Say hello to beautiful Nova! She's a very sweet 1 year old girl who we think is a Lab mix. She has a beautiful black coat with white on the tip of her nose & tail and cute white socks! They say the eyes are the window to the soul and you can see her sweetness in her soulful eyes. She's 45 pounds but we think she could easily gain another 5 pounds or so. We've posted 2 videos from the day we rescued her from the Shelter and you'll be able to see how sweet and friendly she is. Her tail goes 100 miles an hour but she's not jumpy or wild at all. Nova is living with a great Foster family who share this info: "Nova is such a good girl. She is loyal and just wants to hang with her people. She loves to go on a walk but is also happy to chill on the couch snuggled up under the blankets. She likes to play with other dogs but is also happy to just do her own thing. She can be a little timid in meeting new people but warms up quickly with kindness and some nice treats. Nova would do well in a home with other dogs but could be alright as an only dog also. We haven’t seen Nova with cats, but I suspect she would be fine with them. Nova is potty trained but might need some reminder treats in a new situation. She is up to date on vaccinations and spayed. ❤️Dahlia is a very sweet 9 month old small Shepherd & Yellow Lab mix who is 45 pounds which makes her the perfect medium sized pup. She's just joined our Rescue family and she's living in a lovely foster home on Long Island and they share that she's a very happy girl with a sweet disposition. Here's some info they've shared about her: Personality: Playful, Affectionate, Smart, Friendly and Quiet She's a great blend of playful puppy energy and wanting to hang out with the family. She adores playing in the back yard, walks, belly rubs, and cuddles. She loves to do her zoomies in the backyard and go for nice long walks in the neighborhood. Whether she’s trotting happily by your side or curling up at your feet, she brings fun and joy everywhere she goes. She gets along well with other dogs and everyone she meets. She loves making new friends, and would thrive in a home with an active family where she can be part of the daily fun and continue to learn and grow. We also think she'd love a fully fenced in yard so she can romp around and relax in the warm sunshine. Dahlia is smart, eager to please, and so ready to learn whatever her new family wants to teach her. Story
Sammy is a beautiful and regal Lab mix who is 4-5 years old and weighs approximately 70 pounds. Long Road Home rescued this sweet boy when he was lost and brought to a shelter. He was obviously owned by someone who loved him because he's a sweetheart. He's the smartest dog we have in our group and he's also a super fun boy who absolutely loves other dogs. He's living with a wonderful Foster family and loves going on adventures with them. His favorite store is Petco and he loves to sit and watch the world go by. He's such a good and obedient guy and is nice and calm. He's dreaming of being rescued by a great adopter who has a fenced in yard and another dog for him to play with. A doggie sibling isn't necessary and even a neighbor's dog would be great because he just loves to play. He gets along great with everyone he meets and acts like a 2 year old pup. He's been medically vetted and is neutered and up to date on all his vaccines so he's ready to fly. 💙Hi, I’m MATTHEW and I'm 3 months old and weigh 19 lbs. I’m a playful, curious puppy who is busy learning about the big world around me. 🐾 The nice people at the rescue don't know what breed I am, but they think I'll be medium-large to large sized when I am fully grown. I love chasing balls, chewing on bones (teething life!), and exploring anything new I can find. Being outside is so much fun- I love to sniff and stretch my puppy legs. I live with an adult dog in my Foster home and do great with him. I’m happy to play, but I’m also perfectly content entertaining myself when my foster brother wants a break. At night I’m pretty snuggly, but during the day I’m more of an independent little guy doing my puppy thing. Since I’m still just a baby, I’m looking for a home that understands puppies and is ready to help me keep learning. I’ll need patience, consistency, and time for things like house training, crate training, and basic manners. 🐾 Hi, I'm MICKY, an adorable, snuggly little guy with the softest coat and the cutest puppy belly you’ve ever seen. I’d thrive with a confident canine sibling who doesn’t mind a built-in snuggle buddy. I'm living with an awesome Foster family and their pup and I'm doing great!🐾 I can be a little quiet at first when meeting new people, but once I feel comfortable my sweet personality really shines, and it doesn't take me long! I’m incredibly loving, very gentle, and a professional cuddle bug once I know you’re my person. I absolutely love other dogs and do great with pups of all sizes. I’ve also met cats and so far I’m pretty indifferent to them. Basically, I’m just a friendly little guy trying to figure out this big world. Since I’m still a baby, I’m working on all the important puppy skills — leash walking, crate training, potty training, and basic manners. I’m learning more every day and will thrive with patience, consistency, and continued training. Meet Samdol Age: 1 year Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Labrador Retriever / Jindo Mix Color: Beige Weight: 23.4 kg (51.5 lbs) Height: 53 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Samdol was previously kept tied up as a farm guard dog. After being surrendered by his former owner, he is now ready for a fresh start with a loving family and a life of freedom.   ‍‍‍ Social with People Samdol is incredibly affectionate and friendly. He approaches not only familiar people but also strangers with ease, rubbing against them and happily accepting pets.   He loves both men and women and is gentle with children under 13. He allows full handling — you can even lift him by placing your arms under his belly. Once he feels comfortable, he’ll roll over and show his belly for rubs.   Social with Other Dogs Samdol is friendly and social with other dogs, including new ones. He enjoys greeting them and inviting them to play, especially dogs of similar size.   He handles higher-energy dogs well. If another dog makes him uncomfortable, he may give a quick “woof!” to set a boundary, but with human guidance he redirects easily and walks away.   Cats He previously lived in an environment with four cats and did not show strong reactions indoors. However, during walks he has shown some chasing instinct toward cats. Cat testing can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level Moderate energy. Samdol enjoys outdoor activities and playtime , but once exercise is done, he settles nicely and rests calmly at home.   Walks He has been walked since puppyhood and is generally comfortable on leash. Because he spent much of his life tied and hasn’t had frequent walks at the center, he can get very excited at the start of walks and may pull ahead. With consistent, structured walks in a home environment, this is expected to improve beautifully.   Additional Notes No food guarding toward people or dogs No separation anxiety — comfortable being alone Rarely barks Calm and well-behaved in a kennel Primarily outdoor potty trained   Samdol is a sweet, affectionate boy who has so much love to give.
