Story
7yr old tan M/N shepherd mix Foster notes: Noble is a sensitive guy and he seems to be more comfortable around women than men for now.  He loves being near his person & follows me all day around the house.  He may resource guard his bed.  He bit my husband the first week we had him when he tried to pet him when he was on his bed.  I have since kept him apart from my husband and he has not shown any signs of aggression for a while and he has even wagged his tail at my husband.  I would still err on the side of caution with new people and men with his bed.  Any iffy situation I have him leashed and muzzled or on the other side of a baby gate.  When people come over or in crowded places I let him wear a comfortable muzzle.  It makes me more comfortable and it keeps him out of trouble.  He has walked in very crowded places in close quarters wearing a muzzle and has not shown any signs of aggression.  I feel that if there is any aggression it could be territorial or fearful aggression because I have only seen him do it at home.  I don’t know how he is around children but I think it would be a safer bet to say no kids.  He is potty trained.  He is good with other dogs with a proper introduction.  I have two pit bulls and a chihuahua and he hangs out with them all day long.  He is obsessed with playing fetch.  He will drop the ball in front of you while you are cooking dinner.  Once he thinks you are his person, you could not find a more loyal and loving campanion.  He has decompressed a lot in the short time he has lived with me and he will  be even better with time in a loving and patient home.  His ideal owner would be someone who is willing to take it slow with him and let him open up on his own terms, someone with a lot of dog experience, who is home a lot, a woman.  Also he came to me with itchy skin and I have been giving him fresh food and it has cleared everything up.  So a dream home would provide that for him too otherwise I think he might have allergies. Also Noble is very athletic.  If someone wants a jogging partner, he would be up for it. ##2632401##

Story
Gandalf - 57 lb, 3 years old, Shepherd mix. This poor guy was a stray; he was caught using a dog trap. He’s shut down in the shelter environment. He’ll need an experienced, patient handler who can help him to decompress and come out of his shell. Gandalf was evaluated by staff; key observations are as follows: Tolerates gentle petting on the head; shut down; shows limited social skills with people. Overall, appears under socialized and a flight risk! Leash walking is currently very uncomfortable; he will resist, yelp, and attempt to hide. Enjoyed spending time in the yard (on leash), tolerated people being present but does not show much enthusiasm or engagement. He did take treats gently from the handler. Tested well with another male (Coffee); they were able to sit in the grass together and relax. He was also introduced to a more energetic female dog, River. He initially growled at her but then was able to coexist and allow some curious sniffing. Any future introductions to other dogs should be slow and supervised. When returning to his kennel, Gandalf walked inside on his own to hide and allowed staff to remove his leash without issue. ##2604285##

Story
Hi there! I’m Zoe I might be a little shy when we first meet, but once I feel safe, my sweet and gentle personality really shines. I’ve been learning that the world can be a kind place, and every day I grow a little more confident. I love being part of a family . I do wonderfully in a home with kids, even with all the running, playing, and laughter. I’m calm, observant, and happiest when I know I belong. I’m also great with other dogs ! I enjoy playtime and do well in group settings. I’ve even helped a few nervous pups feel more comfortable just by being myself. Watching me come out of my shell has been pretty special. I settle into routines well, communicate my needs, and appreciate a home that lets me take things at my own pace. With patience, love, and understanding, I truly blossom . What I’m hoping for: A loving forever home A patient, kind human A calm environment where trust can grow If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a soft heart and a gentle soul, I might just be your girl . I’m ready to start my next chapter—could it be with you? Love,Zoe ##2529909##

Story
Lilah is just eight months old, a young black and tan shepherd mix puppy who has never had a home of her own. She spends her days in a kennel, moving quietly through a world that is loud and confusing. She should be exploring, playing, and learning about life outside bars, but instead she waits, hoping someone will see her before it’s too late. She is calm and dog-friendly, navigating the shelter alongside other dogs without issue. Despite minor medical challenges, including a stomach upset and a kennel-related cough, she remains bright, alert, and eating well. She faces each day patiently, adapting as best she can to the shelter environment, showing the resilience of a puppy who hasn’t given up. ##2651130##

Story
Billie is an older gentleman who as found as a stray and brought in by a Good Samaritan. His finders loved him and held him for about two weeks but couldn’t keep him. They say, “We fostered him for about 2 weeks but couldn’t keep him as we moved this week and couldn’t bring him along. He’s super chill and just needs some lovin’.” Here at the shelter, Billie is an independent soul. He thinks for himself and has his own agenda, but has good energy. He loves treats and knows how to sit (good boy) but isn’t the type to be all up in your business. He’s a great dog for someone who wants a chill roommate-type companion instead of an obsessive best friend! We haven’t tested Billie with dogs yet, but please bring your dogs to meet him and see if it’s a match! Neutered Male 77 pounds 7 years ##2621643##
