Story
Lady is a loving dog with one of the best smiles you’ll ever see! Due to pain in her elbow, Lady only does 10- to 15-minute walks twice a day, but that doesn’t dampen her spirit! While she enjoys her short walks, she really loves playing games in the house, and will happily play hide-and-seek with her favorite toys. Lady will do great in any kind of household, as long as there are no other pets. She is very affectionate with the people and interacts great with children. She also makes the perfect office or couch buddy, as she settles down well and is fully potty trained. She loves to hang out with her people, leaning in for pets and lying next to you while you work or relax. This lovely girl came to the shelter just before Thanksgiving2023, when her family was no longer able to take care of her. Since then, she has been patiently waiting for her new family. We think Lady is just the sweetest dog, and we know you will too! Fine Print Lady is best in a household with no other pets. She is great with children!

Story
There is not enough room here for a full description. Please reach out. Rocky is a 4 year old German Shepard / Staffordshire Terrier mix. A happy, playful, and very smart dog. He loves people and food. He loves to pay catch, and he loves to run. He is so very loved by his family. Rocky knows a lot of words like sit, stand, lay down, sit pretty, paw, share, kills, touch, place, stay, wait, on/off, heal (with me), and others. He lets me clip his nails, file them, brush his teeth, clean his ears, clean his paws, and help him when he gets hurt. He lets me put shoes on him, as well as jackets and hats, and anything else. Rocky has not shown any separation anxiety and has been left for a full day at home alone. He’s never chewed on furniture, or destroyed property, other than his own stuffies. He hasn’t chewed on any clothing since he stopped teething as a puppy. He’s just an amazing dog who likes to sleep a lot.

Amos, Neutered male, 1 year 8 months,, 46-Lbs. If you would like to give AMOS a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application About Amos: Amos is one of the best behaved dogs, according to the foster family. He is loving and passionate, yet stable, calm, friendly and obedient. He can easily befriend strangers including kids; also gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is potty trained and crate trained. He will be your good friend and a great companion pet. Amos is patiently waiting for a second chance to join a family of his own! Amos’ rescue story: Amos used to be a stray and was taken home to guard the house by his master. Unfortunately, Amos was terribly mistreated: not only he was poorly fed, but also often beaten by his master. When Amos’s plight was witnessed by the volunteer, she mad a desperate plea for Amos’ owner to let her take Amos from him. Reluctantly, the man gave in. Under the care of his foster family, Amos gained both weight and good spirit; most importantly, he never lost his trust toward humans. Amos also learned good manner and sanitation habit. He enjoyed playing with other dogs too. Story
Hi there! My name is Luna and I'm a spayed, 1-year-old, German Shepherd mix that currently weighs about 45lbs. My friends here at PHS say I'm a ball of energy (I jump for joy when I'm excited!) but sometimes I'm unsure about trying new things. I'm hoping for a new family that has experience helping playful girls like me broaden their horizons. Since I'm still working on my manners and impulse control, I'd like to meet any resident dogs before I officially join the family to make sure we'll be a good match. I hope to be the classiest lady so training is a must! I promise to be the sweetest girl you will ever meet! For more information, just ask Customer Service about Luna ID# A956194.  I recently spent time with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did: Luna is a hoot! Easy to gear and fun to walk. She’s very aware of her surroundings and loves to sniff and wants to roll in the grass, but doesn’t pick up any garbage at all. After our walk I let her loose in the yard and she ran several laps around at top speed getting her ya-yas out. She played with a tennis ball a bit but lost interest. However, when I squirted the hose up in the air she launched herself after the water and did amazing leaps—and wanted to do that for as long as I would let her. Such a fun girl!  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hi there, I'm Zero! I'm a 10 month old, neutered male German Shepherd/Husky mix that currently weighs 53lbs. but I'm still growing and could be around 65-75lbs. when I'm and adult. I'm a playful and energetic puppy that loves attention and snacks. My favorite pastime is running! I’m a happy go lucky guy who treats everyone like they are my best friends! Whether you are 4 legged or 2, I will try to play with you! I'm a smart boy and ready to learn, but not until I get all my wiggles out. My fur-ever family should be familiar with working breeds and be ready to provide lots of exercise, training, socialization, and love.  Oh and snacks, don’t forget the snacks! I may be able to live with other dogs and kids as long as they don’t mind my big energy!  I lived with a cat for a little while, but my playful energy may be too much for some. If I sound like the perfect match for you, come and meet me today! Bring all the human members and any doggy family members as well! Zero ID# A954079  Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by.
