NAME: JOURI GENDER: FEMALE BREED: FORMOSAN MOUNTAIN DOG MIX COLOR: BLACK AGE: 8 MONTHS OLD WEIGHT: 28lbs SPAY OR NEUTER: Yes MICROCHIP: Yes If you would like to give JOURI by a forever home, please go to www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application with home photos. Jouri is a sweet and happy girl! She loves her humans and good with dogs of all sizes. Jouri and her siblings are now in a foster home with many big and small dogs. They are trained at a very young age to be off leash around the mountain where they live in. She is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home. Jouri started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining. She rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands. Jouri is a wonderful dog and will make a good family dog. Jouri’s Rescue Story Jouri’s mom, Journey, was abandoned on the streets. She was pregnant and struggling to find enough food to keep her going. A kind lady that lives in the area would often bring her food. However, she could not give her a home. She reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help her. They quickly rushed to rescue her and took her to the vet for a complete health checkup. The next day on May 28, 2023, she gave birth to 4 puppies. Jouri and her siblings were able to spend their first month with Journey before she got adopted. Jouri had a thorough medical checkup. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests. Please give Jouri a loving home where she will never be left behind again. NAME: VANNA GENDER: FEMALE BREED: FORMOSAN MOUNTAIN DOG MIX COLOR: BROWN AGE: 2 YEARS OLD WEIGHT: 36lbs SPAY OR NEUTER: Yes MICROCHIP: Yes If you would like to give Vanna a forever home, please go to www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application with home photos. Vanna is a sweet and shy girl! Vanna loves her humans, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. She has a good temperament and lots of love to give. Vanna has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first. She is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home. She rides well in the car and can wait patiently while her foster mom runs errands. We are looking for a committed family that will continue to train & socialize her to help her build confidence. VANNA’s Rescue Story Poor Vanna and her siblings (Vannette, Vannetti, and Vannette) were living as stray dogs in the mountain. They were rescued by a volunteer of a TNR rescue group. The rescue has a temporary rundown place for the dogs. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes. However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life. Vanna had a thorough medical checkup. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on her blood tests. Story
Marley is an incredible dog who is extremely affectionate, playful, and protective. She’s 5 years young and enjoys walks and treats! She’s house trained and will ring the bell (on the door) if she needs to go to the bathroom. Marley has lived with another dog in the past but is currently the only pet in the house. She’s selective with new dogs but once she feels comfortable, she loves to play and be chased. She rather play with smaller dogs because I notice she gets tense around bigger breeds. Our house has never been robbed because she is the best alarm system. Perfect fit for a kid free home or much older kids (7 and up) because she’s skeptical around toddlers. She is crate trained. No small or major issues so far. She’s registered and vaccinated but not up to date. Marley is around 42lbs. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Story
Lab Mix Male, neutered 35 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Levi was picked up as a stray in Stockton, CA. One of his front legs had an elbow fracture that wasn’t attended to. The tendons were seized up in the fracture, so he couldn’t move his other joint either. It's likely that he was hit by a car at some point. He wasn’t well cared for before arriving at the shelter, but he was still the sweetest dog - loving everybody. Because of his bad leg, he needed a rescue group to take him in, so the shelter called us. We took him to the vet to have his leg amputated and he became a whole new dog - loving the freedom of not having to lug around that useless limb. Unfortunately, he has severe osteoarthritis in his hips. The surgeon thinks his previous injury damaged the blood supply to his hips. He needs to stay thin and active with low impact exercise. Luckily, he loves to get daily exercise! You wouldn’t guess that his hips are bad watching him run around. He will be need to on lifelong arthritis treatment. He currently gets monthly injections of Librela and Adequan and a daily joint supplement. No surgery is recommended on his hips at this time, but that might change in the future. Levi loves going for walks and going jogging. He is a bit leash reactive when other dogs are pretty close, but when they are across the street, he doesn't react and has learned "look" to get a treat and focus on his foster mom. Levi lived with a large dog in his foster home for eight months and did well with him. Levi now entertains himself with chew toys and stuffed Kongs when he's home alone and does well by himself. Fetch is Levi's favorite game in the backyard or the house and he is good about bringing it back and dropping it. At home care is easy with Levi, as he easily allows ear cleaning, nail clipping, brushing, teeth brushing, monthly injections and getting a bath. He loves to cuddle up next to people on the couch and in bed. He has met a lot of strangers of all ages while out for walks and at the adoption center and does very well with everyone. Bikes, skateboards, canes, hats, etc. don't bother him. Levi is potty trained using a dog door. Levi is mouthy when he is in a playful mood. The mouthiness is gentle and is easily redirected to a chew toy. He has gotten a lot less mouthy the longer he has been in his foster home. Levi has shown some prey drive tendencies in the backyard, so he probably wouldn't do well in a home with cats. He also shows some barrier reactivity with the neighbor's dog, and is still working on that behavior. If you are looking for a super sweet, smart, resilient dog and are up for continuing his training and arthritis meds, Levi might be the dog for you. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Levi, contact: nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com

