Story
Meet Diesel! This fun 2 year old "pitsky" is still just an overgrown puppy at heart. "Too much dog" for most people, he is probably smarter, faster, and more athletic than you and knows it, and has a great sense of humor about it. He responds well to training and knows his commands but likes to test to see what he can get away with. He likes to play rough with other dogs and can be overwhelming for most dogs but would be a fun playmate for a big girl dog who likes to wrestle and chase him but still can hold her own and let him know she's the boss. He loves to bark in the face of his best doggie friend at the shelter until she yells back at him and then poke her and run away laughing like a misbehaving toddler. He's been on overnights in the past with staff members and was well-behaved and enjoyed spending time in a home, and we would love for him to get back into a real home soon! If you want a hilarious goofy best friend that will keep you on your toes, please submit an application to meet our resident class clown, Diesel Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 52 Age: 2yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
Benji is a uniquely adorable mixed breed, a very interesting "accidental" combination between a husky mom and a shih tzu/pomeranian dad. But he looks more like a giant Westie, 42lbs full grown and a little over a year old. With his expressive eyes, scruffy whiskers and alert quizzical expressions, he looks like he should be a movie star but he is more of an introvert and wouldn't enjoy the well-deserved fame. He wasn't socialized much outside of his previous household so is a very skittish guy with new people and situations. But once he feels safe and comfortable he's a sweet playful guy, still a puppy at heart. He loves other dogs and feels much safer in their presence, so a home with another doggie buddy is a must for him to feel safe. He does shed and would not be suitable for allergy sufferers, and has been neutered and updated on shots. Please submit an application to meet him Primary Color: White Weight: 42 Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story
Meet Meesha At just 7–8 months old, Meesha has already come a long way. Found abandoned in the country with her littermate and a friend, she survived by taking shelter in an old barn while kindhearted people quietly made sure she had food. Life was uncertain and scary back then—but today, Meesha is safe, growing, and ready for her next chapter. She’s been in foster care in Texas for several months, learning what it means to live in a home. While she’s still a bit independent by nature, Meesha has blossomed in her own quiet way. She’s formed a special bond with her foster parents (though she might have a tiny soft spot for dad!) and is beginning to enjoy affection on her own terms. Meesha absolutely loves other dogs—honestly, they’re her favorite. She thrives in the company of canine friends and would do best in a home with another confident dog to help guide her and be her buddy. She enjoys playing outside with her foster siblings and would be happiest with space to explore and a yard to romp in. With her beautiful, fluffy coat, Meesha looks bigger than she is, but she’s just around 32 pounds—an ideal medium size. She’s crate-trained but prefers snoozing on her comfy bed, and she’s fully housetrained with a doggie door. She does well when kids come to visit and isn’t overly demanding—she’s content doing her own thing, then checking in when she’s ready. Meesha has found her voice in the best ways—she’ll happily “chat” at mealtime or when her foster family gets home, just to let you know she’s excited you’re back. What Meesha really needs now is a patient, loving family who will continue to let her grow at her own pace. Someone who understands that trust takes time—but is incredibly rewarding when it blooms. If you’re looking for a gentle, independent pup with a playful side and a heart full of quiet love, Meesha might just be your perfect match Meesha is microchipped, spayed and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $415. Apply to adopt MEESHA LONESTAR at www.ehrdogs.org   April 22, 2026, 3:00 am

Story
Tori is a stunning black and dark caramel female puppy whose beauty is only matched by her resilience. She and her three siblings were heartbreakingly found abandoned in the middle of a quiet country road in rural “cow pasture” country—left where no one would witness the cruel act. Thankfully, fate had other plans. A kind family discovered them just in time, and though overwhelmed at first, they reached out for help. Critter Cavalry Rescue answered the call, and a loving foster home stepped in to give these puppies the second chance they deserved. Now thriving in foster care, Tori has blossomed into a social, affectionate, and confident young pup. She has attended multiple gatherings with both children and adults and quickly wins over everyone she meets—making fast friends wherever she goes. With her long, luxurious coat in rich dark chocolate and caramel tones, she is truly a showstopper. Tori is expected to grow into a beautiful 60-pound dog with a balanced energy level—playful and curious, but not overwhelming. She is already making great progress with crate training and housebreaking, showing just how smart and eager to please she is. Tori would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and enjoy her playful nature. She is the total package—loving, adaptable, and ready to become a cherished member of a lucky family. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this special girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Tori is currently in foster care in Nashville, TN, and is available for local adoption as well as placement in the Northeast through transport options. Tori is a breathtaking black and dark caramel puppy with a story that could have ended very differently. She and her three siblings were found abandoned on a remote country road in the middle of “cow pasture” country—left behind where no one would see. But kindness stepped in at just the right moment. A compassionate family found them and, not knowing where to turn, reached out for help. That call led to Critter Cavalry Rescue and a devoted foster home that welcomed these puppies with open arms. Since then, Tori has been given the love and care every puppy deserves—and it shows. She’s grown into a confident, affectionate, and incredibly social girl who happily joins in at gatherings with both kids and adults, charming everyone she meets. She’s the kind of puppy who fits in wherever she goes and makes herself right at home. Tori’s gorgeous coat is a rich blend of dark chocolate and caramel, with soft, longer fur that makes her as striking as she is cuddly. She’s expected to be around 60 pounds when full grown and has a wonderful, balanced energy—playful and curious, but not overwhelming. She’s already doing well with crate training and is learning a solid housebreaking routine, proving she’s both smart and eager to please. This sweet girl will thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely stretch her legs and enjoy her playful spirit. More than anything, Tori is ready for a forever family who will love her as much as she will love them. If Tori sounds like the missing piece to your family, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. She is currently in foster care in Nashville, TN, and can be adopted locally or transported to the Northeast for the right home.     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 21, 2026, 9:05 pm
