***ICELYN IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN FOSTER CARE, IN A HOME, AROUND BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS AND CAN BE TRANSPORTED TO THE EAST OR WEST COAST FOR THE PERFECT FAMILY*** Meet Icelyn — Your Next Adventure Buddy! Applicants beware… Queen Icelyn is looking for her castle to call home! Icelyn is a sweet, confident, energetic 2-year-old girl weighing approximately 47 lbs who is ready to leave her past behind and find the loving forever family she deserves. Icelyn’s journey began on the streets of South Texas, where she was found wandering alone. Thankfully, a kind-hearted woman rescued her and gave her the safety, love, and care she desperately needed. Now she’s ready for the next chapter of her life — and she’s hoping it includes a family who loves adventure as much as she does! An Active Girl Looking for an Active Home Icelyn absolutely loves being outside. She loves walks, running, exploring, chasing things, and discovering what the world has to offer. She would make an amazing hiking partner and would love a family who will take her on adventures and explore new places with her. Icelyn is house trained. She is a very active dog, so she needs a home that can keep up with her energy and give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and enrichment. And when it comes to toys, Icelyn is not subtle! She loves running around with squeaky toys in her mouth, making sure everyone knows exactly where she is. She loves tennis balls, playing, jumping on trampolines, and having a good time. Dogs? Yes, Please! Icelyn loves other dogs and would prefer a home with canine friends to play with and help her burn off some of that youthful energy. As you can see in the video, she even likes to walk other dogs — or at least try to! She is confident, social, and loves having a buddy by her side. Kids? Absolutely! Icelyn loves children! She would happily spend time playing with them, helping them dig holes in the dirt — although you may want to keep an eye on those digging projects because China may be coming soon! She loves being around people and is a joy to have around. The Sweet Stuff Icelyn is house trained, treat motivated, and incredibly affectionate. She loves to: Give kisses Give hugs Go on walks Play with dogs Spend time with kids Chase things Play with tennis balls Run around with squeaky toys Be outside Explore Make people laugh She also loves to talk! Icelyn is a girl who believes communication is important. She will happily tell you all about her day, share her complaints, and explain exactly why she believes she should be fed more. • 🏃 Active mode: walks, hiking, running, playing, chasing, toys, other dogs. • 🌿 Outdoor relaxation mode: lying in the yard, watching wildlife, sniffing, observing and just enjoying being outside. Her foster says she makes you happy, and it’s easy to see why. Icelyn has a big personality, a sweetheart, and a way of making every day brighter. And yes… she will absolutely give you kisses. Is Icelyn Your Girl? Icelyn is looking for an active, loving forever home where she can be part of the family, get plenty of exercise and attention, enjoy adventures, and have room to be her wonderfully goofy, energetic self. She has already overcome so much. Now she just needs someone to show her what it truly means to be home. Queen Icelyn is ready for her castle. Could your home be the one she’s been waiting for? Icelyn is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and has received a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian.   Meet Cubby – Your Adventure Buddy and Best Friend! Breed: Husky Mix | Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 50 lbs Cubby is a stunning Husky mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. After being rescued from an overcrowded backyard situation, this sweet boy has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find his forever family.   Cubby has discovered the joys of life—walks, playtime, snuggles, and, most of all, people! He’s affectionate, smart, and always seems to be trying to understand everything around him with those expressive eyes. He’s especially great with children and loves being part of a family.   An energetic and athletic pup, Cubby thrives on adventure. He loves long walks, hiking, backpacking, playing fetch, running beside a bike, and splashing in the water. If you lead an active lifestyle, Cubby might just be your perfect match. And when the day is done? He’s happy to chill on his dog bed, content just being near his people.   Cubby currently lives with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another dog buddy—or as your one-and-only if he gets plenty of exercise and enrichment.   Cubby is not just a dog—he’s a loyal companion, hiking partner, and forever friend who will bring joy, laughter, and love to your life. All he needs is a family who will give him the active, loving home he deserves.    