True to her name, she has a playful personality full of charm, expression, and a few adorable surprises along the way. One minute she’s a sleepy couch potato, the next she’s zooming around the house like the grand finale of game night. With her sweet nature and irresistible puppy-dog eyes, she has a way of winning hearts without saying a word.   Daily Routine & Lifestyle   Charades starts her day around 7:30–7:45am with a successful potty break— she reliably goes outside—followed by breakfast (kibble topped with turkey or salmon, her personal favorites). She’s currently working on house training and is doing very well with a consistent schedule, heading out every few hours, usually timed around meals and water.   During the day, Charades is happiest lounging near her people. She enjoys plenty of naps, sprinkled with playful bursts of energy and toy time. Evenings are when the fun really ramps up, often featuring zoomies and enthusiastic play sessions before winding down for the night.   She sleeps peacefully in her pen for about seven hours overnight. She does appreciate a proper bedtime routine—she likes to be tucked in— and once settled, she rests quietly until morning. While she’s clever enough to break out if she really wanted to, she understands the rules and chooses to stay put like the polite young lady she is.   Personality: The Perfect Balance   Charades is a happy, confident, playful pup who clearly enjoys life.   She strikes a wonderful balance between independence and affection. She isn’t overly clingy, but she loves to check in for regular cuddle sessions throughout the day— think of them as her scheduled “appointments” for belly rubs and lap time. She adores face scratches, cozy snuggles, and being close to her people.   Charades is also very smart. She quickly learns routines and picks up on cues, making her a rewarding dog to train and live with.   Social Life   Charades is fantastic with other dogs. She’s playful, polite, and reads social cues well, happily interacting with both large and small canine friends.   Her signature move on walks is an instant crowd favorite—she performs a tiny “play bow” and lies down to appear friendly and non-threatening to new dogs and people. It’s an adorable gesture that reliably earns smiles and “aww” reactions wherever she goes.   She hasn’t lived with children yet but has been calm and friendly around them in passing.   Energy & Play Style   Charades offers the best of both worlds:   Part-time couch potato Part-time playful puppy   She loves toys of all kinds—squeaky and non-squeaky alike—and enjoys bursts of energetic play followed by long, cozy naps nearby. She prefers to be in the same room as her people, quietly keeping them company between adventures.   Walking & Training   Charades enjoys walks and is easy to handle thanks to her small size and friendly demeanor.     Home Habits   Charades is a very easy houseguest.   Very quiet—almost never barks Mild chewer (mostly toys, occasionally a slipper) Not destructive Comfortable around everyday household noises, even the vacuum   The only time she’s been heard barking was at her own reflection in a window— apparently, that mysterious “other dog” needed to be addressed.   What Makes Charades Special   Charades has a gentle, approachable nature that makes people and dogs feel instantly comfortable around her. She’s affectionate without being demanding, playful without being overwhelming, and smart without being stubborn.   And her expressive little face—complete with those soulful puppy eyes—makes it nearly impossible not to fall in love.   Favorite Moments   One of the sweetest things about Charades is how politely she requests cuddles. She has memorized the exact spot where her people usually sit. She’ll quietly walk over, hop up, and wait patiently for her belly rubs like she’s arrived right on schedule.   She also enjoys watching dog cartoons on TV from time to time, which is about as adorable as it sounds.   And if you ever see her dramatically lie down mid-walk to make a new friend, you’ll understand immediately why everyone who meets her falls head over heels.   Charades is ready to bring laughter, love, and a little playful mystery into her forever home. The only question left is—are you ready to guess how quickly she’ll steal your heart?April 24, 2026, 10:43 pm

