't let this opportunity whisker away! Chia is currently on a weight loss plan and will need your help continuing to loose weight in the home to ensure good health. Due to her large size, she does have difficulty grooming and cleaning up after herself and will need your assistance with medicated butt bathes once or twice a week. If this is something your family can support- we provide everything you need. You can apply for Chia at metrodetroitanimals.org🐾🌱<p>For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Story
Moki was found at 5 weeks old in a dumpster and i have had him since! (5 years now) Moki began having aggression towards other cats in the home at 2 years old. He needs to be the only cat in the house. He might do best with no children under 12, however he hasn’t really been around kids. He is a very sweet cat to me when he wants to be. He does swat at me and other humans but his main aggression is at the other cats. I firmly believe that Moki would thrive and behavioral issues would stop if he was the only cat. He doesn’t bite nor draw blood but he will swat from time to time when he is aggravated with the other cats. He loves watching birds on his 20” TV (lol) He loves feathered toys and sometimes joins me in the bath, as long as the water doesn’t touch him. Lol. He is a good boy in need of a no cat zone house!!!

Story
Meet Desdemona! Affectionately known as: Dessie, Dezi D, Monaaaaa and Monerific! This girl has quickly become a staff favorite and it's no secret as to why. She's an upbeat, bright girl who is always welcoming and appreciative of love and attention. She's social and outgoing. She's lovable and affectionate. Goofy and playful. Low key and easy going. I could go on for days, or you could come meet her yourself! Pictures do not do this fluffy, beautiful girl justice either, so you have to come meet her now!Keep in mind: Like I said, Desdemona is a fluffy girl and may need some brushing to prevent any painful matting!Desdemona was adopted for a short time and did not care for the other cat in the home. She may need to be the only cat in her forever home or might be selective and need extremely slow introductions to other cats.

Story
Meet Rainbow Brite! This sweet but shy lady is looking for a new family to call her own! She can be nervous at first, and would likely enjoy a quieter home with low traffic where she won't be easily startled. But once she warms up she is very loving and affectionate! She can be a little overwhelmed in new spaces, so we recommend starting her off in a single room to let her acclimate before introducing her to the whole house. Rainbow Brite loves chin scratches and comfy, cozy placed to hide and nap! Come meet this pretty girl today!

Story
This handsome boy is Prospero! He arrived from a cat colony with 5 of his friends, but this boy is no feral cat! He might be a little shy at first, but he warms up so fast with just a pet or honestly, a little eye contact. Prospero is social and confident when he's comfortable in his surroundings and is quite the goofy boy when he's feeling safe. He's sweet and affectionate, loves a good butt scratch and can't wait to find a forever home to call his own and never have to worry about finding food or shelter again! Consider adopting Prospero with one of his pals so he'll always have a buddy, even when you're not home. Plus, 2 cats is always better than 1!Keep in mind: Prospero is a fluffy, longer haired cat and will need some brushing to prevent any painful matting!
