Story
Hi, I'm Luna!  I’m an approximately 7 year-old female with a super soft light sable coat. I'm a gentle girl with a very expressive face and the cutest head tilt. I'm also quite cuddly and love to give kisses and snuggles. Everyone who meets me says I'm a very sweet girl.   My DNA says I am mostly a white shepherd, a german shepherd and a bit of shiloh shepherd. I have great house manners and am fully crate trained but really don't need a crate. I can be left alone in the house and won't even think of destroying your stuff. I also sleep quietly through the night. I like my rope tugs, balls, chewy toys and anything that squeaks! So if you ever need to work on something or just need your own quiet time, just give me a fun toy and I’ll go off and entertain myself. And honestly, I really don’t mind sleeping in a little some days if you want to however I would like a family that likes to play ball, walk, and go for rides. I am an active girl and have to keep my fabulous shape.    I have gotten along with calm, respectful dogs that don't get upset when I get a little pesky. I've done several pack walks and have handled myself like a lady. I have a head halter during walks as it gently reminds me to pay attention but I have also gone without it.  I may do best as the only dog in the home because I really want my own person.  I have lived with other dogs before that understand my style. I LOVE going for rides in the car! My foster family takes me out to quite a few different places. So far, I love the quietness of the country and woods are my favorites - Sooo many good smells. I absolutely love using my nose.  I am NOT aggressive, just protective if I need to be. (I really like people).  I already have really good basic commands down, I am highly treat/ball mortivated and have excellent focus. I'm very bright, if I do say so myself, and need to be challenged with daily training, ball play, and FUN. I'm really looking forward to learning more and showing you just how great I am.   Older kids would be fine but I have not been around really small kids and they may just be too much for me. Oh, to keep my beautiful coat nice and soft, I don't mind my baths and brushing. Really, any attention is good attention and I love to be brushed. I would also make a great gardening companion and I love to jusst be by your side.  So, if you’re looking for a fun, sweet, active girl who is also beautiful, affectionate and smart, I may just be your perfect match.  If you’d like to meet me, I’ll be waiting in Newcastle. Story
Hi. I’m Finn!  I'm a happy, friendly boy and LOVE LOVE LOVE to meet new people. Sometimes I can't help it and want to say hi to everyone that passes by. I like other dogs, too, and enjoy a good game of "chase and be chased". I like it so much that some dogs think my greeting can be a little over the top but most want to play like me but I will chill if told to. I love walks and like to sniff everything. I'm great on leash as long as you use my front clip harness. I don't pull with the front clip and it's easy to put on. I’m working hard on training and feel I have mastered sit, down, stay, shake and off. I am really a perfect walking buddy. Even though I love other dogs, sometimes I need to be reminded to share. However, if it’s a tug-of-war rope then GAME ON. I’ll play tug all day long!  If you have a swimming spot nearby, I'm in, literally. I ride nicely in the car and jump right in. I'm ready to roll. My foster family takes me to German Shepherd meetups and I’ve done great!  Like I said, I'm a friendly boy just waiting for that perfect family that wants to have fun and go places. Don't get me wrong, I can be a chill, snuggle buddy too and love to cuddle my foster dad in the mornings.  If you are looking for a great out-and-about boy, come see me and we can be friendls.  I'll be waiting with my foster family in Mountain View. Story
Hi! I’m Bella! I’m a 4 year old sweet, friendly girl and weigh about 76 pounds. I'm affectionate with and loyal to my humans.  My recent past is quite sad as my dad passed away suddenly and I wasn't sure what would happen to me. Fortunately my dad’s nurse promised him he would find me a new loving home and contacted BAGSR for some help. I am with a great foster family now and settling in while I look for the perfect place to land. A little about me - I have great house manners and don't bother stuff that doesn't belong to me. There may times I'm a little cautious of new people coming into the house but I'm pretty good with dog savvy people. With proper introductions, I get along with other dogs big and small. However, I do like to be in charge of squirrel patrol..I used to live with a cat so if you have a cat we might get along great! Since I have bounced around a bit since my dad died, I have been barky when I'm out for a walk on leash. With a patient adopter, consistency, and some training I will likley settle in and learn to not react to other dogs or small animals when I'm out and about. I lived with a yorkie and we were best buds. I know some basic commands and would love to learn more. Group training would really benefit me as I settle into my new home with my new family. To wrap it up, I'm a pretty sensitive, sweet girl dog. I'll need a dog savvy adopter who will make me feel safe and secure. I’ll be waiting with my foster family in San Jose. If you like this dog and are considering adoption, please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/42179/generic   Our adoption team will contact you shortly to help with the process. Story
