Story
Hello, I'm Flash! I'm a 2-month old, neutered male, black and tan German Shepherd mix who will grow up to be around 80-90 lbs. I'm a super sweet, high energy baby who is looking for an active, fun loving family!  I am a curious and determined little sweetie pie who will need a family or person who can show me the right way and give me good guidance to become an even more fun and great canine citizen. I'm hoping for a family that's prepared to help me work on my manners and continue my training/socialization. Like any young pup, I need plenty of exercise, playtime and love! I cannot wait to meet you! Hello everyone! We have neutered, 5-month-old, German Shepherd mix puppies! They will likely grow to be between 75-85lbs as adults.  They are high energy, vocal pups who can't wait to make new friends and learn about the world. They would thrive most with a family with dog savvy kids that is familiar with working breeds and is prepared to continue working on training and socialization. They are active young puppies and will need lots and lots of exercise, mental stimulation, and of course, love! If you are looking to add some fluff into your life, just ask Customer Service about these puppies! Story
Redding is a handsome boy who requires a home that can help establish boundaries for him. Redding is house-trained and enjoys car rides, playing fetch, and playing in the water. He is also a regular in the shelter playgroups and does well with other dogs. Redding is a working dog who will benefit greatly from training and a savvy adopter or foster. He is two years old and is likely a Shepherd/Husky mix. Please help us save Redding by sharing his story. Observation comments: It takes time to familiarize and gain trust, so a slow introduction is recommended. This animal requires an experienced handler. It does not do well with sudden human approaches from all directions during the first meet-and-greet. Summary: Due to its size and strength, kids need to be supervised around the dog. This animal requires some space for himself, so do not approach without permission from the animal. Attempting to socialize with this animal is safe at a short distance away without constant, straight eye contact. If this animal acknowledges you, he will approach you naturally and accept your invitation. Once that happens, you will be his best buddy for life! Redding has a hit-or-miss personality. His German Shepherd is a bit picky, but he plays well in the boarding facility playgroup and has been tested at our partnered local boarding club. His personality will change with a calm, quiet, loving home over time.

Story
One-year emergency and wellness insurance from our partner, Pets Best, is included, along with a live, in-person veterinary consultation package, for no additional charge, as a thank you for adopting! Standard size beautiful German Shepherd Dog, a natural protection and guardian animal. A loyal family companion needs time to bond with the new handler and their family members. He is the ultimate security system! This sweet guy is a mellow, one-person, one-family companion. Very smart and learns commands well. Good with some animals, a slow introduction is recommended. He is a mid-size Shepherd, easy to handle. Can use some walking manners (pulling on the leash, for example, but easily corrected), loves to socialize with animals and humans once he gets to know you as a friendly or family member.

Mello GSD, someone dumped it with the dog sitter, meaning they did not pay and did not pick up the dog at all. Friendly with other dogs of the same size or smaller, as long as they do not challenge him Helping a local sitter by posting this beauty. If by the end of July no one steps forward to foster or adopt, the pet sitter will have no choice but to surrender him to the shelter.

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.* This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, August 15th from 12–3 PM (unless adopted prior to the event). All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.   Adoption fee: $650 Resort is an option for foster-to-adopt! Book Your Stay: Meet Resort! Every great vacation starts with the perfect destination — and Resort is ready to take you on the cutest adventure of your life. This adorable girl is part of our 'Vacay Puppies' litter, born on April 5th after an accidental litter. When her mama's owner reached out for help, DPS stepped in to make sure these puppies would have the bright future they deserve. Now 4 months old and about 29 pounds, healthy, happy, and full of puppy charm, Resort is ready to check into her forever home. Her Daily Itinerary Like any good vacation, Resort's schedule is all about fun and relaxation. Her day begins around 7:00 AM with a potty break, followed by breakfast, playtime, and plenty of exploring — then a well-earned puppy nap. Throughout the day she cycles through her favorite activities: play, potty, snacks, cuddles, and naps, with bedtime around 10:00 PM after one last round of puppy fun. She's an excellent little traveler-in-training. She does well in her x-pen, uses her potty pad when necessary, and is quick to let her foster family know when she needs to go outside. She's learning all the important puppy skills and making great progress every day. Luxury Accommodations, Cruise Director Included If her litter had a cruise director, it was Resort. Resort is outgoing and adventurous. She loves everyone she meets and especially enjoys trying to convince the resident 45-pound dog that it's time to play. She's confident, social, and always ready for the next activity — and while she enjoys canine companionship, she's equally happy to come over and engage with her humans. She's a young lady who knows exactly what she wants and isn't afraid to share her opinions. Whether she's asking for attention, playtime, or letting you know it's time for an adventure, Resort always keeps life entertaining. Sightseeing and Exploration When Resort first arrived, she was a little shy as she adjusted to her new surroundings. Within just a few days, her confidence blossomed. Now you'll find her prancing around the backyard, sniffing every interesting scent, investigating new corners, playing with toys, and even stopping to smell the flowers along the way. Watching her bounce through the yard is enough to make anyone smile. Travel Companions Welcome Resort has shown she can adapt to a variety of situations. She enjoys the company of other dogs, loves human attention, and has the kind of happy, flexible personality that fits into many different types of homes. She's playful without being overwhelming, affectionate without being clingy, and independent enough to entertain herself when needed. Like all young puppies, she's still learning the basics of housetraining and puppy manners, but she's smart, eager, and making steady progress. Your Next Destination Resort is a happy eater, champion napper, toy enthusiast, backyard explorer, and professional heart-stealer. Most of all, she's exactly what a puppy should be: joyful, curious, loving, and endlessly adorable. So if you're ready to add a little adventure to your life, Resort is packed, ready, and waiting for her forever destination. Apply today and start your next great adventure together! August 12, 2026, 9:14 pm
