Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Hardy! Hardy is a 6-year-old, 18 lb Pug who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter, and he is every bit the classic, lovable pug you could hope for! Sweet, goofy, and endlessly charming, Hardy has a big personality packed into a small, squishy body. He loves being carried, soaking up attention from his people, and showing off his silly side. He’s bouncy, playful, and always ready to make you laugh ~ truly your typical happy, goofy pug! Hardy is great with other dogs and great with people, making him an easy addition to a social household. He’s also treat-motivated, which makes him eager to engage and easy to work with. He enjoys going on walks and little adventures and would love adopters who include him in their daily activities. Because Hardy is a flat-faced breed, he will do best in a home with brachycephalic (flat-faced) breed experience or adopters who understand his specific needs, including monitoring exercise, temperature, and overall health. Hardy is ready to bring laughs, cuddles, and plenty of pug charm to the right home ~ all he’s missing is his forever family! Hardy is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Cadillac is a pug puppy. She has a lot of energy, likes to lick, is playful, adapts really quickly if you have other dogs, making progress on potty training. She sleeps through the night and has her own bed. She goes outside the front door in the grass specially in the mornings when waking up and after each meal in the hopes that she’ll learn to potty outside. She has normal pup behavior. She’s good with other dogs and with children. She is food motivated. She is a good addition to the household, and pugs required a lot of love.
-----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
Ruth, approximately 2 years old, is a happy girl! She was originally found as a stray in an area where we've seen a lot of local pugs dumped lately. After completing her stray hold, she's now ready for her forever home. She's an absolute sweetheart. Good with dogs and people. She has energy and would love a home with a yard she could run and explore or an active family that's ready to take her on the go. She came to our One Year party and had the best time cruising the room. She will definitely thrive in a home with another pug! He's affectionate and loves cuddles, often trying to climb into your lap, but he's also happy to relax nearby and keep you company without being demanding. Quiet, mellow, and easygoing, Bubba takes most things in stride. He walks well on leash, enjoys casual strolls, and is confident around people and other dogs, though quick critters like squirrels may tempt him to chase. Overall, he's low energy and perfectly content spending his days snoozing on the couch. He handles routine care well, including daily eye ointment, and was a champ at the vet. Bubba would do best in a cat-free home.

Fergus is shy and reserved around new people, and he does best in a quiet, single-family home with minimal visitors. Apartment or condo living isn't a good fit for him, as unexpected encounters with strangers can be overwhelming and stressful for him. Once Fergus feels safe and secure, his true personality shines. He is a total sweetheart who loves being close to his people and quietly keeping them company. Fergus isn't looking for an active lifestyle-he'd much rather relax at your feet or nap in a cozy spot than head out for long walks. Fergus is dog-friendly with slow, thoughtful introductions. In his foster home, he lives successfully with several other dogs and enjoys lounging on the couch and hanging out in the yard with them. A home with existing dogs can be a great fit for Fergus, as long as the resident dogs are calm and non-reactionary and the adopter is committed to taking introductions at his pace. Fergus would thrive in a home with one or two adults, few visitors, and plenty of patience and love. In return, he will offer steady affection, quiet loyalty, and the kind of gentle companionship that makes every day feel a little calmer.

To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit https://bulldoghavennw.org/apply/ Follow us on Facebook and Instagram: BulldogHavenNW Meet Winni Mae! This darling 4-year-old English Bulldog is looking for her forever kingdom where she can be the one and only furry queen (yes, she prefers to keep all the belly rubs and treats to herself - can you blame her?). This girl is new to our rescue and we are still getting to know her; so far she has been very friendly and sweet in her foster home with two adults. Winni Mae is a professional nap enthusiast, toy connoisseur, and will always say YES to a walk. Rain or shine, she'll be the first one waiting by the door when it's time for an adventure. Speaking of adventures, her favorite indoor expedition is following her humans from room to room - she's basically your wiggle-butt shadow! When she's not showing off her impressive toy collection or patrolling the neighborhood on her walks, you'll find this squishy-faced sweetheart snuggled up on the sofa or sleeping soundly in her bed next to her humans. Winni Mae also has a few tricks up her sleeve (sit, stay, re-call) and will politely ask for chin scritches. You won't need a doorbell any longer, as Winni Mae will graciously BORK BORK to notify you anytime someone has approached your front door. Winni Mae is searching for a loving home where she can be the center of attention, shower her family with endless affection, and live her best life as the cherished fur-baby she was born to be.
