Meet Dakota! She is an 8 year old Siberian husky with a sweet soul and a beautifully expressive personality. She weighs about 60 lbs, is crate trained, and does well with other dogs. Dakota is gentle, affectionate, playful and loves adventure. She came into foster rescue as she was not able to join along with her previous family in a move to California. Now she’s ready for a forever family who will give her the love and stability that she deserves. She is energetic and loves to be outside, going on runs, hikes and walks. She is very calm and relaxed when we’re at home, but always gets excited for adventure! Dakota would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal and cheerful pup.

Story
Buddy is a healthy, happy 1.5-year-old Husky mix weighing about 55 pounds. With a zest for life and a heart full of love, he&#39s always ready for fetch, hikes, and outdoor fun! He&#39s the perfect mix of playful energy and loyal companionship. Buddy gets along with most dogs when introduced properly, though he prefers smaller playgroups. He&#39s potty trained, food-motivated, and a quick learner--just bring treats and watch him shine! Buddy&#39s still figuring out how he feels about cats and kids, but he&#39s open to meeting them with a patient, loving family. He&#39s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to go. Found as a stray in a local park, Buddy is now searching for a forever home where he can feel safe, have fun, and be part of the family. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Buddy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.September 7, 2025, 11:31 pm

Story
Mila was dropped off with me by an extended family member and was supposed to only stay a week but her owner has not been responding, hasn’t made any plans for her continued care and it’s been almost a month. I have a puppy and can’t afford another dog. She will be 2 in April and is a bit nervous around new people (especially men). She is super sweet, quiet and comes when called! She has a lot of energy in the mornings so daily walks or a big yard is ideal. Mila is very protective so slow introductions or a one dog household would be best.

Story
Meet Wallen, a 1-year-old husky mix who is one of those dogs you remember long after you meet him. He is an easygoing, sweet boy who truly enjoys being around people and would do great with a family. Wallen has his own unmistakable style thanks to the fur along his back that naturally sticks up like a mullet-meets-mohawk, which is exactly how he ended up with his name after reminding us of Morgan Wallen’s signature hairstyle. He is fun without being wild, affectionate without being over the top, and the kind of dog who fits right in while still managing to stand out.The adoption fee for this pet is $75. This cost includes spay/neuter, microchip, and all vaccines.March 7, 2026, 4:34 pm

Luke Meet Luke, a gentle dog who can be a bit timid at first but truly likes being around people. He may take a moment to feel comfortable, but once he does, his calm and kind nature shines through. Luke would do best in a patient home where he can build confidence at his own pace and enjoy the quiet companionship of people he trusts. The adoption fee for this pet is $75. Story
Ares is a 7 year old male husky. He loves to play with other dogs. He is a very loud boy who loves running around and letting you know how he's feeling. He is part of a bonded pair in a major way. His birthday is January 17, 2019. His "sister" has been with him since he was a puppy. They were both acquired in Oceanside, California from two separate breeders. They are emotionally attached and love each other. Both are crate trained although the first few nights in a new home will be the roughest for them. Ares and Skye need a home with a backyard. They need room to run and play which they cannot do in an apartment. They are both very good with kids and non aggressive. Neither one of them really plays with toys though they may act like it from time to time. Bottom line is Ares is a really good boy and Skye is a really good girl. They both have been through enough these last 7 years and deserve a place to run around and be loved on by a beautiful family.
