Hey, it’s Maui here! My foster mom wrote my bio a couple weeks ago, but I’ve been learning a LOT since then. Let me give you the good scoop… Yes, I jump. It’s because I love her, duh. But apparently, if I keep all four paws on the floor, I get TREATS?! Who would’ve thought no hugs meant snacks? I still forget sometimes, but I’m learning! I’ve also learned not to nibble so much. Surprisingly, treats taste much better than people. Have I mentioned I LOVE treats? All kinds. Yummy. Now, one weakness I’m still working on… socks. I like to eat them. Maybe it’s the sweaty-feet flavor? Mom says they’re dangerous to swallow, so they have to stay out of reach. As she tells foster dad, “If you don’t leave them lying around, he can’t get them.” Don’t worry—we’re still training Dad. He’ll get there. My leash manners? Getting pretty amazing! I figured out that walking nicely earns me—you guessed it—TREEEEATS! I hardly pull anymore. When I do, Mom asks me to sit until I’m calm, and then we keep going. When you’re a guy on a mission, stopping is inconvenient, so I’m learning to focus and keep walking nicely. Mostly. Off duty, I love couch cuddles and sleeping next to my foster mom. Women are usually my favorite, but my foster dad is soft-spoken and doesn’t have a deep voice, so I feel comfortable with him, too. I do best with someone calm, patient, and clear about what they want me to do. Firm directions are okay. Yelling? No thank you. I have feelings, you know. I’m also still learning about sharing. If my foster brother tries to take my toys, I can get vocal and protective of them. I haven’t hurt him, but I need my people to give us space and help manage those moments. I prefer eating in my kennel or a separate room, where I don’t have to worry about another dog coming near my food. Sometimes I get loud because I’m worried I’ll have to compete for it. Mom is helping me learn that my meals will always come and I can eat in peace. Seriously though, have I mentioned the treat lady? Her supply seems unlimited. Excellent household management, if you ask me. I’m potty trained, too! Mom thinks she’s taught me to go on command. What I’ve learned is that a pee earns one treat and a poop earns TWO. We both think we’re training each other, and honestly, it’s working. I haven’t had any regular potty accidents in the house. Okay, there was ONE little excitement tinkle when Mom came home after a long day. I was just soooo happy to see her. Whoops. Love leaked a little. Also, have I mentioned my impeccable recall skills? Call my name and I’ll come right to you. I do not think a non fenced in yard is a deal breaker in my future! I really love my foster family, but Mom says someday I’ll find a forever family of my very own. Someone who will keep teaching me, understand the things I’m still working on, and let me curl up beside them when the day is done. I believe her. Meet Zeppelin!  This "Heartbreaker" has a "Whole Lotta Love" to give you!  Zeppelin will definitely be there for "Good Times Bad Times" and all the times in between.  While we would call him just a big bundle of love, Zeppelin is an 82 pound Great Dane mix.  This one year old could play all day, but "In the Evening" he just wants to snuggle up with his person/people.  He hasn't had any accidents in the house and does really well in a kennel.  He is learning how to walk on a leash and basic commands.  Zeppelin has spent most of his life in a rescue thinking to himself,"Your Time is Going to Come" to have a family of your own. Zeppelin is currently living with a family with children, 3 other dogs and a cat and gets along with everyone. Hey there, I am Gordy aka Gordon (when I’m not listening) and Gordito Crunch (when my foster mama is playing with me)! I am a 5 year old Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix. That just means I’m extra great of course! I have the Great Dane height and body but a Great Pyrenees head with the Pyrenees shedding.  I was originally surrendered as a puppy due to having special back legs. I was adopted to a wonderful family but returned back to rescue because of my sensitivity to frequent visitors. I get that from the Great Pyrenees side - I feel the need to protect my home and yard.  I love hard and love attention from my humans but don’t enjoy people I don’t know initially when they enter my home. I take my job of protecting the home seriously and need my humans to prove to me that they can control and protect the house so I don’t have to worry about it. I really respect boundaries and expectations that are presented to me by my humans!  I  graduated a 5 week board and train program  in 2023. I have strong obedience skills and am looking for a home who can hold me accountable to those skills. I know how to walk well on leash, the place command, heel, come and all of the other skills I need to be a well mannered boy. I am trained with an eCollar and a prong collar for walking. My future family should be comfortable with those training tools.  I really love to play with toys and other dog friends. I’m a total goofball but have shown resource guarding over food with other dogs. I prefer to eat my food and bones in my kennel or in a separate room from other dogs however, as I get older I am much more relaxed. I am also good with cats though have never lived with one.  I really love my kennel. I will sleep there at night, when my foster parents are gone or when there are visitors at the house. I can also be left out to free roam at night though I prefer to sleep next to my foster parents bed or in the hallway so I can keep a watchful eye on my humans.  