Adoption fee: $650Meet Firecracker — A Tiny Dog with a Big Personality!   Don’t let the name fool you— Firecracker may be just 12 lbs, but he’s bursting with charm, cuddles, and more than a little spunk. This 2 year old Maltipoo came to us from the shelter a matted mess, but thanks to a stellar grooming job, he’s now living up to his name: polished, perky, and ready to spark joy in his forever home. (Also, he's non-shedding! Great for those who have allergies or simply prefer the lack of dog fur found all over!)   From Day 1, Firecracker made himself at home—literally jumping into bed that first night and declaring himself a full-time snuggler. He wakes up bright and early (around 6am) with the pack (he's fostered with two other dogs), has breakfast, and then happily goes back to bed for a nap. On work-from-home days, he lounges near his foster mom’s feet, goes for walks, and plays with the resident dogs. When his foster is away at the office, he stays home with the pack and settles in just fine. Dinner is served between 4–6pm, and bedtime means cozying up in the human bed— right where he wants to be.   Personality-wise? Firecracker is the perfect combo of playful and cuddly. He adores his humans and wants to be near you at all times. He’s got that “Velcro dog” energy, always ready to play, explore the yard, or snuggle up. He’s pals with the two resident dogs— especially the younger one who matches his energy— and even the senior pup has shared his sacred dog bed with Firecracker (a rare honor!). He’s never shown aggression toward other dogs on walks and enjoys being part of a pack.  Firecracker LOVES walks (seriously, he practically levitates when the leash comes out), though he does pull a bit (all 12 lb of him!). He’s food-motivated, eager to please, and responds well to gentle correction. He already knows to go outside for potty breaks and could be fully house-trained with continued routine and attention.   His ideal home? A dog-savvy adopter, older kids or adults, and someone who’s ready to love, train, and snuggle. He’d be great with other playful dogs or as a solo pup soaking up all the attention.   Why adopt Firecracker? Because this little guy just wants to be loved. He’s affectionate, loyal, and full of personality. Whether he’s napping under your desk or trotting beside you on a walk, he’ll remind you daily what joy looks like in dog form.   Firecracker is tiny, but his heart is HUGE—and he's ready to light up your life.                  June 23, 2025, 1:45 pm

To be considered for adoption, pls submit an application in advance. Adoption Fee: $550 Breed: Maltese–Shih Tzu mix Age: 5 years old Weight: ~14 lbs Coat: Non-shedding Her name may be Kitten, but this 5 year old Maltese–Shih Tzu mix is 100% dog—adorably fluffy, quietly loyal, and full of surprising little joys. She was rescued from the shelter, and after a slow, careful start, she’s been blossoming into the kind of dog who makes your heart swell with every small step forward. Kitten is a gentle soul who takes her time to trust, but once she does, she becomes a loyal little shadow—especially to her favorite humans. In her current foster home, she’s built a sweet and special bond with her 10-year-old human buddy, and the two have become a devoted fetch-playing duo. She’s also warming up to younger kids and has begun seeking pets and connection on her own terms. With the people she trusts, she is affectionate, playful, and full of personality. Her daily routine is peaceful and predictable—just how she likes it. She wakes up early and heads outside for a potty break, enjoys some morning playtime, then settles into her crate for a long nap. Mealtimes are relaxed, and she has plenty of quiet time in between spurts of play and affection. Evenings are her favorite, when she gets the zoomies and enthusiastically chases toys with her favorite girl. Kitten is house-trained, sleeps calmly in her crate, and communicates when she needs to go outside. She’s playful but not demanding, cuddly but not clingy. She’s still learning to feel safe around new people and visitors, and while she’s made great strides, she’ll always do best in a calm home where her people understand that some dogs need time to feel safe. While she’s making progress around other dogs (and can ignore them on leash in the yard), she’s not comfortable sharing her space with them and is protective of her pen. Kitten must be the only pet in her home. With professional support and time, she may eventually feel more neutral around dogs, but right now she needs a home where she can feel completely secure and not have to share her space or her people. Kitten’s ideal home is quiet, structured, and patient. She doesn’t need a lot—just someone who can offer routine, security, and a lot of love on her terms. She’s not a dog for someone expecting instant affection, but for the right person, she’s a deeply rewarding companion who offers a special kind of devotion. If you’re someone who finds beauty in the quiet moments, and joy in the slow unfolding of trust, Kitten may be the perfect match. She doesn’t need fireworks. She just needs someone to see her, to give her the space she needs, and to celebrate each step she takes toward love.    June 23, 2025, 1:45 pm