At just about 2 years old and 17 pounds, this compact little chef is proof that big flavor really does come in small packages.   A Day in the Life of the Chef Chef starts his mornings between 7–8am and immediately insists on his signature opening act: a 30-minute walk to inspect the neighborhood and gather inspiration. Once back home, he enjoys breakfast right away before settling into his x-pen to relax and recharge. In the afternoon, he heads out for a shorter walk, followed by some mental enrichment— puzzle toys, Kongs, chew bones, or a little training session to sharpen his skills.   Around 6pm, Chef is back on duty for his longest walk of the day (30–40 minutes), then it’s time for dinner. Evenings are reserved for what he does best: dramatically emptying the entire toy bin and sampling every option before bedtime. He finishes his day with a short walk around 9:30pm and sleeps in his crate in the living room. He may protest briefly when crated, but he settles quickly and sleeps through the night like a professional.   Personality & Training Chef Boyardee is extremely playful and goofy! Squeaky toys are a personal favorite, and he loves a good chase— he’s surprisingly fast and can keep up with even speedy dogs. While he’s not much of a lap dog, he does enjoy staying close, just in case a ball might be thrown at any moment. When he first arrived, Chef was still learning the basics. Since then, he’s added sit, wait, leave it, and spin to his growing skill set. Training is ongoing, but he’s very food motivated and eager to learn with consistency and patience. His signature move? An adorable counterclockwise spin that comes out whenever he’s excited.   Social Life Chef loves other dogs and wants to play constantly. He’s still learning polite play skills and how to read when another dog isn’t in the mood, but he’s making steady progress. He hasn’t been around kids yet, but he adores all the humans he’s met on walks. He’s met a cat once and showed interest but also some uncertainty; he may be an option with cats if slow intros and initial separation is possible. He also rides beautifully in the car—quiet, calm, and ready for the next adventure.   Leash Skills On leash, he’s a work in progress. He pulls, barks at other dogs out of excitement, and lunges toward cars, so continued leash training will be important. He has learned “leave it” on walks (especially when treats are involved) and loves picking up interesting treasures like sticks, pinecones, and rocks along the way.   Home Life & Habits Chef is mostly housetrained and has had no accidents after initial few days in new environments. He is crate trained and settles after a brief whine. He does enjoy chewing and sometimes thinks fingers are toys, so redirection with appropriate chew toys is key. He may bark when new people come over, but once he knows them, he switches from barking to enthusiastic, jumpy greetings.   Why Chef Boyardee? Chef is joyful, goofy, and always ready for whatever comes next. He’s the kind of dog who brings constant motion, laughter, and positivity into your life. With his expressive pug face, happy-go-lucky attitude, and food-motivated brain, he’s a wonderful candidate for someone excited to continue training and channel his enthusiasm. If you’re looking for a dog who approaches life with tail wags, spins, and an unshakable zest for adventure, Chef Boyardee is ready to take your order.April 24, 2026, 10:43 pm

Story
Meet Cookie! Cookie is one of those dogs who makes every room feel warmer the moment he hops in—and yes, we mean hops! With the bouncy energy of a little bunny, Cookie zips around the house following his favorite humans, always curious about what you’re up to and ready to join the fun. Personality & Foster Insights The "Social Butterfly" Arc: Cookie has two modes: he starts off adorably shy with new people, but once he warms up, he’s a total firecracker! Watching him come out of his shell is one of the sweetest things you'll ever see. The Shadow: He will follow you from room to room, always charming and always eager to be in the middle of everything. Toy Enthusiast: This boy LOVES squeaky, squishy, fluffy toys. Be warned: he is a professional "de-stuffer"! Cuddle Bug: When the day is done, there’s nothing Cookie loves more than curling up in a lap for a long snooze. Daily Routine & Manners Schedule: He’s a creature of habit! He starts his day at 8 AM with a potty break and breakfast, hangs out comfortably in his playpen from noon to 6 PM, and enjoys dinner at 6 PM. Skills: Cookie is a smart cookie! He already knows his name, sit, down, and come. Leash & Yard: He loves running free in a fenced backyard. He is manageable on a leash, though he’d love a family willing to continue working on his leash manners. Friends & Family Other Dogs: Cookie absolutely lights up around other pups—expect full-body wiggles and non-stop tail wagging. He would thrive in a home with a canine companion or a family that prioritizes socialization. Everyone Else: He is documented as getting along well with cats and kids, making him a versatile addition to many types of homes. Quick Stats Breed: Pug / Chihuahua Mix Age: Approx. 1 year, 6 months Weight: 11 lbs (Perfect lap size!) Health: Neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots. ##2218988##

Story
Finley  is a dapper little guy who loves affection, being held, and prancing around on his long little legs. He may take a few days to warm up and can be a bit skittish at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet, loving personality really shines. Finley is gentle, kind, and affectionate, and he does beautifully with other dogs and even young children. Once he settles in, he is simply full of love to give Energy Level?  Medium House trained?  Mostly Describe how they are on a leash?  He was not leash-trained when we rescued him, but we are working on it. Describe how they are with other dogs?  Playful, sweet, and snuggly. Finley enjoys hanging out with our three small resident dogs and running back and forth with them during fetch. He is very food motivated, so we feed them separately to ensure everyone gets their share. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  Not sure, but suspect he'd do well with cats. Commands they know?  Comes when called, usually goes potty outside when told to. What are their favorite things?  Love, snuggles, and your lap. Finley is happiest when he is being held by one of his people and will climb into your lap whenever he gets the chance. He also loves pets and will gently tap you with his paw to politely ask for more. Finley is a big fan of food and treats and is just starting to discover the fun of dog toys. What do they need to work on?  Needs practice walking on a leash. Has not yet learned how to climb stairs, but is happy to be carried up and down them. Nearly potty trained, just occasional accidents. How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  Finley does well in his crate while we are away at work and school. He has been alone most of the day. He will occasionally bark or howl along with our resident dogs when they hear noises outside. Where do they sleep?  In his crate downstairs. He will sometimes howl, but overall has adjusted well and goes to bed easily. He would love to be welcomed into the big bed. What is their ideal home?  Finley would do well in any home that is full of love, with people ready to dote on him. He's great with other dogs, gentle and loving with children, and friendly with visitors. He will be a wonderful addition to his forever family.