Remember how I was surrendered as a puppy due to having special legs? Well, I still have special back legs. I was born with slightly twisted femurs so I walk a bit differently and have arthritis in my back knees. I love to run and play but can be sore after playing all day long so I occasionally take gabapentin to help. I also require daily joint supplements to help my bones stay healthy. I have a pet insurance policy that will be transferred to a potential adopter - they will be expected to continue to keep that in place after adopting me.  Foster Mama Here:Gordy is the bestest boy. We fostered him when he was a puppy as well. We do not let him greet new visitors at our house and require him to stay on his bed in a “place” while visitors are here or in his kennel. He does like to meet people slowly and at a good pace. We would walk his adoptive family through the intro process that he is successful with. Once he knows and trusts you he will forever welcome you as a family member of his.  Gordy has so much potential and loves so hard. But he will require owners who can set strict boundaries in the home and hold him accountable. His breed and genetics make him want to protect his home and people but if you a set boundaries he is such a great listener. We walk him on a prong collar and he is eCollar trained. His adopters will need to commit to continued use of these training tools and also meeting with his board and train trainer to learn about everything he knows. Gordy is muzzle trained. He is great at the groomer! Gordy loves the snow and playing outside. His favorite is his doggy pool in the summer. We have 4 other dogs in our home and he plays with all of them.  Gordy lived with kids in his first home. He was very protective over them so we do not recommend he go to a home with children under the age of 12. He could thrive in the country as he will bark when he sees humans and dogs walking by the home. ##954057##

Hi there, Zeus here!! I’m a 1-year-old Great Dane who just celebrated my first birthday — woot woot! I was surrendered because my family lived in a small apartment, and while apartment living can totally work for Great Danes, I’m a big, energetic, goofy teenage boy and was just a little more than they could handle. Since coming to rescue, I’ve been living on a farm with some other doggos and doing great! I love playing with my friends along the fence line, and I recently got to run some serious zoomies with another Dane. And let me tell you... I play exactly like you’d expect a toddler Great Dane to play: full speed, all limbs, absolutely no awareness of where my body ends. Suddenly everyone understands why apartment life wasn't for me. I’ve been told that I did well at dog parks in my previous home, and I love everyone I meet. However, I do have a history of resource guarding around other dogs, particularly with treats. I have growled and lunged when another dog has approached something I consider valuable. While I’ve otherwise done well with other dogs, this is a behavior my forever family needs to take seriously. Treats, food, chews, and other high-value items will need to be carefully managed around other animals, and my family will need to continue working on this behavior through training. Because I’m a very large dog, the rescue wants to make sure my future family understands this behavior and is prepared to manage it safely. I came into rescue with basically zero training, zero impulse control, and approximately zero manners. That means it’s up to my forever family to continue working with me, giving me structure, and setting me up for success. I’m only one, so I have lots of learning left to do — and lots of potential! Because of my size, energy, and lack of previous training, training classes will be required in my forever home. If classes involve treatos, I have officially agreed to these terms. Meet Coco! ❤️ Coco is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than being with her people. She’s a wonderfully content companion who is happy to go for a walk, run around the backyard, or simply hang out at home. She’s quiet and well-behaved in the house, doesn’t chew on things, and knows when it’s time to settle in for the night. Coco can be a little unsure of some men when she first meets them and may give a small growl when she’s nervous. She does best with a slow, low-pressure introduction—having a new person sit down outside and let her approach on her own terms helps her feel much more comfortable. Once Coco decides you’re okay, though, you’ll discover the absolute best girl! She’s affectionate, loving, and ready to soak up all the attention she can get. And Coco definitely knows how to ask for that attention! She may jump up for a hug or hop into your lap before rolling over for her favorite belly rubs. She’s working on keeping all four paws on the floor when saying hello, but her enthusiasm is pretty adorable. She can also get a little jealous when sharing attention with another dog, so sometimes her people have to make sure both pups are getting pets at the same time. She enjoys playing with other dogs but could also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. Coco enjoys running and being playful in the backyard. She’ll happily chase a toy, although she hasn’t quite figured out that the “bring it back” part of fetch is important! When the day winds down, she’s happy to relax and settle in. Coco is house-trained, knows her basic commands, and is working on her “stay.” She isn’t a fan of being locked in a kennel, although she is comfortable resting in one with the door open. She does have a little separation anxiety and may howl briefly when her people leave, but she settles fairly quickly. Leaving the TV on seems to help her feel less alone. Coco is a loving, affectionate girl who simply wants to be near her people. Give her a little patience when meeting new men, plenty of belly rubs, and a spot by your side, and Coco will happily show you what a special girl she is. 💕
