Story
Remy is a 4 year old rott husky mix. He is a great dog. I have had him since he was a puppy and he’s been the absolute best dog. I am only rehoming because I am going thru a divorce and unfortunately I am having to move back into my parents house and am unable to take him. He is crate trained, house broken, good with other dogs and cats as long as he has time to warm up to them. I just want to see him go to a nice loving home as it breaks my heart that I even have to do this.

Story
Hello I'm Daphne! I am a 2-year-old Husky mix!  I am a sweet goofy girl with an easy-going temperament. I am a pretty quiet girl and even though I look like a Husky I don't sound like one. I enjoy playing with my dog friends and I love people. I am house trained and know some basic commands. I would love to find my forever home to take me on walks and snuggle with me at night!  If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Daphne is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.July 8, 2024, 10:25 am

Story
CHLOE'S DNA test came back 64% Husky, 24% Alaskan Malamute, 5% GSD and 4% Samoyed. She is 45 pounds, and we believe about 4 years old. She has a TYPICAL Husky personality! Except for the occasional "zoomies", she is calm and reserved. She is exceptionally smart, too. Not sure I've heard of many Huskies wanting to play "fetch", but she LOVES LOVES LOVES the ball! SOMEONE MUST LOVE HUSKIES AND THEIR PERSONALITY!! PREVIOUS HUSKY OWNERSHIP REQUIRED. If you've never had a Husky, you might not understand the complete love some of us have for the breed, even with their sometimes challenging traits. Chloe's history is very heartbreaking and worse than most. But like most dogs, her resilience has seen her through. She has finished her heartworm treatment and will be available to adopt in the next month or so. To learn more about Chloe and ask about adopting her, please email can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

Story
Maui is a sweet and friendly dog who is always eager to meet new people and loves getting pets!Reason for foster: Heartworm Positive and Mobility IssuesFoster Time Frame: 4+ Weeks Foster Care Plan: Maui has recently seen a specialist regarding his rear-limb issues and it is suspected that he had a previous pelvic injury. He appears to be healing well and our medical team is currently working on a plan to continue that process. Maui is also heartworm positive and will go home with medication in preparation for his upcoming heartworm treatments. Maui will have regular rechecks with the medical team. Maui will need to be monitored while he is outside to ensure that he does not overheat. He will also need to have his activity limited and should avoid running, jumping, and playing with other dogs. He has been approved for short leash walks only. When walking on slick surfaces, Maui will have traction boots to wear to ensure he does not slip. We will provide a medical consultation at pickup so that you are prepared to take great care of this sweet boy. I am available through our Foster to Adopt program. This program helps pets awaiting or under medical treatment be placed in with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If interested in fostering through our Foster to Adopt program, sign up to be a foster online and express your interest in Maui. We can schedule a pickup and meet and greet appointment. https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/
