Story
Animal Information: Percy is a 3-year-old, 11-pound pug/Chihuahua mix who was rescued from a confiscation case in Southern California. Shelter life was a little overwhelming for him at first, but with patience and kindness, Percy quickly began to show his true personality. Once he felt safe, he charmed the staff with his gentle nature, happy tail wags, and adorable little underbite. He also did wonderfully with his kennel mates, showing himself to be a friendly and easygoing companion. Thanks to a foster stepping up, Percy has been enjoying a cozy temporary home while waiting for his freedom ride to Seattle. Now he’s ready for the next chapter of his life  Foster Profile:  Percy is a very sweet and mellow pup. He’s shy with new people but will accept treats. He absolutely loves to sit with you and his default move is to roll on his back for belly rubs. Warning: you may have to extract him when it’s time to tackle your todo list.    He’s quite comfortable in his crate, day or night. Loves to take walks and has played well with another dog. He is continuing to learn family routine and rules. He has really great eye contact at home and on walks and is working to understand sit and other basic commands.   A mellow temperament like his would be well suited to a variety of families with or without other dogs.   He’s a super affectionate dog that prioritizes his humans and would be a good match if an “easy” dog is what you need to keep calm and carry on.   More to come as we continue to get to know him in foster care.    Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  This dog was transferred from Stanislaus Animal Shelter in Modesto, CA. He will be transferred via START, arriving to foster care on 06/11/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. July 5, 2026, 11:27 pm

Story
Animal Information: Layla (and her sibling Leela) are an adorable pair of "short stacks" who were found as strays and rescued from the municipal SBC shelter after being at risk due to their length of stay. Now they're ready to find the loving home they deserve! Layla is sweet, social and friendly with people and learning to play with other dogs. She's the more reserved follower of the two, but with a little encouragement, she quickly warms up and charms everyone she meets. Their goofy personalities, adorable pouty lips, and curly-Q tails make them impossible not to smile around. Layla has picked up crate training, house training and learning basic obedience in the short time we've had her. We look forward to watching her blossom in foster care.  Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Now they're ready to find the loving home they deserve! These sweet girls are social, friendly, and enjoy the company of both people and other dogs. Leela is outgoing with people and always eager to make a friend. She wants to play with other dogs but doesn't have a lot of dogging life experience so we're working on her social skills in foster care. She is a puddle pup and loves to play. She's taking to crate training, house training, and basic obedience and -- with a committed human to bond with -- will make a fantastic companion.   Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Story
Animal Information: Paige is a 16-pound "terrier mix" is estimated to be around 9 months old. We think she may have a little Pug mixed in too, judging by her adorable curly tail. Paige is a friendly, social pup who loves meeting new people and playing with other dogs. Shelter staff describe her as happy, outgoing, and always ready to make new friends. She seems to have never met a stranger and brings a cheerful energy wherever she goes. With her fun-loving personality and compact size, Paige is sure to make a wonderful companion for a lucky family. Foster Profile:  Paige loves everyone! When they say “find someone who looks at you like ___”, they’re talking about Paige. She’s affectionate, playful, and overflowing with joie de vivre. Paige is also very smart and a fast learner. She’s almost fully potty trained and crate trained after just a week of practice. She is motivated to please (and VERY motivated for treats), which means she will thrive in puppy school. She can also adapt to the vibe. Want to take a nap on the couch? Count her in for world-class snuggles! Want to go on an adventure? She’s ready! Paige is showing a lot of interest in water and could become the perfect SUP buddy. You might think you know what love is, but if you adopt Paige, you’ll know for sure. She deserves the very best home where she can get lots of play time, snuggles, snacks, and socializing. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Story
Hey there — I'm Tucker GC, a tiny brown and tan Pug-Chihuahua mix with a whole lot of personality packed into my 2.2-pound frame! 🐶 At just 7 weeks old, I'm still learning about the world, and I'm ready to soak up all the love and playtime you can give me. I'm affectionate and friendly, with a playful spirit that'll keep you entertained — though I'm happy to snooze beside you when the adventure winds down. I was a bottle fed, c-section baby so I love my people family, and love to be held. My surgery is scheduled for July 13th and I will be available to go home with you after that. Come meet this little bundle of joy and watch me grow into your perfect companion! 💕 Texas adoption fee is $350. Out of State adoption fee with transport $650.

