Story
Meet Spencer! An adorable, 9-month-old Pug/Chihuahua mix that came to us from CA to find his forever home. Spencer is a super sweet puppy who is the life of the party and loves to play with toys. He walks great on a leash and knows some basic commands. He is housetrained and crate trained. He loves to run and play and would enjoy an active family who will take him on daily walks and adventures. He loves other dogs and we are looking for a home with another playful dog. He is currently in a foster home with children (ages 5 and 7) and does well with them. He’s very much a lap dog and will curl up with his people as soon as they sit down. Spencer is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Meet Radar! This handsome pup has a pug face and tail with a longer dachshund-like body and thicker hair like a lab! All that adds up to be the cutest little guy. And he’s just the sweetest and most charming. Radar is about 3 years old and weighs 18 pounds. We pulled him from a kill shelter and he’s doing great at the rescue. He’s proved to be an energetic love bug as he’s gotten comfortable here. He gets along with most dogs, but would need an intro to any new friends. He’d make a fantastic little family dog!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.June 19, 2024, 9:14 pm

Story
Brindle is the embodiment of "puppy in that she is extremely playful, incredibly loving, and just wants to be loved. When around other dogs or children, she wants to live life to its fullest. When not around them, and alone with an adult will either play with her toys and keep herself occupied or seek love and attention and potentially a place to nap with her adult. Brindle was found outside the doors of Eisenhower Middle School. We believe she was looking to expand her education. Her favorite toy is anything that squeaks that can also be chewed on. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Welcome Stevie to CCPAL Rescue. He is a 16- month old Pughuahua is our best guess. He is a small dog at 15 pounds. He has a great appetite and isn’t picky on his food. He currently eats in his crate. He is very puppylike and playful. He loves the small dog tennis balls. He likes all toys and will take the fluff out of them if he can. He is good in a crate and currently best friends with a small female playful dog in his foster home. He likes to run and play. He is crate trained and, on a schedule, will do all business outside. He is learning the doggy door. He does respond to the word “no” and stops what he is doing when you say it. He is good in a car and now good on a leash. He is friendly with dogs after he meets them. He would prefer a family of small dogs or no dogs would also be fine. When he goes outside to do his business, he does like his family to stay out there while he does his business. He will not go in his crate and will bark when he needs to go while in his crate. He was found as a stray on the streets of San Antonio. He was picked up by a good Samaritan after her day’s work. She saw him before work and after work he was still there so she took him home. He is now in a CCPAL foster home getting his training so he will be ready for his new forever home. He is not a big shedding dog, has an adorable underbite and a very cute curly tail. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Caost. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See his cute video.
