This one mostly requires toys, gentle cuddles, and an occasional reminder that outdoor playtime does, eventually, have to end. Meet Beurre Blanc, a tiny girl who came to DPS from a hoarding situation and is now sampling all the good things puppy life has to offer. She is so small, soft, and outrageously cute that her foster family jokes she must be AI-generated. But this little nose and these busy paws are very real (as are her website photos!), and so is her delightful personality. Tiny but Mighty Beurre Blanc brings a little extra sizzle to the menu. Energetic, playful, and always interested in a good game of chase, she has no trouble keeping up with the resident dog, Bosco. She enjoys cuddles, too, but first there may be a very pressing matter involving another lap around the yard. Getting Beurre Blanc back inside sometimes requires catching a tiny girl who is quite certain the party is still happening outdoors. Her foster is working on “come,” but at ten weeks old, she remains a toddler with paws and a competing agenda. Life in the Test Kitchen Beurre Blanc is very quiet in her exercise pen and does a lovely job entertaining herself with toys. When she plays with Bosco, her little vocalizations sound like buzzing bees, a miniature soundtrack to some very enthusiastic puppy games. She enjoys going outside to play, potty, and relax, and she seems equally content hanging out indoors. In her foster home, she currently grazes on kibble rather than eating at set mealtimes. Her foster has been giving her time on her own to build independence, and she has handled it well, often settling onto a dog bed to rest. She has also gotten along nicely with Bosco and could enjoy a compatible canine companion in her adoptive home. Little Paws, Big Learning Curve Beurre Blanc is making a promising start with potty training: she uses her pee pads well and usually potties promptly when taken outside. She is still a tiny baby, though, so frequent breaks, supervision, and a consistent routine will be part of helping her succeed. Their owner told us their dad was the household’s Shih Tzu. When the accidental litter arrived, the owner surrendered mom and puppies to DPS so we could care for them and find them loving homes. He has a non-shedding coat that will need regular grooming to keep him comfortable and looking his best. Underneath that fluffy exterior is a sweet young dog discovering just how much fun life can be.   From Worried to Wagging   Corned Beef arrived in his foster home feeling overwhelmed. New people, dogs, and even the resident kitty were intimidating, and he needed his foster mom beside him to feel comfortable venturing outside. Reaching hands made him flinch, and he initially wasn’t interested in eating.   Then came his grooming appointment—and quite the transformation! He was a good boy for his groom, and afterward his happier side began to emerge. Suddenly, he was seeking pets and showing his foster family the playful little personality waiting underneath all that worry.   He is still learning that hands bring kindness and that cuddling can feel wonderful. Gentle introductions, patient affection, and the chance to approach at his own pace will help him continue making progress.   Small Dog, Excellent Office Credentials   Corned Beef starts his day around 7 a.m. with a trip outside to potty, followed by breakfast. Then he reports to the home office to keep his foster mom company. His qualifications include being adorable, taking naps, and providing a compelling reason for a belly-rub break.   He has a lovely balance of youthful playfulness and the ability to settle down. Toys bring out his bouncy side, but he also enjoys lounging with his animal friends and getting some well-earned rest.   Friends With Paws—and One Very Affectionate Cat   Corned Beef has gone from being unsure of his foster siblings to following the resident dog, Rhyme, around and playing with her and the toys. He also enjoys relaxing with the older dog and the family cat. Sometimes he chooses to sleep near the kitty, who regularly gives him affectionate head bumps. Apparently, Corned Beef has received the feline seal of approval.   A friendly canine playmate could be a lovely addition to his future home, though he could also do well as an only dog or with a compatible cat. He hasn’t met children in his foster home, so any introductions should be gentle and supervised, especially while he is still building confidence around hands.   Learning the Household Ropes   Corned Beef walks beautifully on a leash and doesn’t bark at people. In fact, his foster has only heard him bark once: when he spotted his reflection in a glass cabinet. A mysterious Maltipoo appearing in the furniture understandably required investigation.   His housetraining is still coming along. He has had an accident while adjusting, and he benefits from someone accompanying him outside when he feels uncertain. He doesn’t enjoy being crated. When his foster leaves, he stays in a baby-gated laundry room with access to the backyard.   Like many young dogs, Corned Beef sometimes gets creative about what counts as a toy. Papers left on the floor, blankets, and even his collar tag have caught his attention, and pee pads may become confetti. A tidy space, appropriate chew toys, and gentle redirection will help him learn which belongings are his.   