To be considered for adoption, pls submit an application in advance.   Adoption fee: $800 Meet Fig — A Pocket-Sized Pup with a Heart Full of Love!   Fig is a 3–4 year old Maltipoo weighing just 8.5 lbs, and he’s as charming as they come. With his soft white non-shedding coat, playful spirit, and loyal nature, he’s the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter.   From the moment he wakes up around 8 AM, Fig is ready to be your little sidekick. He enjoys a quick morning potty break, breakfast (sometimes all at once, sometimes in rounds), and then he’s happiest just being near his person. Whether you're on the couch, at your desk, or moving room to room, Fig wants to be by your side — a classic velcro pup with a gentle heart.   Fig settled into his foster home quickly and continues to blossom every day. He may take a moment to get to know new people, but with just a little time and patience, he reveals his playful, affectionate side. One of his cutest quirks is how he sometimes shows his tiny teeth when he's excited to play — it’s all part of his fun-loving personality.   He absolutely loves toys and is always ready for a game. All it takes is one look or a tossed toy and he lights up, racing off with joy. He also enjoys chew treats and settles in happily with one when it's time to wind down.   Fig is house-trained and familiar with potty pads, making him a great fit for apartment living or homes without yards. He’s still learning some leash manners and can be a bit eager on walks, but he’s improving every day and responds well to consistency.   While Fig is incredibly affectionate, he will likely do best in a home without very young kids, simply because he can get a little mouthy when he's playing. He’s never rough or mean— just full of silly energy and enthusiasm.   Why you’ll love Fig: Snuggly, loyal, and loves being close to his people Playful and fun, especially with toys Small in size but big on personality Easy to manage and housetrained Quirky, endearing, and totally unforgettable Fig is truly a one-of-a-kind companion — sweet, silly, and always ready for love. If you're looking for a joyful, loyal little buddy who will make you smile every single day, Fig is ready to meet you.June 23, 2025, 1:45 pm

To be considered for adoption, pls submit an application in advance.     Adoption Fee: $800 Meet Moxie — The Tiny Pup with a Giant Personality! At just 9 weeks old, Moxie is already living up to his name. This fearless little Maltese–Terrier (maybe Schnauzer-ish?) mix may be small enough to fit in your hand, but he comes with a full-sized personality and a heart that’s twice as big. Rescued from the shelter, Moxie has taken to home life like a pro—and he’s ready to bring his smarts, charm, and sass to a forever family.   Moxie has a fantastic daily routine and is 99% crate trained. He sleeps soundly through the night, naps in his crate without fuss, and only makes noise when he needs a potty break—something he’s already excellent at. He knows the “go potty” command, paces to let you know he has to go, and hasn’t had an accident in weeks. Between breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Moxie fills his day with playtime, naps, and little bursts of basic training. He’s food motivated, eager to learn, and already knows sit, down, and leave it—not bad for a 9-week-old!   Social and confident, Moxie has seamlessly fit in with his foster family’s two dogs (10 and 30 lbs) and even initiated play with a visiting 50 lb pittie mix—no hesitation, just pure puppy courage. He’s not overly clingy, but he’ll circle back to check in with you in between rounds of exploring, tug-of-war, and chasing his favorite flirt pole or battery-powered ball. He hasn’t started leash walks yet due to age, but rides calmly in a sling bag and has been a hit at social outings.   The ideal home for Moxie is an active one—bonus points if there's another playful dog in the mix. He’s the kind of puppy who will keep you laughing, keep you on your toes, and keep your heart full. Whether he’s trying (and failing) to fit two tennis balls in his mouth or curling up after a good game of fetch, Moxie is unforgettable. If you’re looking for a smart, confident, and seriously adorable pup, this little rockstar is ready to make your home his stage.June 23, 2025, 5:50 pm

Story
We rescued Pascal from a crowded shelter. Named him after handsome Pedro Pascal. Pascal is gentle very sweet and friendly. Dog friendly. A little timid at first and warms up. Loves being petted and cuddles. He got his vet care at Tama Veterinary Hospital and now resting at his hero Foster Home. In a few days we will schedule his grooming. More info. and photos to come. Pascal enjoys going out to fh's backyard often and lounging. So a home with a backyard is best. Update 6/21/25: Pascal has been a sweetie with everyone but last few days he has some type of enviromental allergy with intense itching of his lower belly and under thighs. No fleas. He had a bath. He saw our vet for Cytopoint injection and is taking anti-itch pills. Also trying natural solution and will try diet change from chicken to fish or beef. Not sure what is causing the itch yet. For now when he is itchy he is annoyed and not good with being petted by foster home's 13 yrs son and tried to nip a couple of times. So for now no kids for Pascal. We hope to figure out what is causing his enviromental itching so he will relax and be happy again.June 22, 2025, 1:43 pm
