Story
Hi, I’m Trevor! I’m a 1 year old Husky mix weighing in at 43 pounds, and I’m everything you’d want in a fun-loving companion. I’ve got a goofy personality, tons of energy, and I love to play and cuddle. I’m confident, affectionate, curious, and I know how to sit like a good boy! I get along great with other dogs, kids, and even some cats. I walk well beside you on a leash (though I might pull now and then), and I’m always up for a game or some snuggles. I do jump up when I’m excited, but that’s just my way of saying I’m happy to see you!

Story
Amos got to us after he had to go from the animal shelter to the vet clinic for an amputation. We don’t know why his front left leg was so damaged. We do know that the night of his surgery he managed to rip out all of his stitches and laid his head on the vet tech’s shoulder while getting wrapped for repair surgery the next morning. He is not quite a typical Husky as he’s very laid back. He doesn’t use his voice near as often as most Huskies although he does have a little growl in his conversational voice which isn’t nearly as off-putting as it might sound.Amos has great house manners, does fine on a leash, and would be a perfect go-everywhere boy for his family. He adores his humans and is very loving and outgoing. He is a social boy and meeting new people and animals is easy for him. He’s fine with cats and seems to ignore the livestock kids at his foster home.He is very engaged with his humans and loves to be as close when he doesn’t want to spend time watching the world go by from his perch on the porch. He will often ask to sleep outside but is willing to do what his human feels is best.Amos is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and current with flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Meet Robin! Robin is a handsome young Husky who is looking for a new family through no fault of his own. A change in his family’s lease means they are no longer able to keep him, and they are hoping to find him a loving home where he can continue being the wonderful companion they know and love. Born around December 2024, Robin is approximately 60 pounds and has a fantastic temperament. He has done well with dogs, cats, children, babies, strangers, and other animals, making him a great candidate for many different types of families. Robin is housebroken and crate trained and is comfortable spending time both inside the home and outside in the backyard. He is neutered, vaccinated, and has no known ongoing medical needs or history of biting. Robin’s family describes him as an amazing dog with a wonderful temperament. They would love nothing more than to see him safely settled into a home where he can be loved as part of the family. If you’re looking for a friendly, social pup who already has some great household manners, Robin may be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️ Complete and online application today at: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. Story
Montana is a 2 1/2 yr old, 56 lb. Husky/German Shepherd mix who was surrender to a city shelter by his owner. After a few months of being looked over by families, he was taken in by a Legacy Humane Society foster. He's now enjoying the good life while he waits to be adopted by that special someone.  Unfortunately, Montana wasn't treated the best in his previous home but is still as sweet and gentle as can be. He needs a home without cats but could get along nicely with dogs (meet and greet encouraged). He walks well on a leash and will thrive with a family that can continue to provide love, structure, and encouragement.  Montana is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He tested positive for heartworms and is being treated via the slow-kill method. This doesn't require rest, restriction and doesn't come with the potential side effects of traditional treatment. If you're interested in meeting Montana, please apply online and we'll be in touch: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society  We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Story
We need a new foster or a forever home for this EXTREMELY sweet boy!!! He is very playful! And very affectionate. He literally melts in your arms and loves to cuddle and sleep in the bed! He is also crate trained! He responds to the commands “outside”, and “bed” when he is to be in his crate. We also have his crate (free of charge) to anyone that is able to take him! We only originally kept him due to the last pup in an accident litter and weren’t able to home him big now are moving and are in DESPERATE NEED of a home QUICK-(reason for FREE listing) Apollo would be a GREAT addition to any family w kids, other animals to play with, and a yard to run!
