Story
Shannon is a young athletic Rottweiler/ Pointer mix looking for her forever family! She has a beautiful coat, and an athletic build! Shannon is estimated to be around 1yr old, and weighs 55lbs. She is dog friendly, and very playful. Shannon is working on her house training, crate training, and is learning her basic commands. She has a sweet and friendly personality. This deserving girl was picked up as a stray, then ended up at Walton Animal Control. She soon came down with a respiratory illness. BarkVille Dog Rescue pulled her, and she is now fully healthy and vetted, and ready for her forever family. Shannon has a medium energy level, and would benefit from a family who will provide her basic training and regular exercise. She can jump very high, and will need a tall privacy fenced yard, and owners who will keep an eye on this mischievous girl. Shannon would likely excel with agility training! Since she still needs to fine tune her manners, no small kids for this girl. If you&#39re interested in adopting Shannon, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.October 5, 2025, 8:53 pm

Story
I bought Jackson when he was a puppy from a breeder in Seattle Washington and had him shipped to me. He is a great dog but needs to have a yard and someone who has time to spend with him. Do to my extremely busy work schedule I feel like he needs someone that can walk him and throw balls with him. He is NOT HOUSE BROKEN. Jackson is AKC registered and shots are up to date. I have a huge kennel with a roof that will be given free of charge. You will have to come and pick him up and will need a trailer for the kennel.

Story
Hello! My name is EffieI am a 6-month-old rottweiler mixed puppy. If my big ole paws are any indication, I have a lot more growing to do and will likely be considered a large breed dog when fully grown up. I originally came in with my two other siblings in mid-December and was adopted for about a week and it sadly was not a good fit. Now I am back here, learning basic puppy skills, and ready to find my forever home! I can be shy when first meeting new people but quickly become your best friend. I am playful with other dogs and likely young enough to learn how to act around cats. Please come by and meet me! I am sure to make you laugh!Weight: ~35 lbs Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 34.4 Age: 0yrs 5mths 4wks

Story
LOOKING FOR A GOOD LEADER:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 61 lbs. Hi, my name is Doc! I originally came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and was adopted for a while, but it turned out not to be the right fit so I’m back with Mostly Mutts looking for the right home!  I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot!  I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I liked playing with the other dogs I met in the prison/foster training program and I like the dog in my foster home - when I’m finished playing, I’ll just lie down.  In my former home, I went to doggie daycare at times, so if you have a dog that would like a friend, let’s meet! / I got along with the cat in my former home though I did chase at times, but they reported it was not aggressively. All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with another cat. / I met some teenagers at the bus stop with my foster and liked them, so if you have kids 15+ and older, let’s meet and kids should not walk me.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a nice dog who is looking for a nice, dog-savvy family to give me good leadership and clear rules.  I’m a smart pup with working-breed traits, so I’ll thrive with plenty of mental stimulation and things to keep my brain busy.  I have a bit of neck sensitivity, so it’s best not to grab my collar suddenly.  There were 2 minor bites in the past, but I always give clear warning signs first.  My trainer will be glad to explain this and share tips to help set us up for success.  I’m affectionate with most people, a little selective with others, and sometimes get mouthy when I play.  With the right guidance, I’ll be a loyal, loving companion who just needs someone to believe in me. So, if you’re looking for a dog to be active with and you enjoy training as well as being a good leader to your dog, we could be a great fit!  / My energy level was 3-5 in the prison/foster training program, so a nice 30-minute walk when out to potty seems to be what I need.  But remember I do also want mental stimulation such as puzzle toys and games. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash walking manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  I really enjoy my training, and I’ve recently started training to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, which is a 10-skill program that teaches dogs good manners at home and in the community.  In addition to my MMU training, I’ve learned the ‘wait’, ‘off’, and ‘give’ commands and I’m currently working on my recall using a whistle.  I’m excited to keep learning and showing off my best manners as I work toward this goal!  I have also been to 2 additional Mostly Mutts after adoption training classes. / My crate manners were good in the prison/foster training program and were also good in my former home. / My potty manners were good in the prison/foster training program and were also reported as good in my former home and my foster home.  In my foster home, I notify my foster that I need to go potty by sitting and pawing at the door. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like spending time with people, playing puzzle games and mental stimulation with toys and training together.  I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we’ll like doing together, too! / As mentioned above, I’ve struggled with collar reactivity and there have been a select few people I didn’t care for. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.    • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  Not long after my initial rescue as a puppy, it was discovered that I was born with Legg-Perthes Disease and needed double FHO surgery. Thanks to the great care I received, I had my surgery, completed my recovery and physical therapy, and am doing really well!  I am taking an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin to keep my joints feeling their best. I am looking for a wonderful and loving home with a great family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  January 13, 2026, 9:01 am

Story
Meet Roscoe - a handsome 8-year-old, 54 lb. Boxer/Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his smile. Roscoe is the perfect blend of fun and affection - he&#39s a happy, social boy who adores being around people and making new friends. His sweet and easygoing personality makes him a joy to have by your side. Roscoe is dog-friendly and enjoys having canine buddies to play with, though he would be just as content soaking up love as the center of attention. With his medium-to-low energy level, he&#39s the kind of pup who can enjoy a playful romp with his toys or a nice walk around the neighborhood, and then settle right in for cuddle time on the couch. This smart boy loves to learn and already knows how to be a wonderful housemate - he&#39s housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on the leash. Roscoe would thrive in an adult-only home or with a family that has kids 12 and up, where he can feel secure and cherished. Roscoe is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped - all ready to start his next chapter. What he wants most is a forever family who will love him as much as he&#39ll love them. Whether it&#39s playtime, walk time, or snuggle time, Roscoe will be your loyal companion every step of the way. Could Roscoe be the one to make your home feel complete? Story
Drako is a low-key gentleman looking for his forever family! This sweet senior is a boxer mix, born on 6-27-2014, weighing 57lb. BarkVille Dog Rescue saved Drako from the Euthanasia list at an overcrowded GA shelter. He would be an amazing companion for a retired couple, or a family looking for an easy dog to love on! Drako enjoys the company of other dogs and likes to be close to his people. He is crate trained but prefers not to be completely alone - he likes to be crated near the other dogs in his foster home. He does show some signs of separation anxiety, so a family that is home often would be ideal for Drako. He walks well on leash, and is friendly and well mannered with everyone he meets. Drako is very loving and deserves to live the good life with a lucky family! His foster Mom reports he starts the day off lazy, and can become frisky in the afternoons - he has lots of personality! Drako is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. For more information about Drako, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org.
