Story
Snow and Rosie are 5.5 years old and have been in our family since they were 7 weeks old. They are White German Shepherds. Both have been raised in the same home with our kids and are wonderful family pets. We really could not ask for better dogs. Both enjoy tennis balls and fetch. They will lay on your lap for love and comfort and sleep next to you. They also love steaks off the grill and chicken bones. Not only are we downsizing, but with our busy schedules, it has become challenging to get them the exercise and attention that they both deserve. It breaks our heart to make this difficult decision, but we know it’s time. They both have a big heart and love to sunbathe. They have not bitten anyone, no medical conditions, no surgeries, other than Rosie (female) is fixed. Snow is not fixed. All we ask is that you love them as much (if not more) than we do. Both will need a loving home, But if you are interested in only one, that is okay. Thank you.

FOSTER CARE! BY APPOINTMENT  Hello, my name is Kurlys!  I'm a 1 and a half year old, neutered male, German Shepherd mix that currently weighs about 80lbs.  I'm still a growing boy so I'll do best with a family that is prepared for a very large dog. I'm a curious boy that loves human attention and can't wait to make new friends.  If you have a resident dog, please make sure we have a chance to say hello before adding me to your family. I still have a lot to learn so I'm hoping for a family that is prepared to continue my training and give me lots of exercise! I'm a good boy who already know sit, down and shake (both front paws). I get a little bit stressed when I'm left alone so I would do best with a family that understands I need a little extra attention. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Kurlys! ID# A940881 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by emailing behavior@phs-spca.org You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile.  Application: https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdoptionProfiles_dog2023_fillin.pdf *The application may not work on mobile devices and iPads. Please call (650) 340-7022 for assistance.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Please note at this time we are doing adoptions by appointments only. Please call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment. Our hours are weekdays from 11am-6pm and weekends from 11am-5pm (closed major holidays). Interested adopters must arrive at least 1 hour before close.  We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Hi there!  My name is Bella and I'm an 8-year old, spayed German Shepherd that currently weighs about 65lbs.  I'm a sweetheart that's looking for a forever home with people that understand the needs of senior shepherds like me! I prefer to be the only dog in the household but if you have a dog, please make sure we have a chance to meet before adding me to the family. Story
Hello, my name is Baby. I'm a 10 year old, 87 lbs., spayed, German Shepherd! I'm looking for a loving family that is prepared to pamper me during my senior years! I'm a people social, mellow lady but can be a bit nervous with new people. Once I warm up my happy go lucky personality really shines through. My favorite thing in the world is hanging out with lovely humans! I love getting pets and sitting by your feet, I do best with adults and teens but am honestly good around almost all ages. I love meeting doggies while on walks, but I'm a little older now and not a good playmate. I would do best as the only dog in the home or one with calm pups that understand my senior needs. I'd love to meet your entire family, including any resident dogs, prior to getting adopted! For more information, just ask Customer Service  I recently went on a field trip with one of my favorite volunteers, this is what they had to say: 'She hopped up into the car without hesitation and seemed so ready to go for a ride. We went for a walk around my neighborhood/local park, where she enjoyed lots of sniffing and watching other people and dogs. We also hung out in the yard, where we sat in the sun and she enjoyed getting brushed. Just such a lovely girl. She has a good amount of energy for a 10 (almost 11?) year old shepherd. She was respectful of strangers, respectful of space in the car, and just overall such a sweetheart.' Baby ID# A567759 Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions:  11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week  Adoptions will be done on a first come, first served basis. Please note for walk-ins, if the animal you are interested in has other appointments, he/she may not be available for you to meet. The adoptions process can take a minimum of 1 hour. You must be 18 or older to adopt.  If you prefer to set up an appointment, please submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to adoptinquire@peninsulahumanesociety.org and an adoption counselor will call you make an appointment to meet in person. You must be 18 or older to submit an application. Story
Hello great big beautiful world! My name is Lola. I'm a 2 year old, 77lbs, spayed female German Shepherd mix. My exuberance and excitement for life knows no bounds! I'm a happy girl who loves to romp and play; running zoomies in the yard is like the best thing of all time. I have a very good sit but I'm still working on the rest of my manners. I would love to go home to an active family that would enjoy my energy and is looking forward to going on many adventures with me!
