Story
Balerion, a spirited and jovial husky mix, boasts the quintessential husky personavibrant, intelligent, and endlessly charming. His thick fur, expressive eyes, and boundless energy are a testament to his breed's renowned traits. Balerion is more than just a pet; he's a well-trained companion who brings joy and dynamism into any setting. His eagerness to please and quick wit make him responsive to commands, though his husky heritage ensures he's always ready for a playful challenge or a brisk adventure. He thrives in an environment where his mental and physical energies are regularly engaged, embodying the essence of fun and companionship. Given his pack-oriented nature, Balerion seeks a home where he can bond with another canine friend, ensuring he has the companionship that is vital to his wellbeing. His prey drive suggests a home without feline members or other small animals. Balerion's boisterous spirit is well-suited to a family with older children who can match his energy and enthusiasm for life. As a young dog, he continues to blossom with ongoing training and socialization, promising to grow into an even more remarkable companion. Balerion is not just looking for a home; he's looking for a family ready to embrace his lively husky spirit, commit to his continued development, and explore the boundless joy of sharing their lives with this extraordinary dog. DOB: 04/02/2023 CRATE TRAINING: Great! HOUSETRAINING: Great! Story
Meet EVA GREENE ** NEEDS ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME ** ++ No apartments. Must have a fenced yard. ++ NAME: Eva Greene AGE/GENDER: 3 year old female BREED: Husky mix TEMPERAMENT: Shy, gentle, loving WEIGHT: 50ish pounds HOUSE TRAINING: Good. CRATE TRAINING: Good. OTHER DOGS: Eva loves other dogs and does require another dog in the home. CATS: No due to her breed. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $550 HEALTH: Eva is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. HISTORY: Prior to coming to us, Eva spent the first few years of her life chained up, so she's learning how to trust people and live inside- and she's doing great. She has come out of her shells so much. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find her a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Eva is a gentle, sweet, adult husky mix who is looking for a quiet home with another dog. She really understands dogs more than people, so she takes cues and comfort from them and it helps her learn, trust and grow. Eva has come such a long way since she arrived, especially as she's discovered how nice and comfortable a home can be and she no longer wants to be outside in inclement weather or left alone for long. She does however enjoy the yard very much and as she's used to hanging out and enjoying the scenery, she will need a fenced yard for her continued happiness. She is playful and she prefers other friendly dogs and people to be calm. An intense, high-energy household would be difficult for her, but she'd love one where Netflix and chill or walks and hikes are a part of the routine. She is a gorgeous dog who sheds like a maniac as huskies tend to so be aware of the need for brushing! In all, Eva is a gem and we can't wait till someone sees her the way we do! All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar (or a harness, if necessary), depending on each dog's particular needs. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup! Please visit our website www.motleyzoorescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
4 year old female husky. I’ve had her for her entire life, but due to some unforeseen circumstances we need to rehome. She’s very good with kids, and can be a bit competitive with other dogs, so ideally a single dog home. Don’t recommend a house with cats because she is rough with them. She loves hikes, but will need to be retrained for more difficult ones as we haven’t been able to go on one for a while. She’s also very quiet for a husky and doesn’t howl very often. She loves tennis balls and loves to play keep away and fetch.

Story
If you're ready to meet your very best friend and adventure buddy, your wait is over! Marina is a super friendly, spunky, and wonderful 1-year-old Husky mix and she's ready to share life with you. Marina enjoys playing with toys, playing tag with other dogs, going for hikes and walks, and snuggling up to her humans when it's time to nap. She will even use your arm as a pillow! Marina is looking for a family that can keep up with her pep and be able to provide her with plenty of daily exercise, mental enrichment, and socialization. Marina does awesome with other dogs but can get overly excited and have a hard time settling down. And resident dogs should be able to match her playstyle. and energy. Marina will likely do best in a home without cats. Marina can be jumpy and rowdy when she's playing or overly excited and is looking for a home with just older, dog-experienced kids, closer to their teen years. Due to her energy levels, Marina is not a fit for an apartment or condo. If you're ready to welcome home this special girl, send in an adoption application today! *Marina is currently in a foster home and not located in our shelter.#activelifestyle #playful

Story
If you're a fan of energetic, lively, and enthusiastic pups, then Kenai may be your match! This 1-year-old Husky is full of bouncy energy and ready to live a life of hiking, running, exploring, and playing. Kenai is looking for breed experienced adopters who can give him all the daily exercise and enrichment he needs to stay happy and healthy. Kenai does well with other dogs, though he hasn't lived with any before. He also hasn't lived with cats. Any introductions to resident pets should be done slowly. Kenai will likely do best with older kids (12+) who are comfortable around large, jumpy dogs. Due to his breed and energy levels, Kenai is not a good fit for an apartment or condo environment and would benefit from a fenced yard to run around. If you're ready to welcome home this fun-loving pup, make an adoption appointment to meet him today! #activelifestyle #playful

Story
Juni is 1.5 years old, and she is the loveliest girl. Unfortunately, I've developed some bad allergy/respiratory issues after having COVID a few months ago, and have to give her away. I've raised her from when she was 10 weeks. She's very energetic and playful, loves chasing everything that moves, and wants to be everyone's friend and playmate. She will require a fenced yard, preferably on the large side, as she is not too fond of being indoors for long periods. She was house trained as a pup, but has spent most of her time in our backyard since. She will also need plenty of exercise. She is not very vocal, unlike most huskies, and barks rarely, and never without reason. She's never shown any leash/fence aggression, and never even responds when other dogs are aggressive towards her, except to try playing with them. She loves food and will eat anything you give her, making her easy to train with treats. She knows all basic commands like Sit, Down, Wait, Drop It, Leave It and others.
