Story
Welcome Murphy to CCPAL Rescue. Murphy is a 10-week-old Pug mixed pup. He is a beautiful fawn color with a black muzzle. He has an underbite and a shortened nose. He is a smallest-sized boy pup in the liter. He should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Murphy is one of two boys in the litter. He always comes when you call and wants to be picked up. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Murphy is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Otis is a 4-year-old pug who recently joined Evergreen Pug Rescue as an owner surrender. From the moment he arrived, it was clear this sweet boy has so much love to givebut he was also quietly carrying a lot of discomfort. During his veterinary exam, Otis was diagnosed with a Grade 4 luxating patella, the most severe form of kneecap dislocation. This means his kneecap is permanently out of place, causing significant pain and limiting his ability to move comfortably. Despite this, Otis has remained gentle, affectionate, and trustingeverything we love about this breed. And heres the best partOtis is truly the whole package. He is cat approved, dog friendly, and perfectly house trained. Hes the kind of dog who settles in quickly and just wants to be near his people. The good news: there is a path forward. Otis is scheduled for corrective surgery next week, which will stabilize his knee and give him the comfort and mobility he deserves. This is a major procedure, with an estimated cost of around $2,000, followed by a dedicated recovery period. Post-surgery, Otis will need: Strict crate rest for the first two weeks Leash-only activity for several additional weeks Close monitoring to ensure proper healing Because of this, we are hoping to find a forever home local to the Redmond area so we can continue to support his follow-up care every step of the way. Otis didnt choose this journeybut were committed to making sure his future is one filled with comfort, stability, and love. And with his easygoing, well-mannered personality, we know hes going to make an incredible companion. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Harold is a really fun and sweet boy with some bad habits. At baseline, he is a complete love. However it does seem like his past wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, and he has some behaviors we are working through. And honestly? Harold is SUCH a friendly boy. He likes people, does great with other dogs, and genuinely wants to be social and connected. Theres a really happy, sweet dog in there. But its also become clear that touch was not always something Harold knew as kind or safe. Because of that, he has triggersespecially around his neckand when he feels uncomfortable, hell growl, lunge, or try to create space. Not because hes mean, but because at some point in his life, he learned he needed to protect himself. The good news? That life is behind him now. Harold is in a trainer foster home where hes working on trust, desensitization, and learning that affection and touch can be safe. Its going to take patience, time, and the right adoptersomeone experienced or excited to work alongside a trainer and willing to meet him where hes at. Because of his triggers, well also be looking for a home with kids 13+. Sometimes rescue is more than medical care. Sometimes rescue means helping a dog learn that the world can be safe againand making sure dogs like Harold get that chance, too. While it may be some work, we know Harold is worth it and his love is the best reward. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Peanut came to us as an owner surrender last year with pyometra threatening her life. They could not afford the surgery required to save her, so they turned to us. First we said yes to helping Peanut, but then we asked, how can we keep Peanut in her home?We were able to save Peanut's life and keep her in her home at that time. However some things have changed in her family's life and they reached out to Evergreen Pug Rescue for help for a second time. This time they have entrusted us to find her a forever family for her golden retirement era. Peanut is currently in a loving foster home, recovering from her recent dental. Now that she's all polished up and medically cleared, we are searching for her perfect fit! Her foster mom says she is so well behaved. She generally gets along with the other pugs in her home, but can be a little bossy. This sweet girl has had no accidents, as long as she has regular potty breaks. She rarely barks and loves her treats, but is not a beggar! She's a cuddle bug that loves being pet and sleeping with you. Peanut is in good health, likes being outdoors, and going for walks. Story
Chubbs story began in Bakersfield, California, where he and his sister were dumped outside into a filthy yard after previously living as indoor dogs. Left to endure the brutal summer heat, the pair quickly began struggling in the conditions until someone finally stepped in to help save them. Rescued on June 14, 2025, Chubbs was transported for immediate veterinary care thanks to the dedication of The Pug Queen Foundation. By the time he arrived at the clinic, he was absolutely crawling with fleas and desperately needed medical attention, stability, and proper care. Originally named Blacky, his rescue quickly realized the name didnt fit him at all. While Blakey was briefly attempted, the moment someone called him Chubbs, he instantly responded and the name stuck. And honestly? It fits him perfectly. Chubbs is absolutely adorable with the goofiest little face and a personality that is impossible not to laugh at. Hes smart, funny, clever, affectionate, and just the right amount of bossy. Around the other dogs, Chubbs has confidently appointed himself the official Supervisor. If the younger pugs start getting too rowdy or dramatic, hes usually the first to step in and restore order whether they asked for his opinion or not. While Chubbs has a strong personality, he is also incredibly loving and deeply attached to his people. He enjoys companionship and attention but also carries himself with a confidence that makes him stand out from the crowd. He would likely do well either with compatible dogs or as an only dog soaking up all the attention himself. However, due to his confident personality, he would do best avoiding other dominant or overly intense dogs. For this reason, we're also looking for no large dogs for this sweet boy! Chubbs has had many interested adopters over time, but finding the right fit has always mattered more than simply finding a fit. His rescue has remained committed to ensuring he lands in a home where his personality will be appreciated, understood, and allowed to shine. And whoever ends up with this hilarious little pug is going to get a dog absolutely full of character. Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!