Story
Christmas family. Adorable Charity Noelle and Jingle were dumped in the back of a store. So much for the Christmas spirit of kindness. They were cold covered in dirt and nervous and the shelter took them in. We rescued them from the distant shelter. The two females are more out-going. Noelle seems to be the top puppy. Both are doing great got baths lovable playful and now very happy at their foster home. More info. to come as they grow and learn. Pups are not available til after 8 weeks old and they get their vet care. They most likely will grow up to be large adults. Best they get a home with a fenced backyard and active guardian for daily long walks and exercise. Update: Both pups are doing great at their foster home. Learning quick. Smart and playful. Both are learning to go out to yard for potty time and learning to take turns for attention. Noelle takes time to settle at night to sleep while Charity goes to crate and sleeps right away. Both are friendly and social. Been meeting many new people who visit during the Christmas break. They are curious of new sounds and sights and comfortable. Smart pups. Story
I am sad to have to write that I am looking for a good home for my dog Dibs. He loves people. He is about 5-6 years old. He lives at my moms, but I moved into a small shared condo about 3 years ago and couldn't bring him with me. I do not get over there as often as I would like to. I work full time, and a couple of other things preoccupy my time. Since then another dog moved in and most recently a toddler. My dog is treated poorly and is made to stay outside most of the day. No one wants him and he is never petted, or walked anymore. Unfortunately this has made him jealous of the other dog and the toddler. Sadly, he is the one that has to go, since I do not live there anymore 😞 I am really sad about it, but I am looking for a home where he will be treated with 1) Affection 2) Taught social skills 3) Is wanted! He is a good guy! Just wants to be loved and petted like any dog would! Here are his stats: We found him as a pup, he is some sort of Lab mix, likely Shephard?

Story
Hi! I'm Squirm, and I'm a super silly and wiggly puppy! I'm enthusiastic about everything-- treats, toys, cuddles, and of course new friends! I've made lots of new friends at the shelter (what can I say? People are just drawn to my zest for life) but I'm looking to expand my circle even further! I'm still learning about the world and all it has to offer. I could really use someone to teach me the basics. Looking for a squirmy wiggle worm in your life? Come meet me today and we'll have so much fun together! Primary Color: Black Weight: 36.5 Age: 0yrs 5mths 3wks

Story
Geronimo may show some fear with unfamiliar people initially, but beneath his apprehensive exterior lies a heart full of love and loyalty. He approaches new encounters with caution, taking his time to assess the situation before offering his trust and companionship. His foster had this to say about him:"He did good with sit & I was able to easily coax him into laying down. He is treat motivated, takes treats gently, and is very trainable. This guy is smart and picks up on things quick! He was starting to understand 'stay' just in the short time that I was working with him on his photos. He also has a really good nose!"
