Story
Hi, my name is Chachita. I am a calm, sleepy, and very loving older dog who enjoys being close to my person. I like to follow you around the house, nap in cozy spots, and play a little before bedtime. I would love a home where I am treated like the queen of the house, with space to walk comfortably, and someone who is patient and understands that I am a senior dog. When I was found, I was on the sidewalk, covered in flies, surrounded by bigger dogs trying to mount me. I had a skin fungus and severe conjunctivitis, and I could barely see. I am much better now, but I still need daily eye cleaning and drops, as well as dental care and soft food to help with my mouth.I am gentle, grateful, and ready to spend my golden years with someone who will love me every day. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Meet our Last Litter. These puppies represent more than adorable faces they represent our commitment to prevention, responsibility, and thoughtful rescue. They are wonderful, wiggly, and worth doing right. For this litter, we are focusing on homes in Washington, British Columbia, Idaho, and Oregon. We are fortunate to have strong local interest. At the same time, many regions of the country particularly areas like Texas and California are currently overwhelmed with pugs needing homes. If you are willing to travel to adopt, we strongly encourage you to look toward rescues in those areas where adopter support is urgently needed. Rescue is strongest when we step up where the need is greatest. Puppy adopters must: Have a daytime plan. If you work 8+ hours outside the home, you must have a mid-day check-in plan. Puppies cannot attend daycare until fully vaccinated, so someone needs to visit for at least 30 minutes during the day. Be prepared for potty training, socialization, and structure. There will be accidents. There will be interrupted sleep. Consistency and patience are essential. Supervise all interactions with children. Puppies nip, jump, and are learning appropriate behavior. Guidance and supervision are required. Complete spay/neuter through one of our approved Washington clinics. This is financially provided by the rescue, with a deposit retained to ensure completion. Preventing the next accidental litter is central to our mission. We do have a way for you to complete the spay/neuter at your own clinic - but we can talk about that. Have a veterinarian identified. Vaccine boosters must remain on schedule, and ongoing veterinary care is essential. Avoid immediate vacations. The first few weeks are critical bonding and foundation-building time. We love these puppies too much to rush this process. Our goal is not speed it is lifelong success. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Kingston and Isla are a deeply bonded pair of young pugs with quiet, steady temperaments and a strong attachment to one another. At just around two years old, they have their entire lives ahead of themand they are ready to share it together in a forever home. Their bond is genuine and unmistakable. They sleep touching, move comfortably side by side, and check in with one another throughout the day. While they are closely connected, they are not exclusiveboth dogs have done very well with their foster siblings and genuinely enjoy the company of other dogs. They would likely thrive in a home with another friendly dog or as a pair on their own. Both Kingston and Isla are affectionate with people and enjoy social outings. They have done well at busy farmers markets and handle new environments with confidence. They are friendly, approachable, and comfortable meeting new people. Isla previously lost one eye following an incident with a larger dog. She has adapted beautifully and navigates her world with confidence and resilience. Her vision difference does not slow her down or impact her quality of life. Car rides are currently a work in progress and will require patience and continued positive exposure. Potty training is improving, though consistency will be important in their new home. Like many pugs, they can be a bit stubbornbut they are young, capable, and responsive with structure. They have not been officially cat-tested; however, based on their easygoing personalities, they would likely adjust well with proper introductions. Kingston and Isla are looking for a home that understands the value of their bond and is ready to welcome them both. They offer double the companionship, double the loyalty, and a lifetime of shared devotion. Currently fostered in Tacoma, Washington. Our combined adoption donation is $1500. Story
Welcome Nutz to CCPAL Rescue. Nutz is a 3-year-old Chug (Chihuahua/Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He is a quieter dog and likes to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that is more quiet and wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Abuelo Pablo is an 8-year-young gentleman with a heart of gold and the calm, affectionate presence only a seasoned pug can bring. Hes exceptionally well-trained, loves a predictable routine, and is happiest napping on a cozy bed close to his people. Like many senior pugs, Pablo comes with ongoing medical needs that require thoughtful monitoring. Recent bloodwork showed changes in his kidney values, so he was started on a prescription kidney diet to support long-term kidney health. Follow-up urine testing revealed urinary crystals, which can be common in older dogs, so Pablo is currently on a prescription urinary diet to help dissolve those crystals and prevent discomfort or blockage. Once the crystals are resolved, the plan is to transition him back to kidney-supportive nutrition, with continued lab monitoring to guide next steps. Pablo also has mild hind-end stiffness and moves at a slower, deliberate pace. After veterinary evaluation, no additional treatment is recommended beyond comfort, consistency, and letting Pablo set the speed. He remains comfortable and happy, showing no signs of pain. He is reliably housetrained, though on occasion a tiny senior poop nugget may sneak out unexpectedly. Were still determining whether this is mild fecal incontinence or simply a senior-pug quirk, and it has been very manageable in daily life. Despite these needs, Pablo feels good, enjoys his routine, loves being near his people, and takes everything in stride. Hes what we lovingly call a medical pug but really, just a well-cared-for senior who needs a little extra attention, good nutrition, and a solid vet partnership. If youre looking for a gentle, low-key companion who will happily share your couch and your heart, Abuelo Pablo is ready to settle in and enjoy his golden years.
