Story
Meet Ghoat. He’s being fostered in east TN. Out of state welcome for additional fee. We transport to the Greta lakes and northeast areas east areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. Ghost had a home but unfortunately his owner could not longer care for him. He’s a really sweet pup. He loves attention and will come rest his head on your lap for petting and ear scratches. He gets along with most all other dogs big and small young or old. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He seems to be a husky mix. He has the curled husky tail and the coat of a medium coated husky but he also looks like he could be mixed with another breed. He’s not very big and only around 45 lbs. he’s a year old so he should not get much bigger. He probably will top out around 50-55 lbs. he is crate trained and house trained and walks well on a leash. He is a just a little shy when meeting new people and it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He is one smart and sweet pup!

Story
Honey is an amazing dog who deserves a very special home. Honey came to Cameron Animal Rescue from a local inner city shelter after being found as a stray. She is smart, energetic, opinionated, and loves to play. She has lots of love to give, and tons of trouble to get into. Honey is a Husky mix, and is characteristic of her breed. She is very high energy - she will make an amazing jogging or hiking partner. She easily goes for 5-10 mile walks each day, and still has energy left over. She loves to play fetch and chase balls. She needs a family with a similar energy level who will ensure she gets the exercise that she needs. She needs a fenced-in back yard, ideally with an 8 ft. fence, because she can easily jump anything smaller. Honey is incredibly smart, but can also be stubborn. She knows many tricks, including sit, shake, lay down, and stay. She walks well on leash, but can be quite strong, especially when she first starts out, before she's gotten some energy out. Honey loves to play with everything she encounters on walks, including water bottles, pinecones, leaves, and has an uncanny ability to find abandoned balls. She also has a very high prey drive, and will try to chase squirrels, rabbits, birds, and other small animals. But she is very respectful of deer and other larger animals. Honey loves people, and usually is wonderful with anyone and everyone she meets, although she can occasionally be very nervous. We don't know anything about Honey's past, but her fear at sudden movements towards her, and at handling around her neck by anyone she does not know well, and her utter panic at getting her leash or anything tangled around her legs, are suggestive of significant abuse. She has made huge progress with staff members at the rescue, but is especially fearful of handling around her head and neck by new people. She needs a family who understands those fears, and will be patient and understanding as they earn her trust. Because Honey can have fearful moments with some handling, a home without small children is recommended. When she is comfortable, Honey is incredibly affectionate. She loves being pet, and enjoys cuddling up to you for hugs and attention. She loves being near people whenever she can. Honey is very interested in meeting other dogs, but can be anxious at first. She does well with calm dogs of all sizes and breeds who do not react to her nervousness. She is fearful of more excited dogs, dogs who try to wrestle as they play, or dogs who react to her anxiety. With slow introductions she would thrive in a home with a calm dog who would serve as a role model and playmate for her. Unfortunately Honey's prey drive extends to cats, and she must have a home without them. Honey is a healthy 3 year old girl. Her adoption includes - her complete series of DHLPPi (distemper), Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; fecal testing and deworming; heartworm and flea/tick preventive for 1 month; spay; microchip; 30 days of free insurance. She is fully house-trained. Honey has been through more than we can imagine, and she deserves a permanent, loving home of her own with a family who loves her. We understand that we are looking for a very special home, with the experience, patience, and energy level to give Honey what she needs, but we are convinced that the perfect family is out there somewhere. Story
Leo is a 2-3 year old, 57 pound, husky mix.  He  is a fairly calm boy...though he will have the occasional puppy burst of energy.  Leo's will sit when you ask him to, and will gladly be your co-pilot when driving - he loves car rides and will jump right in the back seat and chill out for the trip.  He is friendly with people and dogs. Personality: friendly, affectionate, fairly calm, good in car Good with: people, and dogs.  No cats for Leo. Training: knows the command for 'sit' Estimated age: approximately 2-3 years old Weight: 57 pounds Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next monthly transport.  Background: Like so many dogs, Leo's story is a sad one.  Leo spent the beginning of his life with a caring and loving owner who regularly took him to the vet and kept him inside (which is not typical for dogs in the south).  Unfortunately, Leo's owner had to move into a senior residence, so he entrusted a friend to care for his beloved dog.   Long story short, that "friend" kept Leo chained up outside without food and water.  He was so skinny when he was rescued .  He was brought to a kill shelter with a 3 day deadline for euthanasia.  Luckily we were able to pulled him out in the nick of time.  Once we had him seen by a vet we discovered that he was heartworm positive.  We paid for his treatments and are happy to announce that he is now heartworm free and he is a very happy and healthy boy!  He loves meeting new people and spreading joy like only a good boy like Leo can do!   We really want to find Leo a loving, stable home.  He must have been so confused, going from the love and safety of his original owner to being tied up and ignored outside. Story
🐾 Meet Ghost , a  Sweet Siberian Pup! 🐾**** Come to PetCo located at 1111 Rte 46 E, Parsippany NJ on Saturday 7/11/26 between 11 am - 2 pm to meet sweet Ghost ****This sweet 10-month-old husky pup has already had a rough start in life. From animal control, to what was supposed to be his forever home, only to be returned through no fault of their own. Sadly, the resident dog in the home just could not handle typical puppy energy, and it was decided that finding a better suited home was what was best for everyone involved.Despite everything he has been through, Ghost is doing AMAZING in his foster home.  He is doing well with the resident dogs , and his foster family says he is a sweet,  loving, and fun pup who just wants to be part of a family. He would make wonderful addition to a home with other dogs or kids who are ready for all the love and goofy energy husky puppies bring 🐾
