Story
Shayleen is a very special girl. One of our fosters is sponsoring Shayleen’s full adoption fee.  So Shayleen is ready for her new home.  This beauty will always give you the ultimate fangirl welcome when you walk in the door. Shayleen loves her people and always makes sure they get a proper welcome. She’s never met a stranger, so she sees everyone as ‘her people.’  Shayleen loves to go on leisurely walks with her focus on taking in the good sniffs vs. getting in steps. Shayleen loves to sniff; it seems to be one of her favorite pastimes. She likes to bring one of her favorite toys along while she walks. She seems to think that they appreciate the fresh air, too. Her stuffed ball, rubber kong, and baseball are some of her go-to toys. But, if she doesn’t start her walk with a toy, she will usually find one along the way - maybe a stick? And she can’t miss an opportunity to make a friend. She also loves balls and is willing to fetch them, but she only brings the ball back to you in her own time. She loves her exercise but appreciates her downtime as well. Shayleen has a wonderfully balanced approach to life.  Shayleen is 8-years old and about 50 pounds. She’s been learning her manners and is becoming quite the polite lady. She doesn’t mind walking on busier trails or around doggy friends but isn’t interested in living with another dog. She’d prefer a place that she could call her own.  If you’re looking for that special someone, apply to adopt Shayleen.     For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Please ensure you understand those restrictions prior to choosing a dog. We verify rental policies and adhere to any restrictions.           April 26, 2024, 11:22 pm

Story
Meet handsome Jojo! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 2/3, and no one has come to reclaim him. We're surprised no one is missing this sweet boy. The volunteers have discovered that he is quite smart and knows the following commands: sit, stay, shake, and lay down. Someone took the time to teach Jojo manners, so we know he was cared for and loved at one time. If you're looking for a well-behaved, fun loving boy, please come meet Jojo! Jojo is approximately 2 years old, and he weighs 60 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, neutered, and tested negative for heartworms; he will be microchipped upon adoption. Jojo is waiting in run 881; his ID # is 653442. Jojo is smart and fun-loving, see video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-gm9TMzGE6Q Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Story
Meet Nova.  We were told Nova's dad was in the military and deployed, leaving three Dobermans with no where to go. The boys found safety, but the person who was going to take her, planned to breed her asap. As soon as we found out about the situation we knew we needed to help.  Nova is now safe with us. It’s so sad because her world has been turned upside down and if you know the breed - you know how sensitive they are. We saw a picture of her laying in the sunshine tucked against her brothers, and out of nowhere it all changed. This big baby is about as tender hearted as they come. Dobermans are often referred to as “dogs with the human mind” because they are to intune to what owners are feeling too. Needless to say this has been a lot for her. Nova is 1.5-2 years old and 80 pounds.  Nova needs a dobie loving home where she can thrive and be cherished. She’s been great with all the dogs she’s met thus far and loves kids! For more info please contact us asap! Please share with any Doberman lovers you know as well. We all thank you for helping us make these happily ever after s happen. Email adrienne@rescuemega.org PLEASE NOTE: Previous firsthand ownership experience with purebred Dobermans is a strict requirement to adopt Nova ##1703116##

Story
Meet Bandit, my 7-year-old purebred boxer. I have been with him since his birth, and he is the son of his late father who I also owned. Bandit has always had a companion, be it a fellow dog or a human at home. He is a lovable, laid-back dog that adores children and is extremely well-mannered. Bandit walks well on a leash, is housebroken, and is crate-trained. He loves having company, but things have been tough since I moved to an apartment, and he's been experiencing separation anxiety. Unfortunately, he's been howling, whining, and barking, causing my neighbors to complain. Bandit is truly a great dog who craves attention and companionship.
