Suki is a Husky we pulled from the Texas shelter, where she was in danger of being euthanized. After arrival, we discovered that she needed surgery for ingrown eyelids. We allowed Suki to settle into her new foster home before she underwent the surgery. After healing from her surgery, Suki's beautiful eyes are wide open now, Suki is 49lbs. We're unsure of Suki's exact age, and neither are the vets. She's between 4 to 7 years old. Regardless of her age, she has her energy, loves her toys and loves to play with the resident dog but also loves to take naps in her bed, and don't bother her during her beauty sleep ? Suki is housebroken and doesn't require a crate. Walking nicely on a leash unless she's distracted by a rabbit She gets along well with most dogs she encounters on her walks. She knows the stay command. We never tested her with cats. She loves to be loved and to give kisses when she feels like doing it. Sadly, Suki was bred too many times, resulting in some sensitivity in her belly and lower back. Consequently, she dislikes people touching these areas and prefers to initiate affection on her own terms. Due to this, we don't recommend young children to be around her, and she would be better suited to older adopters. She was left alone in a house in Kentucky when her family moved away, leaving her and her mother Suzanne, to fend for themselves. I was found as a stray, and it turns out my owner abandoned me at their home when they moved out! I am about 2 years old (born around 7/27/2022), weigh about 51 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am ed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. She has gotten along with every dog she has met, but small animals and cats probably aren’t a good idea. Evelyn does have a bite history, but has done very well in her time with us. She will need a large yard with a 6 ft fence. and likes to be outside most of the day. She may prefer a doggie door so she is free to roam. Tali is probably Siberian Husky but is possible she has other breeds we do not know about! It seems to be that she won't get bigger than 60 pounds but it is hard to know for sure. Tali is fun, loving, and is always eager for a friend or doggy to play with. Tali has started crate training and is doing really well as long as she is kept on a schedule. She tries really hard to make it to the potty pad every time or wait until she goes outside but as puppies go she will still need some extra training.
