Story
Shayleen is a very special girl. One of our fosters is sponsoring Shayleen’s full adoption fee.  So Shayleen is ready for her new home.  This beauty will always give you the ultimate fangirl welcome when you walk in the door. Shayleen loves her people and always makes sure they get a proper welcome. She’s never met a stranger, so she sees everyone as ‘her people.’  Shayleen loves to go on leisurely walks with her focus on taking in the good sniffs vs. getting in steps. Shayleen loves to sniff; it seems to be one of her favorite pastimes. She likes to bring one of her favorite toys along while she walks. She seems to think that they appreciate the fresh air, too. Her stuffed ball, rubber kong, and baseball are some of her go-to toys. But, if she doesn’t start her walk with a toy, she will usually find one along the way - maybe a stick? And she can’t miss an opportunity to make a friend. She also loves balls and is willing to fetch them, but she only brings the ball back to you in her own time. She loves her exercise but appreciates her downtime as well. Shayleen has a wonderfully balanced approach to life.  Shayleen is 8-years old and about 50 pounds. She’s been learning her manners and is becoming quite the polite lady. She doesn’t mind walking on busier trails or around doggy friends but isn’t interested in living with another dog. She’d prefer a place that she could call her own.  If you’re looking for that special someone, apply to adopt Shayleen.     For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Please ensure you understand those restrictions prior to choosing a dog. We verify rental policies and adhere to any restrictions.           July 14, 2024, 6:46 pm

We are only keeping one and are choosing to rehome the rest. We are looking for really caring people that are choosing to treat Draco right because every pet deserves a loving home.❤️If you know you will not treat him right consider looking somewhere because that is not acceptable at all and we will not tolerate it at ALL. Story
Kiya is a beautiful and affectionate Rottie mix girl. She is very cuddly and affectionate.  She loves to curl up with you on the couch. For being young, she is very low energy. Her favorite thing is to lay around and just chew on one of her toys or bones. She gets along great with other dogs, but she doesn’t have much interest in playing with them, she would rather just hang out. She does like to play with her foster mom.  She would be fine living with other dogs or as an only dog.   She loves to chase squirrels and chipmunks and chasing tennis balls is her favorite thing to do. She also loves her squeaky toys. She’s easily entertained and very goofy. She is crate trained and house broken. She loves her crate. Her current foster crates her at night and also when she is not at home. She will bark at strangers that are outside the house, but she’s fine once they walk in the door. She loves men and women. She loves to go for walks and sniff everything. She walks well most of the time but pulls at times when she sees a squirrel or chipmunk.  She does well with 2Hounds harness and would do even better with more training.  She loves to sniff and finding all the new smells in the yard and in the neighborhood are one of her favorite things to do. She is obedient and listens most of the time but gets a little hard of hearing if you’re calling her and she’s sniffing out a chipmunk in the yard.   She does well in a fenced yard, but if there are gaps, she will squeeze through one. She always comes back, but she needs a secure fence so that she doesn’t get out. She has shown resource guarding with her food and the other dogs in her foster home. She has growled and barked at them when they came near her food. For this reason, her foster feeds her in her kennel. Kiya is fine with this. We don’t know how she would be with resource guarding with humans, because her foster has never tried it. Her foster is able to put her food bowl in her crate and close the door with her in it at meal time.  She is easily distracted when you has something she’s guarding.  You can throw her tennis ball and she’ll chase it and leave what she is guarding. She takes treats gently. Because she resource guards, we are not going to place her in a home with small children. She would do wonderfully in a home with adults and teens.  She loves people.  She is the perfect low-key dog. Age: 1.5 years  Weight: 55 lbs  Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm negative and up to date on vaccines Temperament: good with bigger kids and other dogs but must feed separately.  Training: House trained, crate trained.   For questions, please email aimiablepetcare@aol.com   To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.July 11, 2024, 12:15 pm

Story
What's not to love about me? I'm cute, petite, a super snuggler and I heard some guy named Rick wrote a song about me!!! I'm Jessie Girl. They say I'm a boxer mix, but I'm not even 40 pounds. Fommy thinks I might have some Boston terrier in me, which might explain my high prey drive. I love my 4 legged family members in my foster home, but they should probably not be in a farm setting. Also, no cats or rabbits, please. I'm a super snuggler who loves to be under the covers - and that's any covers; I'm not picky, but I especially love to be under yours so I can be all warm and cozy. I'm house-trained and crate-trained. What I don't do well is walk on a leash. I would need lots of patience and training. I can act very crazy and unruly while on walks, and even scream a bit because I'm over-excited, so teaching me how to redirect/refocus would be my number one priority. I would rather have a home that has a nice, secure,  tall fence. That way I won't get the crazies.   I'm just a simple family girl out here looking for her forever life. If that might be you, let's meet to see! Story
So many famous Admirals in history, but first and foremost is me - I'm a famous Admiral! Meet Admiral, a neutered 8-year-old (12/13/2013) super energetic Boxer/Mountain Cur mix. He is lean and athletic and loves running and could probably command a naval fleet if needed.  Admiral will make the perfect companion for an active family.    Admiral is house and crate-trained and comes with a special escape-proof crate.  As a famous Admiral, he does need a fenced yard to run off his excess energy.  And a dog companion who likes to play and is around Admiral's size makes it easy to help this energetic guy settle down Admiral loves other dogs, playing, wrestling, chasing, and being chased. This handsome senior guy is ready for his own home where he gets lots of attention, play, and just being active! Just look at that goofy smile. Apply to adopt Admiral at the website shown below:     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found at http://www.angelsrescue.org/pet-forms/dog-adoption-app.asp and can be submitted online. Story
ROSS ~~ Boxer Mix, Fawn and White, Neutered Male, 68 pounds, DOB: 12/27/2021 Are you a one dog person looking for that one special dog? Come to Alpharetta and meet Ross to see if he checks off all the must haves!!! Ross has been with us for so long now and wants to go to his new home. He is looking for his forever person.... basically, someone that "gets him" and can't live without him. Come meet Ross today to see if that's you! FUN FACTS: Ross is super intelligent, very playful, and very curious about his surroundings. He likes learning new things and would do best with an active couple or family with older kids. Since he could use some basic leash and obedience training (nobody's perfect, after all), he may not be the best candidate around younger kids ~~ he tends to jump up in excitement. ENERGY LEVEL: Ross is a high energy, fun-loving, playful guy who would love his own fenced backyard to run around in. Do you have some cool toys or maybe even a pool, like to go for hikes or go running? Even better! Ross is food and treat motivated and will thrive in the right hands. OTHER PETS: Ross will need to be the only pet in the home. He does not get along with others and wants all the attention for himself. He is looking for an exclusive relationship with his favorite people. ADOPTION FEE/HEALTH: $65. His adoption fee includes one month of Simparica Trio (for heartworms, fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites). He's up to date on vet services, vaccines and is microchipped. We’re offering ½ off all adoption fees for pets one year and older to welcome Summer! MEET ME AT Crabapple Knoll, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Weekdays 630AM to 7PM. Saturday & Sunday 8AM to 4PM. Closed on all major holidays. Visit Ross at least two hours prior to closing.
