Story
Meet Gr8 Grin Sunday, April 6th at Stern Grove from noon to 2PM at the San Francisco Chihuahua Meetup at Stern Grove ( https://www.meetup.com/sfchihuahua/ ). Gr8 Grin is looking for an adopter that is ready to accept all the love he has to give and he has a heart full of love to give . Gr8 Grin is about 7 years old and currently a bit over 16 pounds. He loves people and is super affectionate with his person; he loves to cuddle and would like a home where he is allowed in the family bed. That said he is not needy and he is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate, if that is preferred. Gr8 Grin lives with 3 other dogs and is fine with them. He plays well with his foster sister. He would do fine with other dogs or as an only dog. He does not play with toys in his foster home, but was known to carry a toy around at the shelter. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. Gr8 Grin walks well on leash and is great on neighborhood walks. He will bark at dogs he meets when out on walks, his foster is working on this and he can be distracted with treats. If you are looking for love,    Gr8 Grin may be the guy you are looking for.   Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Gr8 Grin is $300. If you are interested in adopting Gr8 Grin, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/ April 3, 2025, 12:26 am

Story
Miss Piggy was found roaming the streets; her owner was not found, and she had no chip. We took her in from the person who found her. Unfortunately, we do not have the time to give her the attention she needs, she is extremely friendly and needs a lot of attention. Every time she is left alone, she is very sad. She needs an owner who works from home or has more friendly pets to keep Miss Piggy happy. We took her to the Vet, and she got most of her meds. We will also provide toys, a crate, a leash, food, flea prevention, etc. We do not know her age exactly, and she needs to get an ultrasound to see if the is fixed or not.

Bonnie her mom Bella and 2 siblings were abandoned at a very crowded shelter. We rescued the family. She is adorable friendly calm but plays rough with sibling and very sweet with people. Shelter vet didn't notice but our foster home did right away. We will have our vet do exam on possible cherry eye on her left eye. More info. to come as she learns and relaxes at her foster home. 2/6/25: Bonnie had her vet exam for her right eye. She has pink eye that we can wait to see if it goes away or will try steroid drops. Update: Bonnie is very friendly and social playful with other dogs. She loves attention and snuggling on laps. Smart and precious.March 31, 2025, 12:18 am
