Story
Our Coby is an AKC-registered Siberian Husky, born on October 8, 2020, with a coat color of brown and white. We acquired him from an AKC Husky breeder. He is a very beautiful, lovely, healthy, and gentle dog. Coby is home-trained and crate-trained. This is a nice, friendly breed. He never assaults or hurts people. He likes playing tug-of-war and tag games. We love Coby so much and have had many happy times. But unfortunately, due to the severe allergies of my children, we are so sad and heartbroken to decide to rehome our lovely Coby. We are now looking forward to finding a nice family and ideal home to adopt our Coby, with time to dedicate to him and experience with active breeds.

Story
Hi, I’m Trevor! I’m a 1 year old Husky mix weighing in at 43 pounds, and I’m everything you’d want in a fun-loving companion. I’ve got a goofy personality, tons of energy, and I love to play and cuddle. I’m confident, affectionate, curious, and I know how to sit like a good boy! I get along great with other dogs, kids, and even some cats. I walk well beside you on a leash (though I might pull now and then), and I’m always up for a game or some snuggles. I do jump up when I’m excited, but that’s just my way of saying I’m happy to see you!

Story
Hi, I’m Chewbarka. I’m a 2-year-old husky weighing about 70 pounds, and I’ve got a big heart to match my size. I’m friendly, affectionate, and enjoy being around people, especially kids. I also do well with other dogs, so I’d fit right into a home with canine companions. I’m curious and playful, and I love having something to keep me engaged. I’m still working on my manners a bit, but I’m a smart boy and eager to learn. I walk well alongside you and enjoy getting out for fresh air and adventure. I’m not a fan of cats, so I’d do best in a home without them. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s ready to be part of the family, I might just be your guy.

Story
Hi, I’m Esther! I’m a 1 year-old husky mix weighing about 58 pounds, and I’m a sweet, gentle girl who’s just waiting for the right family to help me shine. I can be a little shy at first, but once I’m comfortable, my affectionate, curious personality really comes out, especially if treats are involved (I’m very treat motivated!). I do well with other dogs and kids, enjoy attention, and walk nicely beside you while still learning a few leash skills. We’re unsure how I feel about cats, but I’m well-behaved, loving, and ready to be a loyal companion to someone who’ll give me patience, kindness, and a cozy place to call home.

Story
Amos got to us after he had to go from the animal shelter to the vet clinic for an amputation. We don’t know why his front left leg was so damaged. We do know that the night of his surgery he managed to rip out all of his stitches and laid his head on the vet tech’s shoulder while getting wrapped for repair surgery the next morning. He is not quite a typical Husky as he’s very laid back. He doesn’t use his voice near as often as most Huskies although he does have a little growl in his conversational voice which isn’t nearly as off-putting as it might sound.Amos has great house manners, does fine on a leash, and would be a perfect go-everywhere boy for his family. He adores his humans and is very loving and outgoing. He is a social boy and meeting new people and animals is easy for him. He’s fine with cats and seems to ignore the livestock kids at his foster home.He is very engaged with his humans and loves to be as close when he doesn’t want to spend time watching the world go by from his perch on the porch. He will often ask to sleep outside but is willing to do what his human feels is best.Amos is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and current with flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Meet Penny Penny is a 1-year-old (DOB 04/18/2024), 33 lb sweetheart who was surrendered to a city shelter when her owner had too many pets to care for. After spending a couple of months there, she was rescued by her foster family and is now enjoying the comforts of home while she waits for her forever family. Penny is a calm, polite girl with a gentle nature. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is kind and easygoing with people. She is fully crate trained and appreciates having her own safe space to relax. Penny is still building her confidence, including learning to walk nicely on a leash, and would thrive in a home that can provide consistency and routine. She also has the sweetest little quirks—Penny loves using her stuffies as pillows and will happily snack on popcorn, making her the perfect cozy companion for movie nights. Penny is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. If you’re looking for a well-mannered, affectionate girl to join your family, she may be the perfect fit. Her adoption fee is $275. Apply to adopt: http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
