Marti has touched so many people's hearts and she is very special to us. Marti is one of our shelter fire survivors. She spent weeks in the hospital recovering from severely burned paws, enduring painful dressing changes and restricted movement. As you can imagine, it has been more than a physical recovery but an emotional and psychological recovery for our resilient girl. Her paws are now healed and she is able to walk unrestricted again. Marti would do best in a home where she can get ALOT of outdoor walks and hikes and yard play, someone who is home alot to keep her company, keep her mind active and keep her on a regular schedule. Marti is super smart as well - she has had basic training and agility training certificates with her previous owner and needs to have things to challenge her high energy brain to keep her busy. She loves to play with toys and will hop on her toys and will thrown them up and play on her own. She was originally surrendered when grandchildren moved into the home and there was an issue with resource guarding of toys & food so Marti would do best in a home without kids. We know there is someone out there who can understand our girl and give her the love and structure she needs to thrive. Marti's adoption fee is $200. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.

Maverick was one of our shelter fire survivors and is now in a foster home. Maverick loves butt scratches and is walking well on leash. He isn’t super interested in playing with toys however he will play for a bit. His previous owner seemed to just let him out in the backyard and did not teach him commands or walk him much but our staff have been working with him and now Maverick knows how to sit and really enjoys taking walks in the woods. Maverick is anxious around other dogs so he would do best in a home as an only dog. He is sensitive about anything done around his neck but we have been working with him on this and able to put a collar/leash on. He will need an owner who is experienced with working breeds and will continue to work with him on this to get him comfortable with that and to give him the structure he needs. Maverick would love to have someone give him a chance to have a home of his own. Maverick is about 9 years old and 44 pounds. Please help Maverick find a loving family of his own. Maverick's adoption fee is $100. This also covers all age-appropriate shots, spay/neuter, vetting & microchipping.

Meet Lil Bit!! What we see is that Little Bit is an easy going girl that has melted right in to the background of the homelife of women who work from home and have 2 small dogs of their own. She is respectful of them and is enjoying laying outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and the soft dog bed that has been offered to her. She is crate trained and just fine. She would love to play with the small dogs but they have refused her playful offerings. As cute as she is, they are not interested. The family we would love to adopt Little Bit is one that has a fenced yard and someone not gone 9 hours a day. Shorter time gone is fine or even a work from home situation would be perfection. She is housebroken apparently and she know how to cross her legs like a Southern Lady! Some added weight might be good for this girl and a 55 pound healthy weight would be ideal for her. She is a beauty. A Husky/Shepherd mix is definitely the consensus of her breed. She is currently 48 pounds and stunning in every way. There is something unforgettable about Ozzy. Maybe it's his stunning crystal blue eyes set against his black and cream colored fuzzy coat and unique markings that make everyone stop for a second look, or maybe it's the joyful, laidback affectionate personality that shines through the moment you meet him. At just 3 months old and 18 pounds, this Huskey/Aussie mix boy has his whole life ahead of him, and he's searching high and low with Critter Cavalry to find the home he deserves. OZZY was born around the middle to first of May and we know nothing about his parents. He was dropped off at a small rural Tennessee shelter and immediately the shelter director called Critter Cavalry. He and his brother Rye (they look nothing alike) were picked up the next day and brought in to foster care with a family that has a 13 year and a 3 year old child. Ozzy is the brother is as laidback as a Sloth. He just reads the room and then decides what his next move will be. We love his charm and his lase faire attitude about life. We think he must have Husky and Aussie in him but somehow the hustle and bustle of both of those breeds just never made it through to his personality DNA. He is wonderful with other dogs and the kids and he would be good with a cat or two if needed. He is a real snuggler that sleeps alot and navigates his daily hours with no real plan of action. He just takes life as it comes. He is being crate trained and learning the leash. He is not housebroken yet as he has only been in our care for 2 weeks. Potty training is a process. > His foster family has quickly discovered what a wonderful dog he is. During early morning hours and late afternoon you will find Ozzy happily running through the yard before settling down for a well-earned nap beside his people.
