Marti has touched so many people's hearts and she is very special to us. Marti is one of our shelter fire survivors. She spent weeks in the hospital recovering from severely burned paws, enduring painful dressing changes and restricted movement. As you can imagine, it has been more than a physical recovery but an emotional and psychological recovery for our resilient girl. Her paws are now healed and she is able to walk unrestricted again. Marti would do best in a home where she can get alot of outdoor walks and hikes or yard play, someone who is home alot to keep her company, keep her mind active and keep her on a regular schedule. Marti is super smart as well - she has had basic training and agility training certificates with her previous owner and needs to have things to challenge her brain to keep her busy. She loves to play with toys and will hop on her toys and will thrown them up and play on her own. She was originally surrendered when grandchildren moved into the home and there was an issue with resource guarding of toys & food so Marti would do best in a home without kids. We know there is someone out there who can understand our girl and give her the love and structure she needs to thrive. Marti's adoption fee is $200. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.

Maverick was one of our shelter fire survivors and is now in a foster home. Maverick loves butt scratches and is walking well on leash. He isn’t super interested in playing with toys however he will play for a bit. His previous owner seemed to just let him out in the backyard and did not teach him commands or walk him much but our staff have been working with him and now Maverick knows how to sit and really enjoys taking walks in the woods. Maverick is anxious around other dogs so he would do best in a home as an only dog. He is sensitive about anything done around his neck but we have been working with him on this and able to put a collar/leash on. He will need an owner who is experienced with working breeds and will continue to work with him on this to get him comfortable with that and to give him the structure he needs. Maverick would love to have someone give him a chance to have a home of his own. Maverick is about 9 years old and 44 pounds. Please help Maverick find a loving family of his own. Maverick's adoption fee is $100. This also covers all age-appropriate shots, spay/neuter, vetting & microchipping.

Meet Lil Bit!! What we see is that Little Bit is an easy going girl that has melted right in to the background of the homelife of women who work from home and have 2 small dogs of their own. She is respectful of them and is enjoying laying outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and the soft dog bed that has been offered to her. She is crate trained and just fine. She would love to play with the small dogs but they have refused her playful offerings. As cute as she is, they are not interested. The family we would love to adopt Little Bit is one that has a fenced yard and someone not gone 9 hours a day. Shorter time gone is fine or even a work from home situation would be perfection. She is housebroken apparently and she know how to cross her legs like a Southern Lady! Some added weight might be good for this girl and a 55 pound healthy weight would be ideal for her. She is a beauty. A Husky/Shepherd mix is definitely the consensus of her breed. She is currently 48 pounds and stunning in every way. Meet Whisper — the sweetest, smartest little pup you’ll ever meet! This impressive Huskey mix girl is 14 weeks and 15 pounds currently, with an adult destination, estimated weight to be 40 pounds. This vibrant pupster loves everyone (dogs, cats, people… all of them) and is already learning so many commands. She knows sit, off, come, “uppy,” and even goes potty on command. This Whisper girl pup is truly brilliant.She’s playful, cuddly, sleeps well through the night for her age, and can keep up with the big dogs like a champ. She’s still teething, so tiny kiddos may want to give her a little space for now. Housebreaking is almost 100% as well. Just a little more time, and she will be the total package of house broken. Meet Snowy! With her stunning snow-white coat, piercing blue eyes, and compact 35-pound frame, Snowy is proof that great things come in smaller packages! At just 1 year old, this adorable Husky mix has all the beauty of the breed in a perfectly manageable size. Snowy's world was turned upside down when her family was forced to give her up after their landlord threatened eviction if they kept her. Wanting the best for her, they made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her, and we were happy to step in and help her find the forever home she deserves. Despite all the changes, Snowy has remained a sweet, friendly girl. She lived with a toddler in her previous home, enjoys being around people, gets along well with other dogs, and has even done great with her temporary foster's cat!
