Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, June 14th from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $700 Meet Flip Phone – Your Favorite Throwback, Now in Dog Form!   At a glance, Flip Phone looks like a supersized Pug with a dash of mystery – clocking in at a solid 28 lbs of pure, snuggly, low-rider charm. But don’t be fooled by his chunky build and wrinkly grin— this 2 year old is as soft-hearted and loyal as they come, with a built-in ringtone that sounds suspiciously like gentle snores.   A Day in the Life of Flip Phone: Flip’s mornings start with a slow tail wag, a big stretch, and an even bigger belly rub. He enjoys taking in the early sunshine in the yard before breakfast, followed by a casual stroll to handle business. The rest of the day? He’s your emotional support shadow— lounging wherever you are, napping nearby, and gently reminding you it’s time for love (or snacks). He's an expert in relaxation and takes his afternoon snoozes seriously.   Dinner comes with another stroll, some enrichment (he lives for snuffle piles!), and then it’s lights out—preferably in his cozy crate or dog bed just outside your bedroom door, where he can keep an eye (and floppy ear) on you.   Flip's Features:   Velcro-mode enabled: Flip Phone follows you from room to room like you’re his favorite contact.   Goofproof: His leash-tugging antics, snoring naps, and treat-hunting skills will have you laughing daily.   Silent Operator: Not a barker, chewer, or destroyer. Flip prefers snuggles over shenanigans.   Housebreaking in Progress: He’s getting better every day, but belly bands are still in rotation while he finishes his “software update.”   Low Maintenance. High Reward. He doesn’t need much—just your company, a comfy spot, and occasional treats disguised as kibble.   Why Flip Phone is a Call Worth Answering: Flip Phone isn’t looking for a flashy lifestyle or a sprint through the app store. He’s old school in all the best ways—steady, loyal, cuddly, and just a little quirky. Whether he’s flopping beside you while you work or melting into your lap like a puddle of mashed potatoes, this dog will dial directly into your heart.   Ready to take this call? Flip Phone is standing by—snoring softly, of course—waiting for his forever human to press 'Accept.'June 12, 2025, 4:38 am

Meet Piglet the Puglet, a pint-sized pup with a big heart and an even bigger personality.   Rescued from a shelter, Piglet made himself at home within moments of arriving at his foster home. Affectionate, adaptable, and absolutely adorable, he quickly bonded with his foster family—including the two kids, ages 9 and 12. He’s a cuddle expert who thrives on human connection and especially enjoys walking the kids to school, soaking up hugs from all the neighborhood children along the way.   Piglet is as easygoing as they come. He’s fully house-trained, crate-trained, and has a calm, quiet presence— no barking, no chewing, and no digging. He’s not interested in squirrels or drama. He just wants to be where you are (and maybe nap in a sunbeam or snuggle on the couch). He’s playful when you’re in the mood and content to snooze when you’re not- he fits in so seamlessly to whatever your day looks like.   When it comes to walks, Piglet starts off with pep in his step, but he’s learning to walk calmly and already shows huge progress. He's smart, food-motivated, and loves training time— he knows how to sit, wait, and even patiently hold off on eating until given the go-ahead. Talk about manners!   At night, Piglet is happy to sleep in his crate or in his own bed beside yours. He adjusted quickly to the bedtime routine and is a total champ about settling in.   Piglet’s ideal home? A loving family that includes him in their daily life, gives him plenty of affection, and maybe even invites him onto the couch for movie night—he’s known for watching TV with a very serious, focused expression whenever a dog pops up on screen. It’s comedy gold.   If you’re ready for a loyal, loving, and low-maintenance companion who will bring laughter, joy, and a whole lot of snuggles to your life, Piglet the Puglet is your guy. You won’t find an easier or more endearing pup to welcome into your home.                  June 15, 2025, 6:51 pm

Story
If you love a dog with a snaggletooth, meet Grin. Grin is looking for an adopter that is ready to accept all the love he has to give, and he has a heart full of love to give . Grin is about 7 years old and currently a bit over 16 pounds. He loves people and is super affectionate with his person; he loves to cuddle and would like a home where he is allowed in the family bed. That said, he is not needy and he is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. Grin lives with 3 other dogs and is fine with them. He plays well with his foster sister. He would do fine with other dogs, or as an only dog. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. Grin walks well on leash and is great on neighborhood walks where other dogs are also on leash. He will bark at dogs that are off-leash and run towards him, his foster is working on this and he can be distracted with treats, but he would not at this time do well in off-leash dog parks. He is fine meeting new dogs in his home. If you are looking for love,  Grin may be the guy you are looking for.   Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Grin is $300. If you are interested in adopting Grin, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/ June 7, 2025, 3:27 pm
