Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Gus – Your New Best Friend!  Gus is a lovable Pug mix with a heart as sweet as they come. Through no fault of his own, he found himself owner surrendered to a shelter, but he's ready to leave that chapter behind and find the forever family he deserves. Gus can be unsure of meeting new people at first, and may be a little shy and territorial. Once he knows you, he will be your best friend for life. He will welcome you with kisses, happy jumps, lots of tail wags.  When Gus was owner surrendered, we were told that he is potty trained and does know how to use a bell to alert when needing to use the bathroom. He is also not much of a barker, gets along great with dogs, rides well in a car, and walks well on leash.  Gus is neutered, 4DX negative, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto.  His adoption fee is $400. To apply to adopt Gus, visit www.adoggie4you.org. Gus is currently located in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Please note that transport is not available to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 25, 2026, 7:39 pm

Story
Welcome Kiwi to CCPAL Rescue. Kiwi is a 10-week-old Pug mixed pup. She is a beautiful fawn color with a black muzzle. She has an underbite and a shortened nose. She is a smallest-sized pup in the liter. She should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Kiwi is the most outgoing and friendly in the group. She always comes when you call and wants to be picked up. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Kiwi is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Story
Nutmeg is a sweet, gentle two-year-old pug who came to us from The Pug Queen in California. She is a quieter girl who needs a little time to feel comfortable, but once she trusts you, her sweet personality begins to shine. Nutmeg is laid-back and loves relaxing, playing with her puppy Sage, and joining him for the occasional zoomie session. She also enjoys grooming her son, often giving his ears, face, and legs a little extra TLC. One of Nutmegs favorite things is a good belly rub! She may initially settle down a little distance away, but when her foster calls her over, she happily comes closer for pets and affection. She has even started cuddling up and sleeping beside her foster in bed all on her owna sweet sign that she is learning to trust and feel safe. Nutmeg is still building confidence and learning that training is a positive experience. She can be sensitive if she thinks she is being scolded, so patience and encouragement are important. We would love to see Nutmeg and Sage adopted together if possible. They enjoy each others company and seem to take comfort from having one another. We would also consider separate homes if there is already a calm, confident pug who could be a reassuring companion and help Nutmeg learn that life isnt scary. Nutmeg may take a little time to give you her trust, but once she does, youll discover what a sweet and loving little girl she truly is. Story
Sage is an 11 month old pug with a playful personality, a curious nature, and a heart full of love. He came to us from The Pug Queen in California and is quickly showing his foster family what a special little guy he is. Sage can be a little unsure when he hears sudden sounds he cant identify, such as a door closing or an appliance turning on. He is much more comfortable when he can see where a sound is coming from and has no problem with things like the vacuum or lawn mower. Because of his sensitive nature, hell need a patient family to help him build confidence. Once he feels comfortable, Sage is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves curling up in his fosters lap and gives the most adorable doggie hugsjumping into her lap, wrapping his front legs around her neck, and nuzzling his head beside hers. Hes also playful, curious, food motivated, and doing well learning his basic commands. Sage can become anxious when left alone, so his forever family will need to patiently help him learn that his people always come back. We would love to see Sage and his mom, Nutmeg, adopted together if possible. They enjoy playing and zooming together, and having each other seems to provide comfort and confidence. We would also consider adopting them separately to a home with a calm, confident pug who can help show them that the world isnt such a scary place. With patience, love, and positive reinforcement, we know this sweet boy will continue to blossom. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Meet Inga! Ingas story began in Californias Central Valley, where she spent the start of her young life as an outside dog, struggling to survive in the sweltering temperatures. Thankfully, The Pug Queen heard about this tiny girl and rescued her, giving Inga the chance to discover what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family. Barely a year old and weighing approximately 14 pounds, Inga may be petite, but she has a BIG personality! This energetic little girl bounds through life with enthusiasm, athletically running, jumping, and enthusiastically joining in on every adventure that comes her way. Inga is potty trained in her foster home and absolutely loves playing with other playful dogs. She has a fun, energetic personality and would thrive with a canine companion who enjoys playing as much as she does. Despite all that youthful energy, Inga has a wonderfully sweet side. When she is picked up, she relaxes and thoroughly enjoys the attention and affection. She also knows how to entertain herselfwhen she has a favorite chew or toy, she is perfectly content to settle down and enjoy it on her own. Inga has come a long way from the little pug who was simply trying to survive. Now shes ready to embrace all the fun, love, and adventures that life has to offer. We know she is going to be an amazing addition to the life of some very lucky people. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Welcome Nutz to CCPAL Rescue. Nutz is a 3-year-old Chug (Chihuahua/Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He is a quieter dog and likes to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that is more quiet and wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Story
