Animal Profile: Ella & Maya were part of an accidental litter. Their family attempted to privately rehome them, but were unsuccessful and reached out to our rescue partners in TX for assistance. Both girls are friendly with people and other dogs, spayed, and current on their vaccinations. Those squishy, scruffy faces are sure to charm everyone they meet!  Foster Update:  Ella is very sweet and playful. She is smart, and responds quickly to clear leadership and direction. She has a little case of FOMO and can be vocal when she is left in her crate so she would do best in a single family home vs an apartment. Ella is not reactive on leash, and walks well when out and about. Maya is truly a people dog; she enjoys the company of other dogs but would prefer to be by your side (or in your lap) whenever possible. She is house trained, and working on her crate training. Porkchop is house trained, doing well with crate training, and loves making friends wherever he goes. Meet Garfunkel! He is SUPER sweet and social, good with kids, cats and all dogs. He is on meds to heal his skin after being discarded by family members after his owner passed away. He’s mostly housebroken, but because I have had other male dogs mark in the house, he sports a belly band and has no issues keeping it on. He loves kisses and snuggles. He’s around 8 years old and 21 pounds. He is quiet, doesn’t bark. We let him sleep in bed with us and did well. I feel like he’s been really MISSING human contact since his owners died and he was tossed outside, and he wants to find his person again. She comes to everything ready to party with her beloved people and dog friends. She is athletic and energetic, with a great cuddly side to her too. Conchis will need a secure yard and someone conscious of entering and exiting gates. While she does not try to get out, if she does she can be difficult to catch in the great open. This may or may not improve based on knowing her home and her people. We love this girl and she has done fine with us, and comes to us, but her recall in large areas needs more work. We have worked on it with great success but we would never suggest she be an off lead out of the yard dog. She had done well with us with meeting and playing with other dogs, and all the people she has met with us. She is simply a fun girl who loves people and play! Most of our dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Meet Zuko! He is a loving and sweet 1yo, 35lb Boston Terrier/Pit Bull mix. He came to us from a high kill shelter in CA. Zuko walks great on leash, and has a great temperament. He would make a great adventure buddy, and would love to cuddle up and spend time with his people at the end of the day. Zuko can be a little reactive and nervous around other dogs in close proximity. He would do great with a family that has experience and can continue proper socialization with him, and even consider groups training classes. Zuko is neutered, UTD on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450.

Meet Bernie! He is a 8-year-old, 46 lb English Bulldog who is looking for his perfect forever home. He is currently living in a foster home, and this is what his foster has to say about him… Bernie is an excellent companion. He has a calm, sweet demeanor and loves pets and affection. He moves slowly and has some arthritic legs and/or hips and will need to be in a single story home without steps. He loves to go outside and to explore the perimeter of our yard or to get a drink of water. He has done well when crated but prefers to be lounging in a dog bed when we are around. He sleeps in the crate at night just fine and only barks when he needs to go outside. He gets along great with our other dogs (we feed them separately to avoid guarding or negative interactions) and is great with small kids (we have a 4- and 6-year-old). Bernie arrived in our care with an anal gland abscess which his foster has been caring for and is healing. He will need a bulldog experienced home that can care for his ears and eyes and continue with the care for his anal gland abscess. Cleaning his face, folds, eyes, ears and anal glands are paramount to his health. Bernie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. HIs fee is $200
