Story
Marti has touched so many people's hearts and she is very special to us. Marti is one of our shelter fire survivors. She spent weeks in the hospital recovering from severely burned paws, enduring painful dressing changes and restricted movement. As you can imagine, it has been more than a physical recovery but an emotional and psychological recovery for our resilient girl. Her paws are now healed and she is able to walk unrestricted again. Marti would do best in a home where she can get ALOT of outdoor walks and hikes and yard play, someone who is home alot to keep her company, keep her mind active and keep her on a regular schedule. Marti is super smart as well - she has had basic training and agility training certificates with her previous owner and needs to have things to challenge her high energy brain to keep her busy. She loves to play with toys and will hop on her toys and will thrown them up and play on her own. She was originally surrendered when grandchildren moved into the home and there was an issue with resource guarding of toys & food so Marti would do best in a home without kids. We know there is someone out there who can understand our girl and give her the love and structure she needs to thrive. Marti's adoption fee is $200. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.

Story
Maverick was one of our shelter fire survivors and is now in a foster home. Maverick loves butt scratches and is walking well on leash. He isn’t super interested in playing with toys however he will play for a bit. His previous owner seemed to just let him out in the backyard and did not teach him commands or walk him much but our staff have been working with him and now Maverick knows how to sit and really enjoys taking walks in the woods. Maverick is anxious around other dogs so he would do best in a home as an only dog. He is sensitive about anything done around his neck but we have been working with him on this and able to put a collar/leash on. He will need an owner who is experienced with working breeds and will continue to work with him on this to get him comfortable with that and to give him the structure he needs. Maverick would love to have someone give him a chance to have a home of his own. Maverick is about 9 years old and 44 pounds. Please help Maverick find a loving family of his own. Maverick's adoption fee is $100. This also covers all age-appropriate shots, spay/neuter, vetting & microchipping.

Story
Meet Marsha At just 11 months old, Marsha has already come a long way. Found abandoned in the country with her littermate and a friend, she survived by taking shelter in an old barn while kindhearted people quietly made sure she had food.  She’s been in foster care in Texas for several months. ,  Marsha absolutely loves other dogs—honestly, they’re her favorite. She thrives in the company of canine friends and would do best in a home with another confident dog to help guide her and be her buddy. She enjoys playing outside with her foster siblings and would be happiest with space to explore and a yard to romp in. What Marsha really needs now is a patient, loving family who will continue to let her grow at her own pace. Someone who understands that trust takes time—but is incredibly rewarding when it blooms. If you’re looking for a gentle, independent pup with a playful side and a heart full of quiet love, Marsha might just be your perfect match Marsha is microchipped, spayed and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $415. Apply to adopt MARSHA LONESTAR at www.ehrdogs.org   August 28, 2026, 7:15 pm

Story
Meet Kevin, Kevin is an almost 2-year-old Husky and weighs around 60 pounds. He loves to play, has tons of energy, and is the funniest guy on the block.  Everyone who has met Kevin, loves Kevin. He is the type of dog who will follow you to the ends of the earth and keep you entertained the entire trip. As much as the silly boy loves to play, chase the ball, and sing the songs of his ancestors… he is just as much a total love muffin. He particularly loves to be held and get lots of booty scratches. Kevin’s personality isn’t the only thing that shines about him. He is a truly stunning boy, his tri-color mix coat paired with his one brown eye and one blue eye makes him the man to have if you want a dog that will really draw crowds of people saying “Omg, He’s gorgeous” and “Where did you find him?”. On top of that he is brilliant and very food motivated when it comes to training. He loves everyone he comes in contact with and is a social butterfly and is mostly housebroken. Kevin is also neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $415.  Apply for Kevin SCAS at EHRDOGS.ORG! August 28, 2026, 7:15 pm

Story
Meet Cubby – Your Adventure Buddy and Best Friend! Breed: Husky Mix | Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 50 lbs Cubby is a stunning Husky mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. After being rescued from an overcrowded backyard situation, this sweet boy has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find his forever family.   Cubby has discovered the joys of life—walks, playtime, snuggles, and, most of all, people! He’s affectionate, smart, and always seems to be trying to understand everything around him with those expressive eyes. He’s especially great with children and loves being part of a family.   An energetic and athletic pup, Cubby thrives on adventure. He loves long walks, hiking, backpacking, playing fetch, running beside a bike, and splashing in the water. If you lead an active lifestyle, Cubby might just be your perfect match. And when the day is done? He’s happy to chill on his dog bed, content just being near his people.   Cubby currently lives with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another dog buddy—or as your one-and-only if he gets plenty of exercise and enrichment.   Cubby is not just a dog—he’s a loyal companion, hiking partner, and forever friend who will bring joy, laughter, and love to your life. All he needs is a family who will give him the active, loving home he deserves.    Fostered in Tennessee   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm
