My name is Gabriel and if you're in search of a handsome lil fella, well, shoot...look no further. I am right around 6 months old and very sweet and playful. That typical puppy that just loves living life. Exploring this big ole world and playing are 2 of my favoritest things with snuggles and eating coming in a close 2nd. I will need to have continued house training. I'm almost there but still need a little more training. I'm a pretty smart lil cookie (it must be so cuz my foster mom tells all the time) and should have the hang of it in no time at all. I come in at around 14lb and shouldn't get a whole lot bigger at my adult weight. But don't you worry none, I'll be the perfect size for giving you all my love and cuddles. And it's also the perfect size for, yep...everything! From neighborhood strolls to some nature trails!! My short coat is going to easy peasy in the grooming department and that means lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. Oh my, what could be better?!! Welcome Stevie to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 16- month old Pughuahua is our best guess. He is a small dog at 15 pounds. He has a great appetite and isn’t picky on his food. He currently eats in his crate. He is very puppylike and playful. He loves the small dog tennis balls. He likes all toys and will take the fluff out of them if he can. He is good in a crate and currently best friends with a small female playful dog in his foster home. He likes to run and play. He is crate trained and, on a schedule, will do all business outside. He is learning the doggy door. He does respond to the word “no” and stops what he is doing when you say it. He is good in a car and now good on a leash. He is friendly with dogs after he meets them. He would prefer a family of small dogs or no dogs would also be fine. When he goes outside to do his business, he does like his family to stay out there while he does his business. He will not go in his crate and will bark when he needs to go while in his crate. He was found as a stray on the streets of San Antonio. He was picked up by a good Samaritan after her day’s work. She saw him before work and after work he was still there so she took him home. He is now in a CCPAL foster home getting his training so he will be ready for his new forever home. He is not a big shedding dog, has an adorable underbite and a very cute curly tail. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Caost. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Meet Gretchen! Adorable Gretchen had a rough start with an abusive owner. Once confiscated she entered a wonderful foster home who have shown her so much love! She is ready for a loving home that will always take care of her and in return, you will be so rewarded. What's wonderful about Gretchen? She has a lovely soft coat and loves to play fetch or play with soft squeaky toys. She loves her walks but also likes being a couch potato and wants to snuggle under a blanket with you. She is fully potty trained and sleeps through the night. She is a big kisser and a cuddle bug. Gretchen rides well in the car and is good with baths.  Gretchen's challenges: She is a bit reactive on leash towards other dogs. This needs work and we can guide you with that. Reactivity is often a sign of fear and as she learns to be more confident, this behavior will diminish. Gretchen can also be protective of her fave people. She is a bit wary of strangers and it takes her a minute to warm up. Once she loves you and trusts you, she is the sweetest cuddler.  She has a bit of separation anxiety. She can be alone for 4 or so hours, but will cry a bit at first. She will need to be in a home with a yard.  Gretchen will be a lovely companion in a home without other dogs and without young kids. We hope to find her a family who will be patient with her as she learns to trust.  She is updated on shots, spayed and will be chipped. Her adoption fee is $395.      We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! She enjoys playing with other dogs but requires a human who can supervise and advocate for appropriate interactions or she is prone to bullying behavior. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and is crate-trained, house-trained, and has basic obedience training. She will benefit from structure, leadership, and ongoing training. Animal History:  Penny and her siblings were a surprise litter - their mother was adopted from a local family when she was unknowingly pregnant, so he got much more than he bargained for when she had puppies soon after her adoption. Penny was born on 12/09/22; one of the littermates was  DNA tested and so presumably all littermates are  75% English Bulldog, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Rhodesian Ridgeback. As puppies, these dogs were playful and engaging. Penny was adopted as a puppy to a family who was not prepared for the tendencies of this breed combination. Without any formal training, she developed territorial behaviors in the home and on walks that ultimately led the family to return her to the rescue. Oreo, a delicious treat good any time of the day, hey hey, that's me! Just twist, lick and dunk along with me for a feel good moment anytime of the day! I have a cookie named just for me...well I haven't been around since 1912 so I guess I was named after the cookie. Either way, we're both sweet but get this, you won't have any guilt indulging in this Oreo!!! I'm only around 10months old and came in with a broken leg. We got me all fixed up and I can now run and jump and chase the other foster pups around!! I will hold that leg up every once in awhile but then I'm off on my next adventure using that leg just fine. I come in at the top end of the small category of 25lbs. I shouldn't get much bigger(taller) but may but on a few filling-out pounds. I'm a great size for any and all your action adventures but also a great size for being your BFF. I'm pretty quiet, have a super sweet disposition and get along great with other dogs. I could learn to tolerate a cat but it would probably be best if my home was cat free. I'm house and crate trained and let me tell you, that's a fantastic bonus for my new family. I also do well on the leash and love going for my daily walks! Do you need a BFF? A constant in your life? A lil cohort up for any crime you want to try? Animal Profile: Bradley  is a handsome male Boston Terrier mix, estimated to be 12 weeks old. He and his siblings along with their mom Georgia (See Picture) were owner surrendered and taken in by our rescue partner in Texas and is currently enjoying her foster home with children and resident dogs while getting ready for their trip to the PNW to find her forever homes.  Foster Update:  Bradley is a fun little puppy. He's very playful and interacts well with people and dogs of all ages. We are working on his potty training and he now makes noises when a pee/potty break is needed. He's mostly sleeping through the night except for a bathroom break as his bladder is still tiny. Highly food motivated and trainable. He’s starting to understand commands and does respond positively to treats. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate.