🐾 Meet Kano – The Puggy Wow Wow! 🐾 Hi there! My name is Kano, and yes... I know that's not how you spell Chihuahua. But I like to think I'm a Puggy Wow Wow! 😄 Technically, I'm what's called a "Chug"—a Pug/Chihuahua mix—but I think "Puggy Wow Wow" has a much nicer ring to it! I'm just 4 months old and weigh about 10 pounds, so I'll likely stay under 25 pounds when I'm all grown up... unless you keep sharing your snacks. (I won't complain—I consider myself quite the foodie!) Not long ago, I had a little makeover. I used to have trouble breathing because of my tiny nose, but I recently had surgery to help me breathe so much better. My rescue friends call it my "nose job," and let me tell you... I feel fantastic! Now I can run zoomies around the yard like a little rocket. While I was at the vet, I also got neutered, so I'm all set for my forever family. I'm a happy, social little guy who loves kids, other dogs, cats, and just about everyone I meet. I'm learning my leash manners, and my foster family says I'm incredibly smart. I figured out the doggy door in just one day and I'm almost completely house-trained because I know exactly when it's time to head outside. After a fun play session, my favorite place is curled up next to my people. Whether we're going for walks, exploring the neighborhood, or spending a quiet evening on the couch, I'm happiest just being with my family. I'm looking for someone who will laugh at my silly antics, spoil me with belly rubs, and love me forever. In return, I'll give you endless kisses, loyal companionship, and enough personality to keep you smiling every single day. ❤️ If you're looking for a sweet, funny, energetic best friend who's already overcome life's first challenges with a wagging tail, I just might be your perfect match. Come meet Kano... your little Puggy Wow Wow is waiting! 🐾 Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sir Henry – a little gentleman with a big heart. Sir Henry found himself at a local animal control shelter when it was over capacity, and we're so happy we were able to give him a fresh start. When he arrived, he had some hair loss, but despite everything he'd been through, he was simply happy to be safe and cared for. This sweet boy has a gentle, quiet nature and gets along wonderfully with every dog he meets. He has a playful side too and can get excited enough to jump up to say hello, so he'll appreciate a family willing to help him polish his manners. He's slightly active, enjoys spending time with his people, and is always ready to be part of the fun without being over-the-top. Sir Henry is still working on his potty training, so he'll need a patient family to help him learn a routine. With consistency and encouragement, he's sure to catch on. His loving personality makes him well worth the effort. Sir Henry is fully vetted and ready for his forever home. He is neutered, microchipped, 4DX negative, current on ProHeart 12, and protected with Bravecto. His adoption fee is $500. Apply to adopt Sir Henry at www.adoggie4you.org. Sir Henry is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Pugs Bunny! Pugs Bunny is a sweet, gentle boy who is ready to hop right into your heart! This handsome pup was found as a stray, and while we don't know much about his past, he's already shown us what a wonderful companion he can be. Pugs Bunny has a calm, quiet nature and a submissive personality. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would love a canine friend to romp around with, but he's just as happy relaxing by your side. He's looking for a patient family who will help him learn the ropes of living in a home, including potty training. Because his history is unknown, we aren't sure how he does with children or cats, so slow, supervised introductions would be recommended. Story
Please meet Forrest! This sweet pup is estimated to be about 10 months old. At a young age, he was abandoned in a park. We don’t know what happened to his mom or if he and his brother were the only ones to survive, but Forrest is resilient with a heart full of joy. Forrest is a happy and playful boy who’s adjusting well to life in a home. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people. He lives in a foster home with cats but he gets very excited wanting to play when he sees them so he accidentally scares the cats. While he’s gentle and kind, we recommend a home with older kids, as his youthful energy might accidentally knock over toddlers. He's a big wiggle-butt, a very happy boy! Forrest would thrive with a family who can help him with leash training and shower him with the love and attention he deserves. Are you ready to give Forrest the forever home he’s been waiting for? We can drive this pup to your area! If you like this cutie please send us an inquiry here and we'll give you a call and video chat with the pup! Here's the link: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Please copy/paste the above link into your browser ^ Our transport can take this pup to any of the above locations. (YES we also adopt to Canada! Please note: adoption fee is in US dollars.) There is NO transport fee, or any extra fees. All is included in the adoption fee. Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry!

Story
Animal Profile:  Penny is a 2 1/2 year old, 65 lb spayed female English Bulldog mix. She has a tight, clean coat and an adorable under bite. She has guardian-breed tendencies and will need a breed-savvy owner who's able to provide appropriate leadership. She is loyal to her family and loves to snuggle. Her absolute favorite joy in life is Ball! She enjoys playing with other dogs but requires a human who can supervise and advocate for appropriate interactions or she is prone to bullying behavior. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and is crate-trained, house-trained, and has basic obedience training. She will benefit from structure, leadership, and ongoing training. Once acclimated in a home environment, she loves to snuggle and play and has a goofy, loving personality.  Adopter Profile:  Single family residence required Secure fenced yard preferred Large breed experience required Bully breed experience preferred Other balanced dogs and older children considered on case by case basis Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, flea/tick treatment, deworming, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Medical Notes: Penny has had one TPLO repaired in Spring 2025 and fully recovered, before tearing her other CCL in Fall 2025. We will do another TPLO for her with adoption interest.  Animal History:  Penny and her siblings were a surprise litter - their mother was adopted from a local family when she was unknowingly pregnant, so he got much more than he bargained for when she had puppies soon after her adoption. Penny was born on 12/09/22; one of the littermates was  DNA tested and so presumably all littermates are  75% English Bulldog, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Rhodesian Ridgeback. As puppies, these dogs were playful and engaging. Penny was adopted as a puppy to a family who was not prepared for the tendencies of this breed combination. Without any formal training, she developed territorial behaviors in the home and on walks that ultimately led the family to return her to the rescue. She has since been evaluated and fostered in a DGS foster home. She is currently available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.  July 5, 2026, 11:27 pm

Story
Primrose, Princeton and Percival's mom was abandoned at a home when her previous owners moved out. She was left out on a chain to fend for herself. Luckily the neighbors realized she had been left behind and took her in. She was in horrible physical condition and pregnant by to neighborhood stray (a black lab) that would jump the fence when she was in heat. It was reported by the neighbors that these 2 had had multiple litters together but none of the puppies ever survived. The neighbors children fell in love with mom and they are keeping her but needed help rehoming her very last litter (we assisted in getting her spayed). These pups are the most laid back and chill group I have ever seen.