This stunning healthy girl is 3 ½ yrs old, 100% German Shepherd and smart as a whip. Georgia is a complicated character with many positives and definite challenges. She loves being home with her people, or waiting at home when they are out. Georgia is a very affectionate girl who loves tummy rubs and sometimes tries to be a lapdog. This girl loves chasing the ball at the beach, and hiking off-leash where allowed. Regular in-town leash walks, not so much fun for this girl. Although young, she is not a high energy dog and does fine with occasional beach outings, and playing “Zoomie Go!” in the backyard. At 66 pounds, Georgia is in her physical prime of young adulthood…done with puppy nonsense, a very quick learner, patient, sensitive to her people’s moods, has impeccable house manners, and would never think of sticking her long nose where it doesn’t belong. She is a good traveler, riding silently in her crate (although she doesn’t like people to approach the back of the car). Georgia loves her toys, especially the very small soft ones she enjoys tossing in the air, and displays absolutely no resource guarding of toys, food, etc., easily allowing them to be taken from her. Most fortunately, she is completely unperturbed by sirens, thunder, fireworks or other loud noises. Georgia’s challenges all stem from her considerable anxiety which she has had since being first adopted at five months. Long term Prozac treatment has not been of much benefit. She exhibits extreme protection of the home, and will not allow others to enter unless she is crated. She despises delivery trucks/drivers and the mail carrier. In full disclosure, she once escaped out the front door when a child came to the door and bit the child. She is not safe with children, cats or chickens. Georgia has several dog friends of various sizes she has gone on routine walks with and gets along with them fine. In public, on or off leash she displays no aggression to people, even large male runners running towards us. She is unpredictably occasionally reactive to other dogs on leashes or behind fences we walk by. Georgia is dearly loved but must be rehomed due to owners’ aging issues and the need to have other people welcomed into the home. Georgia would do best living in a calm rural setting with an adoptive parent who is willing to put in the time, training, and patience to help her with her anxiety. They would be rewarded with an affectionate, loyal and extraordinary companion. This is a courtesy post. Georgia will be waiting in Santa Cruz.  You like this dog...now what? Story
Hi there, I'm Nu, and let me tell you about my journey so far. My sister Si and I were rescued by a kind Good Samaritan, and it's been quite the adventure since then. First things first, I'm a very sweet, healthy, playful six-month-old girl. Walking on a leash is no problem for me – I've got that skill down pat. And when it comes to making friends, well, I'm a pro. I get along great with other dogs and absolutely adore people. Inside the house, I'm a perfect little lady. I've got excellent manners and know how to behave myself. But don't worry, I'm not all about being prim and proper – I love to have fun and play just as much as the next pup. Now, what I'm really hoping for is to find my very own family. Someone who will love me, care for me, and give me all the belly rubs I could ever want. I might be just a typical pup, but I'm eager to learn and impress you with all the tricks I can master. Plus, I'm super treat-motivated, so teaching me new things will be a breeze. And if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm all ears – I'm a great listener! So if you're looking for a furry companion who's ready to shower you with love and loyalty, look no further. I'm here, and I can't wait to become part of your family. I'll be waiting in Sacramento. You like this dog...now what? Story
Hey there, I'm Amber, the adventurous and confident senior German Shepherd! I've had my fair share of experiences, and I've come out on top every time. My humans love me for my friendly demeanor and my independent streak—I like to explore on my own and check out the yard, but I'm always happy to have my humans by my side. House manners? No problem at all. I'm a perfect lady indoors, content to relax on my bed or gaze out the sliding door at the world outside. And when it comes to accidents, well, let's just say I'm not a fan of bad weather either! As for crates, I haven't needed one. My humans say I've been such a good girl that there's been no need to try it out. Nighttime? I'm happy to curl up on my bed or the 'dog' couch—wherever I can get a cozy spot. Now, about that bark... I'll give a little raspy bark here and there, just to let my humans know I need some attention. And if I'm left in the car for a minute, you might find me trying to take over the driver's seat! I do love to go for rides.  Toys? Meh, not really my thing. I'm more into napping and exploring. Walking? Sure, I'm up for it, but I'll admit I start to tire out towards the end of a mile. Other dogs? No problem at all. I get along just fine, although I'm not really one for playing. I'm more of a hang-out-and-chill kind of gal. I may be hard of hearing, says my foster.  Cats? Well, I've been known to pull towards them on walks, but I haven't had a chance to meet one up close yet. Leash walking? Easy peasy. No reactivity here—I just stroll along, taking in the sights and sounds. Training? Just the basics for me, but I'm a quick learner. Sit? No problem! And the best part about me? I'm a great explorer. Whether it's the yard or the house, I'm always up for checking out something new. Sure, I've got some hind end weakness, but that doesn't slow me down—I've still got plenty of adventures left in me! I hope you'd like to meet me! I'll be waiting with my foster family in Pioneer.  You like this dog...now what? Story
Hi! I'm Lucky. I’m a friendly youngster with plenty of potential.  And let me tell you, I'm all about that food life! I'm super treat motivated. I'm also a people watcher, especially in busy areas, but you won't catch me barking at passersby. I've been hanging out with my finder for a few months now, and we've really bonded. But I’m looking for my very own permanent people. In my foster home, I've got some furry friends—a senior shepherd and two corgis. The shepherd's cool with me, but those corgis think they're royalty! I've also met my finder's daughter, and I'll admit, I can get a little too excited and jump up on people. But hey, I'm just overflowing with energy! I'm crate trained, so I sleep soundly through the night. As for toys, well, let's just say I have a talent for destruction. But that's just me being a typical puppy! Car rides are the best—I love peeking out the back window and feeling the wind in my fur. I'm super friendly with other dogs, maybe a little too forward sometimes. But don't worry, there's no aggression here, just lots of kisses and wiggles. I do have a habit of jumping up, though, so I might accidentally knock over small kids or elderly folks. With some training, I'm sure I can learn to control my excitement better. I'm a big, playful puppy who just needs someone with the energy to keep up with me. With a little manners training and leash practice, I'll be the perfect family dog. So if you're up for some fun and lots of potential, I'm your gal!