Fostered in Tennessee   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Meet Lil Bit!! What we see is that Little Bit is an easy going girl that has melted right in to the background of the homelife of women who work from home and have 2 small dogs of their own.  She is respectful of them and is enjoying laying outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and the soft dog bed that has been offered to her.  She is crate trained and just fine.  She would love to play with the small dogs but they have refused her playful offerings.  As cute as she is, they are not interested.  The family we would love to adopt Little Bit is one that has a fenced yard and someone not gone 9 hours a day.  Shorter time gone is fine or even a work from home situation would be perfection.  She is housebroken apparently and she know how to cross her legs like a Southern Lady!   Some added weight might be good for this girl and a 55 pound healthy weight would be ideal for her.  She is a beauty.   A Husky/Shepherd mix is definitely the consensus of her breed.  She is currently 48 pounds and stunning in every way.  Please consider making this girl's Cinderella Story come true NOW!!!   Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com        PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 17, 2026, 12:09 pm

Story
Leo is a 2-3 year old, 57 pound, husky mix.  He  is a fairly calm boy...though he will have the occasional puppy burst of energy.  Leo's will sit when you ask him to, and will gladly be your co-pilot when driving - he loves car rides and will jump right in the back seat and chill out for the trip.  He is friendly with people and dogs. Personality: friendly, affectionate, fairly calm, good in car Good with: people, and dogs.  No cats for Leo. Training: knows the command for 'sit' Estimated age: approximately 2-3 years old Weight: 57 pounds Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next monthly transport.  Background: Like so many dogs, Leo's story is a sad one.  Leo spent the beginning of his life with a caring and loving owner who regularly took him to the vet and kept him inside (which is not typical for dogs in the south).  Unfortunately, Leo's owner had to move into a senior residence, so he entrusted a friend to care for his beloved dog.   Long story short, that "friend" kept Leo chained up outside without food and water.  He was so skinny when he was rescued .  He was brought to a kill shelter with a 3 day deadline for euthanasia.  Luckily we were able to pulled him out in the nick of time.  Once we had him seen by a vet we discovered that he was heartworm positive.  We paid for his treatments and are happy to announce that he is now heartworm free and he is a very happy and healthy boy!  He loves meeting new people and spreading joy like only a good boy like Leo can do!   We really want to find Leo a loving, stable home.  He must have been so confused, going from the love and safety of his original owner to being tied up and ignored outside. Story
Meet Diesel! This fun 2 year old "pitsky" is still just an overgrown puppy at heart. "Too much dog" for most people, he is probably smarter, faster, and more athletic than you and knows it, and has a great sense of humor about it. He responds well to training and knows his commands but likes to test to see what he can get away with. He likes to play rough with other dogs and can be overwhelming for most dogs but would be a fun playmate for a big girl dog who likes to wrestle and chase him but still can hold her own and let him know she's the boss. He loves to bark in the face of his best doggie friend at the shelter until she yells back at him and then poke her and run away laughing like a misbehaving toddler. He's been on overnights in the past with staff members and was well-behaved and enjoyed spending time in a home, and we would love for him to get back into a real home soon! If you want a hilarious goofy best friend that will keep you on your toes, please submit an application to meet our resident class clown, Diesel Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 52 Age: 2yrs 10mths 1wks

Story
Benji is a uniquely adorable mixed breed, a very interesting "accidental" combination between a husky mom and a shih tzu/pomeranian dad. But he looks more like a giant Westie, 42lbs full grown and a little over a year old. With his expressive eyes, scruffy whiskers and alert quizzical expressions, he looks like he should be a movie star but he is more of an introvert and wouldn't enjoy the well-deserved fame. He wasn't socialized much outside of his previous household so is a very skittish guy with new people and situations. But once he feels safe and comfortable he's a sweet playful guy, still a puppy at heart. He loves other dogs and feels much safer in their presence, so a home with another doggie buddy is a must for him to feel safe. He does shed and would not be suitable for allergy sufferers, and has been neutered and updated on shots. Please submit an application to meet him Primary Color: White Weight: 42 Age: 1yrs 11mths 0wks
