Story
Ruby may have arrived with a little mysterywhile her records say she's 1 year old, the veterinarian who examined her believes she's likely closer to 3 years old. Either way, one thing is certain: she's 100% adorable. Ruby is finally getting the chance to discover everything she's been missingfrom family adventures to lazy Sundays on the couch. After spending much of her life having litter after litter, Ruby is finally free to simply be someone's beloved companion. She's a petite, athletic little pug who's happy to be wherever her people are. Ruby is wonderful with children, adores attention, and has never met a lap she didn't want to climb into (even strangers!). She isn't a one-person dog eithershe shares her love freely with everyone in the family. At bedtime, her favorite place is as close to her humans as possible. Out in public, Ruby is friendly with other dogs and enjoys making new friends. At home, however, she'd rather not compete for your lap. We think she'd be happiest as an only dog, or with a companion who prefers their own space and isn't interested in sharing cuddle time. Ruby has settled into foster care beautifully and has excellent house manners. She's very well potty trained as long as she's given regular opportunities to go outside. Like many dogs adjusting to a new home, she had a couple of accidents while learning her new routine, but those quickly resolved. If you're looking for the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, Ruby is ready to steal your heart! Please visit our website to learn more about this amazing pug and begin the adoption process!

Story
Welcome Kiwi to CCPAL Rescue. Kiwi is a 10-week-old Pug mixed pup. She is a beautiful fawn color with a black muzzle. She has an underbite and a shortened nose. She is a smallest-sized pup in the liter. She should be 20 or 25 pounds full grown is our best estimate. They all have curly tails and the round adorable heads. Kiwi is the most outgoing and friendly in the group. She always comes when you call and wants to be picked up. They are all affectionate and cuddly. They are very playful with their siblings. They go on a wee pad but are not fully potty trained. They are good in a crate and are getting regular attention and love at the Rescue. We don’t have the privilege of adopting out many pugs. We are excited to find the pug pups their forever home. We would love pug people for these pups, as they know the breed most. They will be spayed and neutered and ready for their forever home soon. Someone that doesn’t work all day every day is the best candidate for a puppy. These pups would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older as these pups are small and very trusting of everyone. Kiwi is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Story
Meet Astro. Some dogs let their past define them. Astro isn't one of them. This adorable little guy is full of life, always ready for an adventure, and has the kind of happy-go-lucky personality that makes everyone around him smile. Whether he's playing, exploring, or simply soaking up attention, Astro approaches each day with joy. His story, however, didn't start that way. Before coming into rescue, Astro wore the same collar for so long that as he grew, it became embedded in his neck. By the time he was rescued, it had become a life-threatening injury, sitting dangerously close to one of the major arteries in his neck. He underwent surgery to safely remove the collar and begin the healing process. Today, that's just one chapter in his storynot the whole story. What you'll notice about Astro isn't what happened to him. It's the way he greets life with a wagging tail, an eager spirit, and a heart that's ready to trust again. He's resilient, affectionate, playful, and an absolute joy to be around. Every day, he reminds us that dogs have an incredible ability to move forward with hope. Now it's Astro's turn for the life he's always deserveda family that will cherish him, keep him safe, and make sure he never has to wonder what love feels like again. If you're looking for a fun-loving, sweet companion who will fill your home with laughter and love, Astro is ready to meet you. Story
MEET BILLY THE BOXER-BULLDOG MIX! If you're looking for a quirky, energetic dog, a ball of energy ready to rumble and roll, Billy is it! He is a fun-loving 2-year-old boy who is ready to rock your world. Billy is so unique and funny - he's got big floppy ears, and one is usually up and the other down. Secondly, he's great with other dogs. He was basically raised in an animal shelter so got used to having other pups around. He absolutely needs an active person who can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. Billy is stocky and built like a tank, and weighs about 65 lbs. Can you foster or adopt him? Billy is currently in California, but can be transported to you in Washington. Please email for an application.
