Story

If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: To get started you must copy and paste this link into your browser, This is the fast way to meeting your new pet. https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry Summer is a beautiful and resilient girl who’s overcome a tough beginning and is now looking for a loving forever home. She was found as a stray with injuries to her legs and feet, but thanks to a wonderful foster family, she healed both physically and emotionally. During her time in foster care, she proved to be incredibly affectionate—she loves people, enjoys snuggles, and plays wonderfully with children. Now living at our facility, Summer continues to work on her manners. She’s doing great with her leash training, is learning not to jump when excited, and already knows commands like `sit` and `no.` She’s eager to please and very smart, which makes her a great candidate for continued training in a patient and loving home.Summer loves doing zoomies in the yard and spending time outdoors. She’s made some doggy friends here with slow, proper introductions, and would thrive in a home that can continue supporting her socialization. This sweet girl is ready to leave her past behind and start a new chapter with a family who will give her the love, structure, and security she deserves. Could Summer be the sunshine your home is missing?Summer was born July 2021Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, heart-worm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided which will cover the cost. If you are adopting a puppy all puppy vaccines are covered as well.

PLEASE READ ABOUT PAXTON We are searching for a family for Paxton who can foster him until he's ready to be adopted. Paxton will need a family who has some dog experience and who can handle a big, strong boy. He's very well-behaved and loving and snuggly. His only vice is the leash. He likely had some traumatic experience before he came to us and he's not a huge fan of having a leash on or having it taken off. He's been staying with one of our training teams, and they've made huge progress with him. He has come so far, but he'll need someone who can continue working with him. Without the leash, Paxton is a big ol' goofball. He loves belly rubs and is such a sweetheart. He enjoys playing with toys, and he's a huge fan of snacks. Paxton is a handsome boy and just wants to be your best friend. We would like to find a family who would like to foster Paxton while he finishes up his training and care. He will be able to be formally adopted once he's finished everything ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story

Dakota is about 6-7 years old, all bark and no bite. She's a gentle giant who loves to play and run around with other dogs. She lives with 5 kids, a chihuahua, and a cat. Unfortunately the chihuahua and cat are too scared to play with her because she is so big. She is bored a lot of the time and I'd like to find a home for her with other big dogs and room outside to play.

🎶🩷 Adopt Reba or Dolly 🩷🎶 These sisters were dumped and helped by Good Samaritans. They seem to have been in a home at one point because they have very good house manners - potty and crate trained and LOOOVVVEEE their people. They walk great on a leash and are good car riders. Each are about 70 lbs of pure love. Dolly and Reba are 2 years old and have the best smiles and if you want a good tv buddy - they are happy to sit right next to you. In fact, as close as they can to cuddle! They are good with other dogs and kids but chase cats so probably best in a cat free home. The girls look to be hound/ridgeback mixes. Come meet these beauties. Reba and Dolly are available through Animal Advocates of North Texas and are being fostered in Southlake. They will be totally vetted. Please help us by sharing this post!

Meet Heidi & Blue – The Perfect Pair Some dogs come into your life solo… and some come as the perfect, built-in best friends. Heidi and Blue are the kind of duo that just makes sense — and they’re looking for a home where they can stay together, just as they’ve always been. Heidi is a 6.5-year-old, 56 lb Collie mix with a gentle, loving nature. Blue is a 6.5-year-old, 100 lb Great Dane mix who is equal parts big, sweet, and affectionate. Together, they are the ultimate couch potato companions. These two are happiest living the simple life — lounging around the house, enjoying time with their people, and soaking up all the love they can get. Heidi is all about the belly rubs, while Blue is a professional hugger who will happily lean into you for affection. Despite their laid-back personalities, they both walk beautifully on leash and enjoy getting out for strolls together. They’re well-mannered, know commands like sit and stay, and are both crate trained and potty trained. Heidi and Blue would thrive most as the center of attention in their home, but they can also do well with other dogs when properly introduced. They haven’t been around cats in their foster home. While they haven’t lived with kids, their sweet, friendly temperaments suggest they would likely do well with respectful children. Why you’ll love Heidi & Blue:• Bonded pair with a beautiful, loving connection• Calm, easygoing, couch potato energy• Walk great on leash• Know basic commands (sit, stay)• Crate trained and potty trained• Super friendly and affectionate If you’ve ever dreamed of adopting two dogs who already love each other (and will love you just as much), Heidi and Blue are truly something special. They’re ready to bring double the love, double the snuggles, and double the companionship into their forever home. Ready to welcome this perfect pair into your life? Apply to adopt Heidi & Blue here:https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/70992/generic Heidi and Blue are located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state.