A Little Goofball With a Tender Heart   One of Corned Beef’s finest performances involved a battle with a Ritz cracker. He valiantly wrestled with his crunchy opponent until it broke—then ate the evidence. Their owner told us their dad was the household’s Shih Tzu. When the accidental litter arrived, the owner surrendered mom and puppies to DPS so we could care for them and find them loving homes. They’ve been growing up in DPS foster homes ever since, and now, at eight weeks old, they’re ready to meet their future families.   Let’s browse the collection.   Macy’s — The Adventure Department   Smart, outgoing, and independently minded, Macy is the little leader who likes to see what’s happening—and preferably get there first. She’s usually the first puppy awake and the last to fall asleep, because there might be something interesting happening after closing time.   During backyard play, Macy’s is consistently the last one ready to come inside. One more lap! One more sniff! One more very important puppy investigation! She enjoys playing with plush toys alongside her siblings, but she’s equally happy entertaining herself. For a family who appreciates a curious little explorer with plenty of personality, Macy’s has quite the selection.   Bloomingdales — The Kisses Counter   Bloomies is a bit of a princess, and she appears fully aware that she’s adorable. Her preferred customer experience involves being scooped up, cuddled, and given the attention she so clearly deserves.   She’s the most affectionate of the bunch and loves handing out kisses. But don’t mistake her sweetness for a willingness to be pushed around: bigger siblings do not get to cut in line simply because they’re bigger. Bloomingdales holds her own, then gets right back to the important business of being loved.   Neiman Marcus — Luxury Lounge Collection   Neiman Marcus believes comfort should never be compromised. A leg, a wall, a plush toy, a sibling—if he can sleep tucked against it, he considers it an excellent investment.   He’s the most tentative puppy in the group and took a little longer to master going down the stairs. With time and practice, he got there, and his sweet, thoughtful approach is part of his charm. He loves belly rubs and is an especially wonderful snuggler: think Pillow Pet, with puppy breath and a very enthusiastic appetite. Mealtime is one appointment Neiman Marcus has no intention of missing.   Saks — Sporting Goods, Soft Edition   Saks was the first puppy to figure out going both up and down the stairs, and he’s already discovered the joys of a proper game of fetch. Tennis balls are his merchandise of choice, and he’s happy to demonstrate their many excellent features.   He’s also the most easygoing puppy of the bunch, with a gentle play style. Saks enjoys joining his siblings’ activities and running with the pack, bringing a lovely balance of playful participation and a mellow little personality. A tennis ball and some time together? That’s his idea of a successful shopping trip.   Nordstrom — Small Package, Big Personality   Nordstrom may be the smallest in stature, but nobody has informed him that this should affect his place in the pecking order. He has a big personality, a slightly bossy streak, and a firm belief that he should be picked up first.   He craves human attention and enjoys all kinds of toys—especially whichever one a sibling currently has. Apparently, the best inventory is always in somebody else’s cart. This little guy brings enthusiasm, confidence, and plenty of comic potential to the collection.   A Day in the Life: Play, Snack, Nap, Repeat   The puppies currently sleep together in an x-pen in the kitchen, settling down for the night around 11 p.m. and sleeping until about 7 a.m. Once the family wakes up, they’re ready for a backyard romp and a chance to practice their outdoor potty skills.   Breakfast is around 8 a.m., followed by playtime and a morning nap. The rest of the day rotates between toys, snacks, outdoor adventures, and well-earned snoozes. They love following the resident dog around the backyard, picking up pointers from their more experienced canine colleague.   When their humans leave, the puppies stay in their kitchen x-pen, where they’ve been content to play with toys and sleep until the family returns. Dinner is around 6 p.m., followed by evening outdoor play. Later, they join the family for couch snuggles and TV time.   Their bedtime wind-down begins around 10 p.m. with quiet time in the pen, belly rubs, and cuddles. In their current setup, they sleep quietly through the night with very little barking. As they move into separate homes, their new families should expect an adjustment period and continue an age-appropriate potty and sleep routine.   Little Puppies, Lovely Head Starts   All five puppies have learned to navigate stairs, enjoy being brushed, are comfortable being held, and have been patient with nail trims. They’ve also met the resident cats with curiosity and no barking—a nice early introduction to feline family members.   They’re learning to potty outdoors and will need continued guidance, frequent breaks, and positive reinforcement. Like all young puppies, they’ll also need appropriate chew toys, supervision, and help learning household manners.   With their Maltese/Terrier-type mom and reported Shih Tzu dad, adopters should plan for regular brushing and grooming as their coats develop. Their adult coat types and shedding levels aren’t yet certain.   Find Your Perfect Match   Each Shopaholic puppy will be adopted separately, giving every baby the chance to build a close bond with their own family.
