Story
Meet Evelyn, this pretty girl is 2 years old and 45lbs. She walks well on leash and crate trained. She has gotten along with every dog she has met, but small animals and cats probably aren’t a good idea. Evelyn does have a bite history, but has done very well in her time with us. She will need a large yard with a 6 ft fence. and likes to be outside most of the day. She may prefer a doggie door so she is free to roam. Evelyn is a headstrong girl, and does better when she can be free to spend her time roaming outside. Interested in becoming a forever home for Evelyn the Husky? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Evelyn the Husky. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Evelyn the Husky the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Meet Tali! This 21 lb blue eye stunner is only 16 weeks old and has as beautiful of a personality as she does eyes! Tali is probably Siberian Husky but is possible she has other breeds we do not know about! It seems to be that she won't get bigger than 60 pounds but it is hard to know for sure. Tali is fun, loving, and is always eager for a friend or doggy to play with. Tali has started crate training and is doing really well as long as she is kept on a schedule. She tries really hard to make it to the potty pad every time or wait until she goes outside but as puppies go she will still need some extra training. Tali is sure to be the perfect addition to any family! Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? Story
Age: 2 Years Sex: Male Size: Medium Good With Dogs: Possible Good With Cats: No Good With Children: Yes Hoagie was a day away from having to be euthanized before coming into our foster program. Hoagie is a happy go easy husky. He has had a rough few months. Hoagie was surrendered to the shelter with a fracture in his left leg. He was limping, but not in visible pain. The origins of the fracture are murky, as the owner didn’t realize there was an issue for a number of weeks. It is possible that it was a result of a gunshot wound when the owner had his home broken into and was himself shot. Whatever the origin of Hoagie’s injury, by the time he arrived at Sedona Shepherd, the bones were already in the healing process. The surgeon who physical examined Hoagie and his X-rays, determined that it would be best not to have surgery. Her recommendation was continued rest and medication for the next 3 to 4 weeks to allow the leg to continue to heal. Hoagie is now enjoying his time in one of our foster homes. After a day of explaining the rules (furniture is not for marking), Hoagie settled in nicely to his home and is respecting his boundaries. Hoagie is so excited to meet new people. We try to keep the enthusiasm down to a minimum so he doesn’t hurt his leg. Hoagie is friendly with young and old people alike. According to his shelter records, Hoagie did live with another dog. He appears to want to greet and possibly play with other dogs, but we have to hold off on the play until he is fully healed. If you like to have a fun dog, then Hoagie will be a perfect match. He is located in northern New Jersey and available for adoption. For more information on Hoagie please reach out to us at contact@sedonashepherd.com or fill out an online adoption application.   Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary's mission is to rescue adult and senior German Shepherd and Shepherd mixes and find them loving homes.  All of our dogs are fully vetted and up to date on all their shots Our adoption area includes New Jersey, Delaware Valley, Manhattan, Southern New York and Eastern Pennsylvania.  We may adopt to Connecticut depending on circumstances.  Please visit our website at www.sedonashepherd.com.
