Story
Hello everyone! We have neutered, 5-month-old, German Shepherd mix puppies! They will likely grow to be between 75-85lbs as adults.  They are high energy, vocal pups who can't wait to make new friends and learn about the world. They would thrive most with a family with dog savvy kids that is familiar with working breeds and is prepared to continue working on training and socialization. They are active young puppies and will need lots and lots of exercise, mental stimulation, and of course, love! If you are looking to add some fluff into your life, just ask Customer Service about these puppies! Enrico ID#A960037 5 month old, neutered, lighter black and tan face Mino ID# A960038 5 month old, neutered male, mostly black body and face Renata ID#A960040 5 month old, spayed female, Pink and Purple, tongue      Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Check out my video! Well, hello! My name is Zelda and I'm a spayed female, 2 year old, German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who currently weighs around 62 lbs. I'm an energetic and effervescent girl that LOVES to play in the water! I would be the perfect companion to beach goers, river rafters or sprinkler hoppers! I'm a girl who feels the call of the wild! I'm a boisterous gal that prefers to be outdoors exploring. I'm hoping to continue honing my social skills and impulse control with an active, loving family. I can't wait to meet everyone in the household including any resident dogs before I head home. Just ask Customer Service about Zelda ID# A0955664 I recently spent some time with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did: I took Zelda to the rooftop yard for her morning TLC. She gets very excited about going to the yard - she absolutely loves fetch and is an expert at it. Zelda is also quite an affectionate girl - she enjoys rubs and love. I make sure to give her lots of affection when we return to the dorm. Good girl!Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
I adopted Mira from OAS in March of 2025 she’s a wonderful dog with a gentle temperament. She enjoys lazing about but on walks she is alert and curious. She doesn't need much stimulation but she prefers to hang around someone for most of the day. Not really a fetch kinda dog, she likes playing go find it with treats and iq toys. She has all her basic training done could potentially be a service animal. Also she’s up to date on all her shots and microchipped. Hope you will consider her shes really a joy to be around and deserves a good home!

Story
Hi there! My name is Pixi. I am a 75-pound German Shepherd mix and am currently 7 years of age. Due to an unforeseen medical emergency in my family, my owner can no longer take care of me. I have been a cherished member of my family since I was a tiny puppy, and while it's hard to say goodbye, I am looking for a patient new family who can provide the extra care I need. I am a nervous dog and struggle with significant separation anxiety. I also find walks a bit overwhelming, so I’m looking for a home where I can feel safe and secure. I hate it when people ring the doorbell or when delivery trucks drive by the house. I am a high-energy dog and I haven't quite mastered my "manners" yet. I’ll need a dedicated adopter who has the time and patience to work with me on training and help me settle into a routine. I have a sensitive stomach and require the Hill’s Prescription Diet z/d (~130.00/month). I also take Tylosin 70mg daily ($0.62/day) to manage my digestive issues.

Story
Redding is a handsome boy who requires a home that can help establish boundaries for him. Redding is house-trained and enjoys car rides, playing fetch, and playing in the water. He is also a regular in the shelter playgroups and does well with other dogs. Redding is a working dog who will benefit greatly from training and a savvy adopter or foster. He is two years old and is likely a Shepherd/Husky mix. Please help us save Redding by sharing his story. Observation comments: It takes time to familiarize and gain trust, so a slow introduction is recommended. This animal requires an experienced handler. It does not do well with sudden human approaches from all directions during the first meet-and-greet. Summary: Due to its size and strength, kids need to be supervised around the dog. This animal requires some space for himself, so do not approach without permission from the animal. Attempting to socialize with this animal is safe at a short distance away without constant, straight eye contact. If this animal acknowledges you, he will approach you naturally and accept your invitation. Once that happens, you will be his best buddy for life! Redding has a hit-or-miss personality. His German Shepherd is a bit picky, but he plays well in the boarding facility playgroup and has been tested at our partnered local boarding club. His personality will change with a calm, quiet, loving home over time.
