Story
We rescued Nova over 5 years ago without knowing her age, after visiting the vet to get her shots and an initial checkup the veterinarian determined she was roughly 1-2 years old. She was spayed within a week and she’s been a wonderful dog since. She came to us already house broken, and she knew a few training commands. Nova has an initial shy personality, she’s very sweet and like most Rotties loves snuggling with her humans. Nova is eager to please and is quite the communicator be it with her eyes, head or body thrusts or quick grunts or huffs. Nova only barks when there is a reason. She prefers human interaction over dogs, and prefers interaction with smaller dogs over big, she’s initially shy when meeting new people or dogs and true to breed standards she is noticeably female, quite girly. Though 100+ lbs she is not an alpha dog and will submit to a larger or more aggressive dog.

Story
HI, I'M SHANNON, I LOVE KIDS AND OTHER DOGS. I HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED AND AM A VERY SMART GIRL. PLEASE APPLY AT WWW.BARKVILLEDOGRESCUE.ORG/APPLICATIONS OR INQUIRE AT INFO@BARKVILLEDOGRESCUE.ORG IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ME. Meet Shannon, a beautiful, young Rottweiler/Black and Tan Coonhound mix with a heart as lovely as her striking looks. At about 21/2 years old and 55 pounds, she has an athletic build, a gorgeous coat, and an even more beautiful personality. Shannon is sweet, friendly, and loves spending time with both people and other dogs. She has a playful spirit, enjoys being active, and would love a family that will include her on daily walks, hikes, or other adventures. After a day of fun, she's just as happy to relax and be by your side. This smart girl is house-trained, crate-trained, and was professionally trained at Rucker's Dog Training, where she learned excellent manners and many commands. She walks beautifully on a leash and is eager to please, making her a wonderful companion for a family looking for a well-behaved dog. Shannon's story began with uncertainty. She was found as a stray and brought to Walton Animal Control, where her future was far from guaranteed. Thankfully, we were able to rescue her just in time. Now all she needs is the one thing she has never truly had--a loving forever home. Shannon has so much love to give and is ready to share her loyal heart with a family of her own. Could you be the one to give this deserving girl the happy ending she's been waiting for? If you're interested in adopting Shannon, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.July 30, 2026, 1:12 am

Hi. Im Tito. They tell me Im a big boy, but I assure you, Im a tiny lap dog.

My résumé:

--Professional cuddler with unlimited availability.
--Self-employed fetch player. Yep, Ill toss my own ball around if youre busy or if theres new friends to show my skills.
--Kid approved. Little humans are pretty great, perfect snuggle buddy.
--Dog friendly. More friends the better!
--Strange animal friendly. My foster family has chickens and a chinchilla and theyre pretty cool, I bet cats are too.
--Excellent temperament. Im just a happy boy. My foster sister tries to check my food some times, and I just block her. Even when Im scared or have a boo-boo, I just want to sit a little closer.
--Pretty good leash manners. Sometimes I forget you dont know where were going but I love a pleasant stroll too!

Now, Ill let you in on a little secret: I like to make sure youre one of the good ones before I hand over my giant heart. Give me a little patience, a kind voice, and maybe a treat or two or five, and youll see Im all about love, loyalty, and leaning my entire weight against you because... well... hugs.

Im looking for a family that understands that sometimes the biggest dogs have the softest hearts. I dont need anything fancy-just a yard, a comfy place to nap, a few toys, and people who love me as much as I love them.

If youve been searching for a dog with the body of a Rottweiler and the soul of a snuggly teddy bear, I think we just solved each others problem.

Love,
Tito
