He's interested, but courteous, around other dogs and should integrate well into a household with one or more large dogs. His high energy and good mobility would make him a great hiking buddy. Since he's a big athletic guy, a strong handler is recommended for leash walks. Like many GSDs, Handsom loves food more than toys, and is an eager eater. Lola T. is a beautiful 7 year old German Shepherd female weighing 64 pounds. She is the perfect size for adopters of all ages. She easily makes friends with people, and playfully seeks attention in a pushy sort of way. She does well in meeting other large dogs, especially males, and does OK meeting females but she can be a bit dominant. She loves to sniff around every corner of her environment as a curious soul might do. We are not sure how she would react to cats, but we do know she does great around older kids. She is easy to walk on leash, rarely pulling, enjoys her walks and occasionally will exhibit some stiffness while walking. Her overall personality is that of a friendly, playful, very affectionate dog that likes attention and lets you know when she wants that attention, but in a loving way. To top all of this she likes car rides, knows basic commands such as "sit", "no", "come", is house-trained and has good, healthy energy. 7yr old tan M/N shepherd mix Foster notes: Noble is a sensitive guy and he seems to be more comfortable around women than men for now. He loves being near his person & follows me all day around the house. He may resource guard his bed. He bit my husband the first week we had him when he tried to pet him when he was on his bed. I have since kept him apart from my husband and he has not shown any signs of aggression for a while and he has even wagged his tail at my husband. I would still err on the side of caution with new people and men with his bed. Any iffy situation I have him leashed and muzzled or on the other side of a baby gate. When people come over or in crowded places I let him wear a comfortable muzzle. It makes me more comfortable and it keeps him out of trouble. He has walked in very crowded places in close quarters wearing a muzzle and has not shown any signs of aggression. I feel that if there is any aggression it could be territorial or fearful aggression because I have only seen him do it at home. I don’t know how he is around children but I think it would be a safer bet to say no kids. He is potty trained. He is good with other dogs with a proper introduction. I have two pit bulls and a chihuahua and he hangs out with them all day long. He is obsessed with playing fetch. He will drop the ball in front of you while you are cooking dinner. Once he thinks you are his person, you could not find a more loyal and loving campanion. He has decompressed a lot in the short time he has lived with me and he will be even better with time in a loving and patient home. His ideal owner would be someone who is willing to take it slow with him and let him open up on his own terms, someone with a lot of dog experience, who is home a lot, a woman. Also he came to me with itchy skin and I have been giving him fresh food and it has cleared everything up. So a dream home would provide that for him too otherwise I think he might have allergies. Also Noble is very athletic. If someone wants a jogging partner, he would be up for it. ##2632401##

This sweet girl may be going gray in the face, but she still has so much love to give and is not ready to slow down just yet. Rocco loves human affection and allowed all over touch, and she even let us in on her treat-catching talents! She can be excitable just because she is so happy to see you, and sometimes will bark and chase her tail to get attention, but she listens pretty well and is a very good girl. Rocco needs a home that will give her a comfy place to rest and get her bursts of energy out! She doesn’t necessarily need an active home, just one with lots of love. When testing Rocco with other dogs, she was tolerant but a little uncomfortable. She wasn’t overly interested in sniffing and tucked her tail when her own butt was sniffed. She much preferred human attention, and she would likely do best with other calm, neutral dogs who are okay letting her have a little space to breathe. ##2605190##