Say hello to Archie! Archie is a 3-year-old English Bulldog who came to us an owner surrender as his owner was not able to care for him. Prior to coming to us, he lived much of his life in a crate where he was not well socialized or cared for. Archie has made huge strides since going into his foster home and we have found that he forms a deep and loving bond with his person, and we think he would do best in a home with one owner. He is looking for a confident, experienced owner who will spend time to help him reach his full potential. Archie is happy with other dogs, and would do fine with other dogs in the home but is best suited to a home without children and without a lot of foot traffic. He does well in a crate, and he is also house broken. Archie has quite the personality and loves to go for a ride in the car. In addition to car rides, he absolutely loves his toys and will entertain himself for hours on end. Archie is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Bean! Bean is a 3-year-old, 60 lb Staffy/Bulldog mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome guy is the total package ~ sweet, social, and full of love to give! Bean is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than cuddling up on the couch with his people. He’s house-trained, well-mannered in the home, and truly thrives on being part of the family. He’s a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and getting out and about ~ he just wants to be included in the action! He does great with other dogs and will need another dog in the home as a playmate and companion. Bean loves to play and can be a bit rough and rowdy, so he’ll do best with a dog who can match his play style and energy. Bean is a strong boy and is still working on his leash manners, so he’ll need a confident handler who can manage his strength and continue his training. He’s very eager to engage and loves being out in the world, so continued socialization and structure will be important for him. Because of his needs, Bean is looking for a standalone home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely play and burn off energy. He would do best with a home where someone is around often or can take him along on outings, as he doesn’t love being left alone for long periods ~ he truly just wants to be with his people and his dog buddy. As a bonus, Bean even loves bath time and happily soaks up the attention (including towel dries!). He’s a happy, loyal, loving dog who will make an incredible companion for someone ready to include him in their daily life. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and social dog who will be your shadow and your snuggle buddy, Bean is your guy! Bean is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Delilah! Delilah is a 4½-year-old, 59 lb Staffy/Bulldog mix who has been thriving in foster care for the past month. With time to decompress, her wonderful personality has truly blossomed, and she’s ready to find a forever family to call her own! Delilah is an incredibly sweet, happy, and easygoing girl who has great house manners! She is fully house trained and has proven to be non-destructive when left free-roaming in the home. She loves curling up in a cozy spot for a nap, enjoys a good peanut butter-filled bone or bully stick, and is just as content relaxing at home as she is heading out on an adventure. This affectionate girl adores her people and enjoys tagging along wherever life takes them. Whether it’s going for a walk, hopping in the car, grabbing lunch at a dog-friendly restaurant, or exploring somewhere new, Delilah is always happy to be included. She has an “off switch,” making her a great fit for families looking for a dog who enjoys both adventure and downtime. Delilah is friendly with people, gentle with children, and takes treats with the softest mouth. She’s still learning to better understand dog communication and social cues, so she’ll benefit from adopters who continue her positive socialization and provide thoughtful, slow introductions when meeting new dogs. She’s eager to learn and has already made great progress in foster care. She walks well on leash overall, though she can get excited when she spots squirrels, bunnies, or a dog she’d like to meet. A confident handler who will continue reinforcing her leash manners and recall will help her continue to succeed. Delilah isn’t a fan of the crate, but thankfully she doesn’t need one. She has proven herself to be completely trustworthy when left loose in the home and settles well while her foster family is away. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s just as happy joining you on adventures as she is snuggling up for a quiet evening at home, Delilah may be the perfect match! Delilah is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.
