Story
Meet Lilly 💕 Lilly is a 5-year-old, 15 lb, Pug and an absolute force of nature—a little wrecking ball of excitement, kisses, and pure personality! This spunky girl brings fun wherever she goes and has never met an adventure she didn’t want to investigate. L Lilly ily may have an injured eye, but don’t let that slow her down. It hasn’t dampened her adventurous spirit one bit—and apparently, it hasn’t stopped the resident boy dogs in her foster home from developing a massive crush on this irresistible girl either! Smart, determined, and endlessly entertaining, Lily is always ready to take on her next challenge. She takes her slow feeder bowl very seriously and is determined to prove who’s boss. When she’s not busy conquering dinner, she loves nothing more than wrestling with her foster brother and getting her zoomies out. Lilly is crate trained and potty trained, and she loves going for walks. She currently lives happily with four other dogs of various sizes as well as a cat, so she’s accustomed to a busy, multi-pet household. At the end of the day, though, Lily isn’t just a bundle of energy—she’s also a spunky, cuddly sweetheart who loves being part of the action and sharing affection with her people. Lilly would thrive with a family who will embrace her adventurous spirit, appreciate her hilarious personality, and give her plenty of opportunities to play, explore, cuddle, and be her wonderfully exuberant self. Lilly is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $550.

Story
Meet Bourbon & Midori! Bourbon and Midori came into rescue after the loss of their owner, and thankfully, they still have each other. Together since they were little, these two are truly bonded and find comfort and confidence side by side. Their foster describes them as classic pugs-they love naps, snuggles, food, following their people around, and exploring outside, with plenty of playful moments mixed in. Midori is a little more cautious at first and can be the more stubborn of the pair, while Bourbon tends to take things in stride. They're great with other dogs, have done wonderfully with their foster's 8-year-old child, ride well in the car, and have shown no food aggression. Both are working toward healthier weights and currently need a little help getting onto higher surfaces. Midori is medically cleared and ready for adoption, while Bourbon still needs to have a dental completed. Bonded pairs can sometimes wait longer to find their family, but these two come with something extra special-a built-in best friend, twice the pug personality, and double the love. Story
Welcome Kiwi to CCPAL Rescue. Kiwi is a 10-week-old Pug mixed pup. She is a beautiful fawn color with a black muzzle. She has an underbite and a shortened nose. She is a smallest-sized pup in the liter. She should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Kiwi is the most outgoing and friendly in the group. She always comes when you call and wants to be picked up. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Kiwi is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Story
Meet Frost! This joyful 3-year-old is playful, silly, and always ready to have a little fun. He loves being outside, running around, and gets along great with other dogs. Frost enjoys cuddle time, but he's also a wonderfully independent guy who doesn't need to be attached to his person at all times. When it's time to settle down or sleep, he's perfectly content finding his own cozy spot. With his happy personality and playful spirit, Frost is a fun, easygoing companion who brings plenty of smiles wherever he goes. Story
Nutmeg is a sweet, gentle 2-year-old pug who is blossoming more and more every day. She has a softer, quieter personality and likes to take her time getting to know new people and new situations. Once she feels safe, though, her affectionate and playful side begins to peek through. She loves belly rubs, enjoys being close to her people, and has even started choosing to sleep right beside her foster-a wonderful sign of just how much her trust and confidence are growing. Every so often, she'll surprise everyone with a case of the zoomies, reminding us that there's a silly little pug hiding underneath that reserved exterior. Nutmeg is currently fostered with her 1-year-old son, Sage, and the two share a special mother-son bond. They can absolutely be considered for adoption together, but we also believe Nutmeg could really flourish in a home of her own. Sage has a big personality and loves being the center of attention, and Nutmeg will often quietly step aside. We would love to see what happens when this sweet girl gets the opportunity to soak up some of that attention for herself. Like Sage, Nutmeg would benefit immensely from having a confident, well-adjusted pug companion in her forever home. She doesn't need a dog who will boss her around-she needs a buddy who can calmly show her the ropes. Someone who hears a car door and knows it probably means a person is coming home, greets a visitor without worry, and shows Nutmeg through their own confidence that everyday sights and sounds are nothing to fear. Nutmeg is sensitive and responds best to patience, kindness, and gentle encouragement. She wants to trust, and we're watching that trust grow every day. With the right people, a confident pug friend, and the freedom to move at her own pace, we think there is so much more of Nutmeg waiting to emerge. She doesn't need to be pushed to become a different dog. She just needs a home that gives her the confidence and security to discover how wonderful being Nutmeg can be.
